This is a very historic and neat hotel. The view and beach is great and the service at the hotel is excellent. I will certainly return next time. Only little exception is the breakfast. Usually Italian breakfast is not good anyway but to improve a little better fruit and a barista for the coffee would be recommended.

Hotel's Favourite
Stayed her as part of a tour with GN Holidays. The hotel is really nice and the staff friendly and helpful. All rooms have a balcony with a couple of chairs and all have lovely views. The location is on the sea front and the hotel has an area of private beach with sun loungers and a shower. The beach isn't great as it's man made rather than sandy but nice enough to lounge on. There is a nice ground floor terrace and a small outside area on the fifth floor. Breakfast is a buffet which offers high quality food including bacon and scrambled eggs. Dinner each evening was very good indeed. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would recommend.

Been here twice and will go again. The price is reasonable, the view is fantastic, it is close to some lovely restaurants, and the bus stop to go to San Remo, the rooms are very sweet. The breakfast is good, they have a lock up garage to park overnight.

Great location, close to beach and railway station. Most rooms have a sea view. We were on an organised tour including the Monaco Historic Grand Prix. We had a Dinner, Bed and Breakfast basis with Free evening local drinks deal. We were expected to eat dinner with the ~40 others on the tour, the menu was limited and the food poor. We were expecting great Italian cuisine, and were presented with very bland and grey food. Service at times was questionable, although a couple of the young staff were trying hard. Often difficult to get bar staff to take an order but the staff were pleasant. Wine offered was awful in the main. Room was clean and the housekeeping staff were very pleasant and efficient. It was unseasonably hot for the end of May (35c) but we were not allowed air conditioning because “it is not June”. This is unacceptable! I expect they would use the excuse “it is not October” if it was cold in September! “Very Faulty Towers”

This hotel looks like it hasn’t been renovated in 30 years and is in a very story state Beds are bad, walls are thin, wood labelling and paint are chipping away, a large portion of staff is dishonest and incompetent. They also speak very poor English, which doesn’t help if you don’t speak Italian Our room was also facing the railway - noisy and ugly. A waste of the money - even though the location is nice

A deep renovation is long overdue.. Wood in the rooms is chipped, toilets are leaking.. I can hear guests in the adjoining room watching TV or talking. Very painful. They even have a form to ask them to fix specific items - showing they are used to a crumbling hotel. Our room has a beautiful view of the railway. Nice, for 250€ a night - well done. On top of that - the staff doesn’t care about Covid. Literally none of them is wearing their mask properly - either no mask at all (eg at the reception - they are behind a protective panel but this is not enough and it doesn’t respect the law) or mask under the chin/ under the nose. A bit scary - especially in the restaurant where you spend lots of time and in your room once the cleaning has been done..

I stayed for a week and paid extra for a front facing sea view room with a balcony- this was well worth the extra for the view, and that it was away from the train line which ran at the back of the hotel. The hotel was in a great position for a walk on the promenade, and to get to the railway station and the town centre. The room was large and comfortable and very quiet- I loved this, but the shower room was definitely in need of refurbishment as very shabby! Please, please get rid of hose hair dryers- they are useless!! There were plenty of good quality towels and the room was kept nice and clean. Only one useable plug in the room - the i,pad, phone etc had to take it in turns to re charge. The breakfast was ok when the staff had everything ready, but fresh fruit took time to come out, the water was not always boiling to cook boiled eggs, and I was told the ‘hot’ items, bacon and eggs were lukewarm - cold. The evening meals were ok , but nothing special. There was always a choice of meat, fish and vegetarian and a lovely fresh salad bar. The staff were always helpful, DiDi the waitress especially always had a smile and was very friendly and professional in her job. I loved Bordighera and the town which was situated just in Italy away from the French Riviera- travelling was easy using the train . There were lovely walks and countryside not too far away and I would stay at this hotel again despite the comments.

The place is in a wonderful location, right on the beach! My room was spacious, clean and comfortable, with a small balcony that faced the sea. The whole personnel was kind and gentle. Moreover, included in the price for the room I had one-hour access to the SPA, which needed to be book tough. Recommended.

After staying here for four days in May (see my previous review), we decided to come back for a full week during high season. When we were here previously because of the time of year and the days of the week there were a few restaurants that were closed as well as the beach and we really needed some sun and down time. We flew in rather than driving down. We had the same room on the fourth floor which was lovely. All the staff were very helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Special thanks to the staff on reception who booked our restaurants, the beach lifeguard who was very friendly and our local cab driver who took us back to Nice airport on the way home. Was there anything wrong? Not really - we used the spa which was very nice but the steam room was out of order. The breakfast staff could smile a bit more. I'm nitpicking to be honest. We loved the hotel, we loved Bordighera. We shall hopefully return next year.

We stayed for 7 nights in early September and all of our experiances of the hotel and Bordgihera were positive. The reception staff, restaurant waiters and cleaning ladies were so pleasant and helpful. Our standard front sea facing room with balcony was perfect and allowed us to simply sit in the afternoon sunshine looking out to the Mediterranean Sea.The breakfast selection was more than adequate and in the evenings we ate in 4 different nearby restaurants and also in the hotel and all of the food and service could not be faullted. The hotels private beach and sun beds were a bonus. We had a most enjoyable and relaxing visit and can recommend this family owned hotel.
