This is a Colletts walking holiday accommodation. The staff are young and enthusiastic. The meals are good. The rooms are all different but very comfortable, although the feather duvet and pillows take some getting used to. There is a very nice sauna in the basement. The staff also double up as unofficial guides with at least three walks each day... More

What a great catered chalet. The staff here were absolutely first rate, and all great people to share your holiday with. Angelo has a lovely bar/lounge/dining area which is really conducive to meeting other guests and makes for excellent evenings. The real stand out was the food which was consistently very good, especially considering it was for 30 odd people.... More

My wife and I just had an excellent week at Chalet Angelo. Location: The chalet is 3-4 minutes walk from the Arlara Chair which takes you up onto the Pralongia plateau where there are seemingly endless cruisy blues – ideal intermediate skiing. Or you can ski down into Corvara to join the Sella Ronda and ski further afield. Rooms –... More

I stayed at the Pension Angelo over the first week of the winter season - although there was no natural snow, the locals are very good at making snow, so most on the down-hill pistes were open, and there were some tracks at the (small) cross country area at Armentarola. I skied there on 3 days - its easy to... More

While the location was lovely, our room was located beneath the area were all meals and social activities were held. As a result we could hear every noise, from the first stirrings in the morning till when the last person went to bed in the evening. Also, there were issues with the toilet / drainage in our room that caused... More

Having read two previous poor reviews from single travellers I was slightly concerned I'd made the wrong choice in plumping for Pension Angelo and Colletts Mountain Holidays. However, I had the best time and thoroughly enjoyed myself - it really couldn't have been better. I met so many lovely people, singles and couples and, frankly, it didn't matter a jot... More

Just had a great late September stay at Chalet Angelo - glorious sunshine for a couple of days, then the excitement of a big snowfall. End of the season which meant everything was lovely and quiet, but there were still enough mountain restaurants and lifts operating to make life easy. I like the flexibility of Colletts - there is sociability... More

From the point of arrival to the point of departure my son and I were made to feel very, very welcome. The pension is ideally situated up, out of the town by a short 10-15 minute steep walk that it must be said appeared much steeper after a pizza and a few beers. Steepness - you are in the mountains... More

Ok, it's on the top of a steep hill that stretches the lungs & legs but boy is it worth it! Where to start, food great & plentiful, they catered for us carnivores, vegetarians & a piscatarian whilst I was there without any trouble. Table wine more than drinkable & bar well stocked. All areas clean & well maintained, with... More

June 2015 Luckily I read the 1* review from TA reviewer just before leaving for Italy. THANK YOU AS HAD I NOT DONE I WOULD HAVE BEEN IN THE SAME CUPBOARD! Colletts replied "The single rooms in Chalet Angelo are small and the one that was available at the time of your booking is probably the one mentioned..." As there... More
