We had not booked this hotel beforehand. We happened to find it the same day we visited there and stayed over night cause the place seemed really good and price was okay for our budget. The hotel was about 1km away from the beach which made the place calmer to stay. The walk to the beach was easy and fast and one the way there was good restaurants for lunch or dinner. The hotel also offers breakfast and it can be included to the room price but for us it wasen't. The rooms were clean and nice to stay, showers a bit small but okay. The price for 4 people for one night was 140€ without breakfast. I liked the place and would stay there again. The closest airport seems to be Côte d'Azur, which is located in Nice, France.

It is very well positioned to discover all of Bordighera, Bordighera alta, some excursion up the hills, walking to the central town and the sea. Its surroundings are very green, also I appreciated the garden.

Length of stay : 7 nights Strength : -the view of bordighera from top -the waiter of the restaurant was very friendly and doing his job with love. -the night receptionist was very friendly and helpfull. -nice balcony in the room to taste the view of the whole city (but not recommended for kids cause dangerous) Weakness: - Old equipment, looks like mussolini era.. - Staff at the reception (in general the owner or his daughter) are weird, hardly friendly. -the rooms are very small and old, paint, bed, roof ventilator are coming straight from the 1930's era. -the bathroom was dirty around the bath its black because of the germs.. - the breakfast was horrible (hard bread, yoghourt, cafe or milk, butter and thats it) for 7 nights believe its a terror. -the hotel is located at a higher point of the city, if you spend the day or the night in the city you will hardly reach the hotel because of the long walk. -no airco, its a big weakness specially during the summer when its 39 degrees... -the price, am sorry the prices were disconnected from the reality if you look at the equipment of the hotel. -last point, wifi really bad internet you cannot even send an email correctly... hope that users will find my comment useful. message to the hotel : if you are really not able to manage that hotel, please sell it to somebody who can do it, it has a big potential but need lot of investment.

I went for a couple of days to free my head. Very nice new people who are trying to get the hotel running again. The hotel askes for some renovation, but you feel home right away and everything is clean. The kitchen is very good. So if you book for only 15€more you have dinner included. I can promise you ,you will like it! After dinner you can drink something in the garden or go to the center of town (5 min walk). I will go back

We stayed here 4 nights. It was not foreseen. We wanted to move on, but Bordighera is so lovely that we stayed. When we saw the room it was so sober but all very clean. The restaurant is great and the servends are really friendly. In the garden it is lovely to read or work on the laptop because the WI-fi is working good. You fall into peace with the birds and nature. I would go back but take a good room (they have also very small ones but in the summer they are nice and cool. all the rooms have a pleasant view.

This was once a wonderful, luxurious hotel. Now, it feels a bit like an old folks home. The tour group of somewhat elderly german folks seemed right at home. The breakfast which was included in the price, was fine, but probably the worst food we had in all of Italy, i.e. it was better than anything you would get in the USA, but not great. No AC, but the wifi did work.

We pulled in here at the end of a hard day's drive and agreed to pay what seemed to us an expensive rate just so we could get off the road and relax. Having driven through Spain, France and now entering Italy, this rate was second only to a room with a balcony overlooking La Rambla in Barcelona. We therefore expected some degree of comfort however the rooms were very tired, small, dated and I could not even find a hairdryer. The man at the front desk waivered between accommodating and rude very quickly. The only reason I have even given it one star is the outstanding service received from the gentlemen serving in the restaurant. Thank you for giving us a lift in an otherwise depressing environment.
