The Europa Stabia Hotel is widely celebrated for its pristine amenities, with guests frequently lauding the comfortable beds, inviting pool, and esteemed on-site restaurant, augmented by convenient shuttle services. Despite its somewhat secluded setting, its proximity to Pompeii and Sorrento and nearby train access have been appreciated by many. Visitors consistently commend the hotel's cleanliness and the hospitable staff, who are recognized for their warmth and attentiveness.
Room cleanliness and comfort receive high marks, though a few guests have noted some dated elements. While opinions on value vary, the vibrant Sunday nights strike a chord with families and create a lively scene.

Detailed Reviews
We have just returned from a lovely 10 night stay here, It is a great base to explore the amalfi coast, the hotel is in a secluded location above the town centre it is around 15 mins walk to the centre and the hill is steep therefore I would not really say it is suitable for anyone stay who has problems with mobility, however I believe they do offer a shuttle service but we did not know when this was open for day/night for use.
The hotel staff are very friendly and the manager always checked how every body was during the stay.
The bed was very comfortable and rooms were cleaned every day.
The fourth floor rooms on the right hand side have a lovely view of the mountain side.
Please make sure you are aware that there are additional things you may have to pay for on arrival at the hotel, the pool is chargeable it is 5 euros per person for 2 hours, 10 euros per person for 4 hours, 20 euros per person for the full day... but I believe this is not the case for every customer it depends which tour operator you have booked with- we used Love holidays so as we wanted it we had to pay additional charges for air conditioning use per day which was 10 euros, the safe is 5 euros per day (if you request to use this) the fridge is also 5 euros per day (if you request to use this)
We never had a meal at the restaurant, FYI the price was 35 euros person for the three courses.
There are plenty of restaurants in the centre of town to eat please note on Monday's a lot of them are not open as this is their rest day.
The train station in the centre is easy to get to and the fare to sorrento is only 2 euros each such good value and only takes 20 minutes, pompeii was 3 euros each and that takes 15 mins.
I would say the only improvement that could be made from our view is the breakfast every day was the same.. sliced cheese, sliced salami, Tomatoes they did bring out poached eggs, hot dog sausages, boiled eggs daily but they were always cold, they definitely need the toaster replacing we stood there most mornings 10 minutes and even then it didn't brown the toast.
If you like cakes, croissants though they had plenty of those on offer.

We spent a lovely week at the hotel, the hotel owner and his daughter were particularly helpful; the hotel was spotlessly clean and staff were friendly and polite.
We enjoyed the alfresco breakfasts in the courtyard and relaxing on our balcony in the evenings. The hotel location is in a peaceful spot towards the mountains; the sound of birdsong and the very well-kept gardens added to the feeling of serenity.
The hotel was a good base for visiting Naples, Sorrento, Positano, Pompei and Herculaneum, and Castellamarre itself has a lovely stretch of restaurants along the sea front with views of Vesuvius across the Bay of Naples.
The hotel is a 10 minute walk away from the Via Nocera train station but the hotel runs a shuttle service in the mornings and early evenings which was very helpful. Trains on the Naples to Sorrento line are very frequent so this was a good way to get around.
We very much enjoyed our week here and hope to stay again and explore more of the area.

After seeing a handful of negative reviews i was very wary booking this hotel but decided to for the price. It says this hotel is 4 star and maybe it could be if they did not charge for things like air con and use of the pool and mini fridge. With these things included, it might definitely be 4 star. The rooms were clean and tidied everyday and had a balcony.
The staff were very very lovely and helpful as we were two young girls and a little bit nervous travelling around Naples, they helped us and offered advice and a shuttle down to the local train station (€5 each) so that we were not as scared. The area is much further away from Central Naples but close to the train station Via Nocera which is much closer to Pompeii and Sorrento so in this case the location was great. The hotel is up a steep hill and right next to a sharp bend in a road so there is constantly lots of car and motorbike noise which is very loud at night. The hotel room walls are very very thin and if you have horrid neighbours like we did then good luck!
The breakfast offered by the hotel was lovely with lots of cake and pastry options as well as toast and fresh pancakes and a coffee machine, maybe some fresh fruits and hot food options would make it better but it did the job.
All things considered, I would book this hotel again as I now know what to expect from it.

