We stayed so we could visit the monastery and the commonwealth war graves. The hotel is a little walk from the town or a very reasonably priced taxi ride. The staff at the hotel could not have been more helpful. On our first night we almost had the whole place to ourselves, we were really looked after and nothing was too much trouble. Tiny criticism was our room was quite warm, we couldn’t get the air con working but couldn’t be bothered to walk down to reception and ask, after a long day walking to the monastery. Room was extremely clean and sanitized. Breakfast was plentiful and our evening meal very good. No complaints at all and would return. The addition of seeing the dog sitting at reception made our stay - lovely to have a cuddle with her.

The hotel’s staff were extremely helpful, they went out of their way to help us all the time, breakfast is very good, location is great between Naples and Rome. A visit to the Abbazia di Montecassino is a must. Thank you again

Stayed here in the off-season with a group of 40+ Canadians visiting battlefields of the Second World War. This hotel is showing its age in terms of facilities, but is unmatched in the quality of its service. Any issue raised was immediately addressed and if a solution was not available a work-around was provided. As an example, on our last night in Italy we had attended and reception in Rome and thought we would not return in time for our already-paid-for dinner. After a phone call from the bus as we drove back to Cassino, the hotel arranged a simple supper for our group on arrival, despite it being about 15 minutes after the usual dinner hours had ended. The quality of the service and the relatively competitive pricing make up for the lower quality public spaces, wifi and rooms.

Stayed here for a week while attending a sporting event in the area. Whilst the location is good the hotel did not live anywhere near to expectations for a so called 4 star property. The hotel is extremely tired in all areas of the property. The common areas are very hot and uncomfortable to sit around. There is a lounge area but during the day it is unusable due to the very poor air conditioning systems. This issue extends to the restaurant area. Going up to the rooms the hall and stairway carpet is almost black with dirt and grime and looks like it hasn't been vacuumed in a very long time. The room itself is bright and was clean however that's where the good points end. The air conditioning basically is way too small for the size of room. The 2 first nights I just couldn't sleep and was forced to buy a fan which I used for the remainder of the stay. I wanted to check out and move hotels but the area was fully booked at the time and so reluctantly I had to stay. The property seems to be used for bus tours and the place was full with several large coaches every night which takes over the restaurant and the property becomes very noisy. Safe to say I can't recommend this property and I won't be back and will use one of the other hotel properties in the area.

Response from HotelPalaceF, Direttore at Forum Palace Hotel & Experience Spa

Dear Client, thanks for all your suggestions. It seems though, that your opinion is a bit too harsh on us. You happened to be in a very busy period which is the normality in summer time, also in all other properties in the area. Our property is known for its decour and cleaness. In the period of your stay, we've had some problems with the air-conditioning system but only in the restaurant. All the common areas were conditioned and our system being centralised, keeps an average temperature of the whole building which is never extreme, but neither as you say 'very poor'. Unfortunately, your complaint arrived to the managment only at your check-out and that's why all we could do was to discharge you two nights off your stay bill. If we had known earlier, we could have done something and turn your stay into a happy one. Best Regards The Managment

Very Clean and comfortable room, large bathroom with walk in shower. Good breakfast and excellent evening meals. The staff could not have been more helpful during our stay. This hotel is not luxury but it is value for money.

Someone else said that this hotel was "tired". It's almost exhausted. We were there for two nights. It was hot and the air-conditioning didn't work. When I pulled a towel off the towel rack the latter came crashing to the floor. I went to the desk a number of times to get the A/C working and they repeatedly told me that it was now on and would cool off. That wasn't true. So I spent the night with the window open on a noisy street. Luckily I had ear plugs. I can't imagine that you couldn't find a better place to stay in Cassino. The wifi worked but was very slow.

The price is good for the standard of the hotel, but having said that it was a tired and "stuck in time" hotel. It is far from 4 star, but rooms are large, but many facilities are just working. Our in room fridge didn't work, our air-conditioning was OK for the first night but had to be fixed for the second night. Some of our group had no air conditioning. Breakfast was very adequate for the price. It seems they have not spent money on refurbishment ... Ever. Lifts worked well. Fine for a stopover as close to the motorway. Evening meal basic but good value and some nice local wines. Would recommend, but you must realise what you are getting.

The Forum Palace is in a good location for a road trip, with easy minimal-traffic access to autostrada and plenty of onsite parking. The hotel itself is a bit of a throwback--expect for the flat-screen TV, the rooms could have been almost unchanged for decades. They are, however, perfectly comfortable, the bath is fine, and the WiFi works well. I'd stay there again on a similar visit to the area.
