Perfectly located in the heart of Alba
Only 5 mins to the old town
Spacious rooms
Very clean rooms
Has a safe parking area
Overall you can feel safe in the hotel.
Breakfast was ok, it was quiet low season the time we were there so i was not expecting a wide variety of choices. However not a big deal it was just good as it can get.

My wife and I stayed recently at the Hotel Calissano in Alba during a cycling tour of the Piedmont region. The staff went out of their way to help us, including finding a self service laundromat, even after their first recommendation was inexplicably closed for the day. We were upgraded to a nice 2 room apartment, which was quiet and very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. The location is just south of the old city, which is easily walkable (Alba is not a large city, but is charming).

Drove up to the spacious entrance, family and dog. Stopped and within moments a gentleman came out to ask if we were staying. With our yes to the question he immediately brought a trolley for our luggage and then explained how to get into the underground private car park ( incidentally which was clean dry and spacious for modern cars, ours being quite large). We had a suite and one superior room for the rest of the family. The suite balcony enormous ( perfect for summer). We ordered some sparkling local wine to have as an apéro in the suite before dinner as it was bitter cold. Served when we wished with local olives and the regions famous hazelnuts ( the area is where Nutella comes from). The rooms were quiet calm and warm, luxurious bathrooms with more thick towels than we could ever need. Basically just excellent. The next morning a very good breakfast staffed by efficient calm people who replenished everything all the time on the buffet. Coffee made to order by a barista was as one expects in Italy full of flavour deep and fulfilling with that signature aroma that only the best coffee has.
All the staff we interacted with were polite efficient and charming, one person stood out as world class a gentleman called Bruno who met us on arrival. In all our travels he stands out as one of the very best people we have ever met in an hotel. So well done Bruno and well done Hotel Calissano for having him on your team. Next time we wish to stay in Alba we have no hesitation to book this hotel again. Incidentally the Saturday morning street market for clothes is well worth a visit.
Bravo Hotel Calissano.

4-star hotel close to the centre, area in front of the entrance for quick and possible loading/unloading, large and elegant hall with comfortable armchairs; Worth mentioning is the underground car park, which is safe and practical as it has a gate and is also connected to the reception via lift.
Double room 28 m2 located on the fifth floor, without balcony, predominance of wood from all furniture to parquet; equipped with almost all the comforts that a hotel of this category requires: large bed, wi-fi, luggage rack, desk, TV with national and international channels, air conditioning, safe, mini bar with good variety at fair prices; bathroom without window, large shower, small kit of products including slippers, wall-mounted hairdryer, unfortunately the hygiene guarantee band on the toilet is absent; bright room, quite comfortable bed, not the best in terms of soundproofing.
The breakfast was slightly disappointing, with a room in the basement: limited buffet, greater choice for sweets but poor choice for savory foods and fruit, also too many packaged products; nothing memorable.
Hospitality, availability and professionalism distinguish a formal but friendly staff; quick and exhaustive check-in with delivery of the badge for opening both the room and the garage, detailed responses from the reception to the various requests for information. Overall, the level of cleanliness of the room and the structure in general is satisfactory.
Two-night stay for an amount of €225; considering that breakfast and parking are included, correct price.

This hotel was wonderful - a great location in Alba, huge bathrooms, robust breakfast buffet included each morning, quick laundry service, cute lobby bar, and more. The bed was comfortable and the rooms were very clean and spacious. I would highly recommend staying here while you're in Alba!

Newly built hotel located a few minutes from the city center. Great welcome and speed on arrival; reception ten and praise! The hall is beautiful with large spaces and air conditioning. Medium-sized room furnished in a sober but very functional style with a fully equipped bathroom. Stratospheric breakfast both sweet and savory combined with courteous and quick service. It's worth going back, prices are normal.

For the white truffle fair in Alba, our group of 10 people enjoyed this hotel perfectly for both the "matrimonial" rooms and the apartments (2 rooms with a shared bathroom): clean, modern, well heated, perfect online and email booking, 100m from the city center and with free parking spaces in private garage. Breakfast in the dining room is hearty and very well served by efficient, smiling and polite staff. Perfect, I recommend this excellent hotel!

Situated in a quiet location a stone's throw from the centre, the hotel is run by friendly and helpful staff.
The rooms are comfortable, clean, and the breakfast is varied and plentiful.
Equipped with a spacious and free garage, then on the day of departure they kindly allowed us to leave our luggage and car with them so that we could visit Alba peacefully without any time problems.
Thanks again for your hospitality.

Distinction: there is Hotel Calissano and apartments at Hotel Calissano. We stayed at the apartments, which are in an adjacent building to the hotel. Bruno went above and beyond at check-in. He took us to the parking garage & directed us where to park our electric car rental. He even hooked up the charging equipment. Bruno then escorted us to our apartment and pointed out all features. Kudos to Bruno!
The apartment had a full kitchen with refrigerator and stove. Private bath was a nice size but a couple of comments: the shower door did not close all the way so water was always on the floor after showering; the light in the bathroom was motion sensitive and out of range of the shower, unless you waved your hands above your head. There needs to be a manual override for the light. We had a balcony but there was no furniture on it so we had to take kitchen table chairs out if we wanted to sit outside. The location was great, a 5-10 min walk to the center of old town. However, the street the hotel is on is a bit dark and off the main road. Thankfully there was always other guests walking back in the evening, but for two women walking alone, it felt a little desolate/sketchy. Breakfast in the hotel was included. The dining room that breakfast was served was pleasing and had plenty of room. There were a variety of selections for breakfast. Would stay at Calissano again if in the Piedmont region. It was easy to explore and visit other towns & go on excursions. We went on a truffle hunt and winery tour/tasting within 30 minutes of Alba. Also explored neighboring towns of La Morra & Nieve. Alba's old town was charming and we spent a few days and evenings wining & dining.

It was the third time I stayed in this hotel, but it is in frank decay due to lack of management.
I love animals, but allowing tutors to take dogs over 40 kg into the breakfast room goes beyond common sense.
First of all, human beings need to be respected, as no one can be forced by the hotel to drink coffee with animal hair flying through the room.
See in the photo the dog waving the ass!!!
Finally, for a hotel that presents itself as a four-star is quite far away: bad pillows; breakfast salon, outside of dog hair, is almost darkening of so much noise; ridiculous gym for a four-star.
The lack of management can be observed in all locations.