Dear Customer, Thank you for your review, thank you for being our welcome guest and thank you for trusting your instincts to book our hotel. Reviews can never be all the same and they can never please everyone...because this is our democracy. Democracy itself allows me to counter your statement about the stars because membership is not defined by paid services but rather by the services one receives. Your reservation was part of a "low cost" package that you bought (because it had a low cost AS YOU WROTE) aware of what you would receive and it doesn't seem right to CRITICIZE OUR HOTEL AFTER YOUR HOLIDAY. YOUR PACKAGE PURCHASED FROM YOUR TOUR OPERATOR IN YOUR CITY INCLUDED THINGS INCLUDED AND OTHERS FOR PAYMENT AND LEFT TO YOUR FREE JUDGMENT...IN FULL DEMOCRACY. Thank you for the kind words addressed to the staff and our services, our rooms, the cleanliness that reigns everywhere and which are some of our strengths. THANK YOU. IN REFERENCE TO YOUR OBSERVATION ON THE BREAKFAST I want to inform readers that our breakfast includes many hot, sweet and savory things and fruit and fruit salad INCLUDED ... and .. other things instead "hot and freshly made - EXTRAS" to order from the staff ..but that you never ordered. I'm sorry you didn't mention this. In a democracy everything is said, everyone is listened to and everyone is answered. Thank you for the next experience you want to have with us where you will receive all our attention. Good life. Greetings from the beautiful city of Stabiae La direzione F.D.

We booked this hotel for two weeks in July. We wanted to explore the amalfi coast with our own car so were prepared to stay a little out of the way to enable us to do that. It appeared to be a very reasonable price compared to other 4 star hotels which were more central. We planned to have alternative days touring and relaxing days by the pool. However we were unable to do this as the hotel charged 20 euros pp per day to sit near the pool. Essentially would cost Ud 40eurosx 7 days which we felt was unfair as guests. To park our car was 20 euros a day so another 280 euros which was unexpected. To pay 560 euros for services you woukd expect to be provided in a four star accommodation is unacceptable and highly unusual. We then discovered there was a daily charge for air conditioning and use of the fridge. Even when we asked for air conditioning it appeared to not be working most nights and until we relentlessly complained due to being unable to sleep was it rectified. As there was no drinking water we brought in bottles of water. We received complaints that this was forbidden? Once we were exhausted from climbing beautiful Vesuvius and bought a take home pizza from the local shop instead of eating out and it was spoiled by a stern email from management that this not allowed. Our room was very basic with a horrible view of a derelict building and we did asked to be moved. We were told this would be an additional 100 euro per night! We declined. We had breakfast some times but didn’t go mostly due to it being coffee from a machine and plastic cheese and ham. Most unusual for Italian hotels. (We have visited all over Italy more than 20 times). The area is great for a base, the town is lovely abd great location for the cable car. We still had a nice holiday despite the hotel experience but I would not recommend you stay here unless you accept what I have outlined above. I notice the owner Francesco is always defensive in any negative views here and in fact he told us he would give this response if we reviewed on trip advisor. I would encourage him to reflect professionally on honest reviews and he would be better served to evaluate, listen and improve as small tweaks could make this hotel much better. All the charges meant we did not eat it drink in the hotel which we woukd normally have done and gained the hotel more income .

