Staff very friendly and helpful. Food was very good and varied. The problem was the hotel was full of policemen and construction workers. Pistols and semi-automatics on show everyday, and controlled the television every evening. Only 8 Brits skiing the week starting 16/02/2020. The amount of Brits or skiers is not within Crystals control but seeing that these other groups are there for the long term perhaps we could have been warned ?

It's been a really pleasant stay. Room has 4 actual beds rather than a double bed with a sofa bed - so we've all had pretty good sleeps. Hot shower, Room was boiling! V glad we could open the window. Good WiFi where we were (306), although there was a fair amount of noise from the road/train. Only 1 plug socket in the room! Lovely food with an interesting setup ~ pre-order dinner at breakfast time. They need to be told if ur having lunch in the hotel, the night b4, otherwise, they'll make u a substantial packed lunch (2 decent sized rolls, apple + a little cake). Dinner is a buffet style appetiser, followed by 2 courses & then a pudding. We ended up only having the appetiser & 1 main course, then pudding ~ otherwise we'd never eat it all. No kids menu, but they were happy to bring the 'sauce separately' 😄 Staff are v friendly & helpful.

This is a little gem of a place. The only negative is the size of the rooms which are very small, but everything else is good. The location is convenient, The staff are lovely, The bar and lounge are large and comfortable. The best thing is the food which was much better than its star rating.

A well located hotel close to all amenities, including the railway station. Handy parking right outside, no worries as the police station is opposite, and police cars fill the car park....., good sized balconies, good views, comfy bed, decent breakfast. There is a well stocked bar. Everything works, and everything is clean. Sofia on reception is superb, very friendly, polyglot and professional. Yes, it’s a bit tired, and showing its age, but aren’t we all! It’s a welcome stopover.
