Stanton is a posh little town with virtually no commercial activity, apparently inhabited by weekenders, or the retired. Nothing moves. Its a beautiful museum. If you want to indulge in fantasies of centuries past, this is the place. We had a warm, but unintrusive welcome. Its a beautiful, old house and the coal fire in the common room was charming....

I've just returned from my third stay at The Vine in the stunning Cotswold village of Stanton. As usual it was a wonderful stay with all the charm and friendliness of staying with family. I stayed for two nights with friends in room 3, which has the four poster bed. The Vine is a beautiful property but a bit quirky...

I arrived late in the afternoon and in the rain, after walking from Chipping Campden on the Cotswold Way. I was welcomed inside the beautiful home, by Sarah Jane (I think that was her name). After a quick tour of the home I was told to make myself at home. As I was getting myself organized and making a cup...

Those expecting to stay at the Marriott will be disappointed but if you're looking for a warm and welcoming stay in a beautiful traditional house, you're in the right place. Few modern conveniences (2-tap bathtub only in our room) but a great deal of quiet comfort were just what we were looking for. Breakfast was delicious. I especially liked the...

So first, this is a lovely traditional house that within he limitations of planning regs I am sure, has made the most of the rooms and the space to convert so that guests can stay, so don't expect straight lines Holiday Inn Express. Each room unique, shower and sink in the corner with the room we had, toilet shared outside...

We stayed at The Vine, for one night in a twin room. The room, while absolutely lovely, was very small, with little to no floor space for our 2 pieces of luggage. The room had tea & coffee supplies, small shower, even smaller sink, with toilet across the hall. This may be a case of trying to squeeze in too...

We stayed at the Vine at the end of day one of our walk on the Cotswold Way. The Vine was easy to find. There was no one there to great us but clear instructions and our bags were waiting in reception. The Vine is full of old English cottage style charm and the owners have done their best with...

This is a 15th Century property with bags of character .We wanted an en suite and thus we were sent to the attic ( smile) which was nicely eccentric and unforgettable. We enjoyed it even though it has a bath rather than a shower. The breakfast here was one of the best we have had in many years of using b and...

We have just returned from a long weekend staying at the Vine. We loved the village and the atmosphere of the Vine and is everything that has been said atmospheric, Oldy worldly, unusual, old fashioned but be aware the stairs to the first floor are steep, we needed to help our old dog up the stairs so you need be...

Hurry here before it changes! It is not to everyone's taste but we loved it. We had the attic room with the ensuite bathroom. You walk through the bathroom to get to the bedroom, which has rather restricted head height. So the room layout is unusual. It is also unusual that you let yourself in and we didn't see anyone...