Dear Wendy R, thank you for the review and sharing your experience with the world of the web and thank you for giving me the opportunity to inform readers by borrowing some of your statements and advice that you have given and complete them with my advice: - Do not be fooled by the initial cost = DO NOT STOP ONLY AT THE PRICE BUT READ CAREFULLY THE CONDITIONS OF THE CONTRACT YOU ARE SIGNING When you sign a contract with a third person and in this case your travel agent and / or your tour operator ... you must refer to him ... and ... DO NOT BLAME THE HOTEL MANAGER WHO HAS NO Fault. ..And then I'll add ... if you have visited Italy many times and if you have traveled a lot .. - you will surely know that IT IS FORBIDDEN TO INTRODUCE FOOD AND DRINKS from the outside for reasons of hygiene but above all to protect you from unpleasant inconveniences of "malaise" ... For your other observations .. I leave all readers free ... to read the POSITIVE reviews that talk about us, about me .. - cleaning, our breakfast, our gardens, our swimming pool, our service at the pool bar, our kitchen, our tennis court (FREE), our rooms with private terrace, our air conditioning system (controlled directly by the customer), our large parking lot (video surveillance, fenced, private, monitored day and night), our excellent (free) WI-FI network, our electric bicycles, our electric vehicle charging column, possibility of anti-stress massages, the possibility of booking taxis, booking / buying tickets for Capri, Pompeii, Vesuvius, Ischia, Procida, Naples, Amalfi, Positano, Ravello, Scavi di Stabia, shuttle service to the station, newspapers in foreign language (free), our rooms all furnished with TV (with channels in all languages), safes in all rooms, our gazebos (special places outside where breakfast and dinner are served) .. and .. finally WHERE WE ALWAYS TALK ABOUT OUR EDUCATION, KINDNESS, PROFESSIONALISM and KNOWLEDGE OF ALL LANGUAGES. - P.S. = the water that comes out of our taps IS DRINKABLE (just ask for ...) Thank you for giving me the opportunity to prove POSITIVE .... indeed ... STILL POSITIVE .. after the terrible moment of COVID ... and .. today .. with the terrible moment of "winds of war" .. that grips us and slows down the economy WORLD. Good life to all of US ... We stayed at Europa Stabia at the end of July. First of all, let me say that these people, from the owner to everyone else who works within this hotel are the most lovely people you will ever meet. Kind, considerate and go out of their way to help and assist. If I were rating them, it would be no less than 5 stars. However, I feel that it is only fair to let travellers know that there were things about this hotel which we were not aware of before our arrival. Firstly, the cost of using the onsite pool during the week is 25 euros per day per person and includes lunch. At the weekend this increases to 30 euros per day per person. I was shocked that this was the case as every hotel I have ever stayed in, have never charged extra to use the pool on site. Another point to mention is that as the hotel is not central, although the hotel have a transfer which you are charged 1.50 euros per person to use, this is only available until 9.00pm at night, you are then left with 2 options. The walk is far too far to go into the town and if you call a taxi, this will set you back by 25 euros each way, even though the trip takes a maximum of 10 minutes. Other than these points, would recommend this hotel.

We spent 7 nights at the Hotel Europa and
it was the best choice ever. The owner
Francesco was always friendly and kind,
Mario and Simona at the reception was
alway available for any questions. The
room was spotless thanks to Anna who did
an amazing job every day
The view from our room was beautiful
looking at Mt. Vesuvius. The location of
the hotel is ideal, easy reach to the train
station to go to Sorrento (train ticket
€2.20/person) or to see Pompei (train
ticket €1.40/per person).
The walk from the hotel to the town is
about 16 minutes but the hotel offer a
shuttle bus service for €5/pp. We didn't
mind the walking regardless it's very steep,
Castellammare Di Stabia is a lovely town
nice walk on the beach.
We would love to come back again and will
definitely choose the Hotel Europa. Thank you for the great service Francesco.

The service offered by Francesco and his team is a rare find these days very polite attentive staff. Francesco made a point of introducing himself and speaking with his clients which enhances anyones stay and offers an old fashioned cham and personal service making the customer feel respected and valued. Lia on reception was "golden"always offering a first class service and advice on all aspects of travel to get you where you want to visit. We tested her a lot as there is so much to see in the area 😀 and you are always greeted with a smile and genuine interest in how your day has been when you return to the hotel. The rooms are cleaned to a very high standard and towels changed daily and bed linen changed regularly. The restaurant staff are very welcoming and attentive and the food is to a high standard and served to your table. We are very sad to leave a place which has felt like home for the past 10 days. We send our love to you all and hope to see you all again..... until the next time!

