Again a great experience. It was not our first time (perhaps 5th or so) and we enjoyed ourselves tremendously. Great base in Tuscany to reach many different towns and driving around is very easy. Outstanding service, staff is fantastic, Tuscan style rooms are very comfortable. La Taverna restaurant is amazing and makes you feel at home; will try the Michelin... More

Wow, it's was amazing stay, a lovely place in a middle of a Tuscany trip. An amazing view for a short walking trip in the morning after a great breakfest. The rooms are nice, a solid sleep experience, with nice traditional decorations. What's is the best in this hotel is the great restaurants he has to offer. We went to... More

This farm is situated on a hill with a sweeping view of vineyards and the old city rising up on a cliff. Our room was large, very comfortable with a private terrace. Well worth the extra. The bathroom was modern and spacious. We booked in for breakfast and dinner. The slow food philosophy is a belief system adhered to...delicious. We... More

Stayed here for 2 nights for a short break in the area. Lovely grand house, nice small rooms with comfortable beds, nice clean bathrooms. Must mention there is no lift, but help is available with your luggage. Breakfast is limited to scrambled eggs, bacon that has been sitting for a while and cheese, meats. The usual croissants and pastries, cakes,... More

We stayed here for 2 nights in June 2016 while on a family vacation in Italy. The first night, my husband, twin 13 year old daughters and I ate dinner in the hotel's restaurant, La Taverna Del Patriarca. Very rustic and traditional. Pastas and meats were delicious and portions were large. We had two rooms across the hall from each... More

I was here with a group of friends and family for a wedding at Poggio Piglia down the road. We decided to make a break of it and stayed for 4 nights. This is a lovely hotel, not very busy when we were there in early May. I picked it as we had stayed in Rome for a couple nights and were to pick up a house rental in Tuscany a couple days later. I chose Chiusi as it has a good rail connection from Rome and also has a Hertz car... More

Apparently a favoured haunt of Federico Fellini and his wife. It really is a lovely place and very nicely furbished. The staff are lovely and do their very best to accommodate your every need. There is a bag of pasta in your room, made by the family who own the place. We had cocktails by the roaring fire and they... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
... more   less
