My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights. The hotel is very clean. Our room was very clean. Francesca at the front desk was very helpful with planning our adventures. She gave great advice and would help us over come any problems we had. She gave us great information on how to get to the airport. The owner Francesco checked on us and had friendly conversations with us. The hotel’s location was great for seeing Pompeii, Sorrento and Naples. We would walk to the train station to see these attractions. We also walked to the water to see the little town.

Hotel's Favourite
Our experience in Europa Stabia Hotel was extraordinary! Why? 1) We came late and dear Francesca, the daughter of the hotel owner, immediately checked us in smoothly and professionally to a nice high level room facing the sea side and the property's beautifully groomed front side entrance. 2) In the morning we were greeted nicely by the lovely Francesco, the hotel owner, who told us that he will do everything to make us feel at home, and so he did (for example - shattered phone screen which was fixed within one hour with discount, PCR test that was done in 15 minutes, answer to my email within few hours, and a discount, nice recommendations and tips etc... and overall great smile, positive energy and sharp mind). We have received top notch service the whole 4 night stay... Originally planned to do 3, but we decided to have one extra. 3) For Pompeii and Sorrento, the hotel location was perfect, smack in the middle between them, and 40 minute drive from Positano. Parking available in the hotel (extra cost), however there is plenty of parking on the street outside.. Francesco was kind to treat us with free parking on our last night. 4) The facilities, property and rooms are super clean, great smell all around. We had comfy beds and a big balcony, even a bathtub in the bathroom, good AC. Hotel has a cute pool area with sun beds, green grass and cocktails delivered by dear Vincenzo. Computer station for any need, restaurant, a basic yet fresh and decent breakfast. Grazie Mille!

The hotel was away from the hustle and bustle of the quaint city of Castellammare. The friendly accommodating staff were definitely one of the highlights of the stay. Very helpful and upbeat, they really cared about making sure you were enjoying your stay. Umberto in the dining room, Maria at the front desk, Raffaele at the bar and the rest (can't remember all the names, but all were great) helped make it a great stay for 5 nights as we explored the Naples area. Room was on the small side but very clean, nice clean crisp cotton sheets! The daily breakfast was just right; had dinner there a couple times as well and enjoyed it, would definitely recommend this hotel and go back. The octogenarian owner had an office just off the front desk and seemed to be there whether it was 8AM or 8PM, working away or greeting guests. A very pleasant gentleman.

Where do I start ? First the good points: The hotel was very clean The staff at front of house very friendly The pool area and gardens very nice and tidy Now the not so good points. The hotel was almost empty ( only saw 4 other guests during our stay) and yet we had to wait almost 2 hours for our room to be ready ?? The hotel charges for use of their pool ?? I have never ever heard of that for a holidaying guest and no way would I pay . The view from the front is horrific with a huge derelict building standing just yards away . We were hoping for a rear room, which we got, however, the view was only marginally better and the noise of honking motorists from 7am in the morning was unbearable. The location of the hotel is far from ideal with nothing around the hotel ( other than the eyesore mentioned above . The breakfast room was like a morgue - no atmosphere and we were unable to sit outside ? The staff on duty here was very impersonable and when we asked for breakfast tea, was told 'there isn't any' ?? - no breakfast tea at breakfast - wow. No eggs on first morning ? And bread not replenished on second morning ? Perhaps we should have researched the hotel more before booking so our own fault I guess ? It did not spoil our break as we had 2 lovely days out visiting Sorrento and Positano so did not spend more time than needed in the hotel. To quote the formidable hotel inspector - "oh darlings come on ". ......

Dear Keith McNall, thanks for the review and ... I am also undecided where to start but ... I want to write something for the readers: - you have booked a low cost standard double room for n. 02 nights (with your operator); - check-in is from 15.00 and you arrived at 11.00; - while we waited, we offered you a drink of your liking; - you received the room key at 13.00; - the conditions in the contract provided for the use of the swimming pool for a fee (did you buy the holiday? or was it imposed on you?) and everything is well written with nothing hidden; - using the swimming pool is optional and nothing is obligatory with us; - around the hotel there are many shops, churches, pharmacy, bars, delicatessens ... I didn't understand what you were looking for ?; - instead a few steps away on foot (about 10 minutes) there are restaurants, bars, ice cream parlors, a large promenade for strolling, two Roman Villas (archaeological excavations), two train stations, a cable car station to visit Monte Faito, the port from where ferries leave to go to Capri, taxi rank, etc. - IN THE HOTEL WE HAVE A RICH AND DELICIOUS BREAKFAST THAT ALL THE PREVIOUS COMMENTS PRAISE AND WE ALSO HAVE EXCELLENT RESTAURANT WHERE WE SERVE EXCELLENT MEALS. - how can you say that there were only 4 customers in the hotel? I have a now spontaneous question "what were you looking for here"? Is a 2-night stay a holiday? TRY TO ASK Alex Polizzi .. :) Good life...