Our experience in Europa Stabia Hotel was extraordinary!
Why?
1) We came late and dear Francesca, the daughter of the hotel owner, immediately checked us in smoothly and professionally to a nice high level room facing the sea side and the property's beautifully groomed front side entrance.
2) In the morning we were greeted nicely by the lovely Francesco, the hotel owner, who told us that he will do everything to make us feel at home, and so he did (for example - shattered phone screen which was fixed within one hour with discount, PCR test that was done in 15 minutes, answer to my email within few hours, and a discount, nice recommendations and tips etc... and overall great smile, positive energy and sharp mind). We have received top notch service the whole 4 night stay... Originally planned to do 3, but we decided to have one extra.
3) For Pompeii and Sorrento, the hotel location was perfect, smack in the middle between them, and 40 minute drive from Positano. Parking available in the hotel (extra cost), however there is plenty of parking on the street outside.. Francesco was kind to treat us with free parking on our last night.
4) The facilities, property and rooms are super clean, great smell all around. We had comfy beds and a big balcony, even a bathtub in the bathroom, good AC. Hotel has a cute pool area with sun beds, green grass and cocktails delivered by dear Vincenzo. Computer station for any need, restaurant, a basic yet fresh and decent breakfast.
Grazie Mille!

We stayed here for our wedding anniversary and we can't say enough about our wonderful experience at this hotel! From the moment we arrived, all the staff treated us like family—so warm, welcoming, and incredibly accommodating. It’s rare to find a place where every single person makes you feel truly at home, but that’s exactly what we experienced here.
Our room was cleaned daily to a standard you rarely see—it was spotless! This attention to detail really added to our comfort during the stay. The entire hotel was held to the same exceptional standard of cleanliness.
A special mention must go to Francesco, the owner, who is an absolute gentleman. It's clear that he takes immense pride in both his hotel and his staff, and it really shows. His personal touch made our stay extra special, and we were genuinely touched by his kindness and attention to detail.
The hotel offers a shuttle service to local amenities for a small fee, which was a huge relief given the high cost of taxis in Italy. This service was incredibly convenient for us! Each day, we were dropped off and picked up from the train station, allowing us to see and do more than we expected.
The surrounding area(s) has so much to offer from Naples city , Pompeii, mount. Vesuvius, Sorrento, Capri, Positano,Amalfi and many more stunning places.
Food
We ate at the hotel every night
( 7 nights)and enjoyed every meal . My husband is a plain eater and his taste was accommodated to without hesitation or fuss( uncommon in Italy)
We had breakfast every morning and found ourselves eating probably too much , their warm croissants were delicious along with their mini pancakes.
The hotel even accommodated us with breakfast on days where we needed to leave before their set breakfast times.
Again staff were delightful.
This hotel is a true gem, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone. We hope to revisit in the future and see all their friendly faces again.
Loved every moment of our holiday!

This hotel was a fantastic place to stay. The hotel is run by Francesco and his family, and it's clear that the service industry runs in their blood and soul. I hate to be stereotypical, but I can't imagine a more authentic experience of Italian hospitality than what me and my girlfriend experienced from them.
The hotel is situated more or less in between Naples and Sorrento, travel to either is easy and cheap by train. Distance to the town is easily walkable, and you get used to walking uphill after a few days.
The hotel has plenty of amenities available. Daily cleaning, air-conditioning, comfortable beds, an outside swimming pool; and a restaurant that serves breakfast and dinner. I enjoyed the breakfasts, personally, although I think the coffee machine could serve much more potent coffee. That didn't detract from the experience, though. I'd definitely come back here in the future, and hopefully you guys will have earned your fifth star by then!
