We were only at Hotel Piccolo for one night but enjoyed our stay immensely. Our spacious room had a balustraded balcony overlooking the sea with table and chairs, a super 'wet room' bathroom, and a lovely wide bed. Unfortunately, the air conditioning wasn't working (and it was very hot), but that was the only issue. We enjoyed a very good meal (local fish) in the very pleasant dining room. Staff were friendly and helpful and spoke some English. Would recommend.

Great hotel with friendly, welcoming staff. Large modern rooms with fantastic views across the bay. It also has a rooftop sun lounge and lovely swimming pool on the second floor. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend this hotel and resort to anyone.

Stayed for six nights on an escorted tour (GN Tours) . Excellent food every night and great service in the restaurant and Bar. The hotel was very clean and staff excellent in this family run Hotel. The room was a little small but adequate with a balcony with a splendid sea view. The hotel is situated on a fairly busy road so there is some road noise. The 5.00am bin collections are a little annoying for light sleepers. The path to the beach is very steep so not suitable for people with mobility problems. That said we really enjoyed our stay.

A clean and very good value hotel it is close to the towns amenities, and enjoys a great view of the Diano Marina bay. We enjoyed a weeks stay here the food was good with a few unusual twists but perfectly acceptable. Would definitely stay here again when next in the area.

The lovely people who run this hotel really care about their guests. After a one-week stay we felt like we were part of their extended family and were sorry to leave. As the building is slightly elevated from the town, the views from the balconies on the sea-side are stunning, with wonderful sunrises. The bed was comfortable (though pillows were harder than we like) and the walk-in shower room was spacious and well equipped. Cleanliness was excellent. TV had two BBC channels. Food was very good. The hotel is perfectly placed for visiting the surrounding Ligurian coast and countryside by train, bus or car.. Do not miss a 15 Euro taxi ride to nearby Cervo, a beautifully preserved ancient village which can be seen from the hotel. And the town of Diano Marina is a gem, with excellent shops for local residents in addition to the usual tourist fare. Walking is easy and there are plentiful routes, including a long promenade. The hotel has a pool and pretty surrounding patio, plus a roof terrace. But it is worth a five minute walk to use the beach facilities which are reasonably priced and often linked to pretty blocks of changing cabins and restaurants. We were based at the hotel on a specialist organised tour, which featured many interesting excursions plus a day at the Historic Grand Prix in Monaco. We travelled with UK-based GN Holidays, led by our amazing guide, Andrew, who was a walking encyclopaedia! One day we hope to return to this coastline and would certainly make the Piccolo our base again.

This was a beautiful, family run hotel. The staff were very friendly & went out of their way to help, lovely people. The hotel was immaculately clean, room small, but very adequate, with a safe and large fridge and a big TV which pleased my 7 year old daughter. Gorgeous sea views, just a short walk to the beach and into town. The food was excellent. We will definitely be back. We went on a coach trip with National Holidays and the drivers were lovely as always!

Hotel very clean. Room was smallish but big enough for two and kept very clean, towels changed each day and plenty shower gel and soap if required. Views stunning. Meals with a good choice for each course and well cooked, good variety, and really enjoyable. Staff extremely pleasant.

We have just returned from a week staying at the Hotel Picclo Diano Marina. Small friendly hotel great staff, the rooms are large and spacious, spotlessly clean. Breakfast was the usual continental buffet, but evening meal was very good. There was a choice of four starters and four main courses, enough to suit most tastes. The hotel is just a five minute walk to the beach and shopping centre. I would recommend it to anyone.

What a superb family run hotel! We had a fantastic Christmas and New holiday and can't praise this hotel enough, lovely staff and excellent food. Only thing lacking was tea and coffee in the rooms. Beautiful area with plenty of places to walk and shop too.

Just returned from Christmas and New Year at this Hotel, had a wonderful time. The staff are so polite and very friendly. The rooms are very comfy and spotlessly clean. The food was outstanding and the buffet breakfast was plenty to set you up for the day! If there was any bad points it was the fact it is up steps with no ramp, so very awkward to get your cases up into the Hotel. Really not suitable for anyone with a walking problem as the way up from the beach is very steep. Though the taxi’s were very cheap to use. Als a auper bus service to visit local places.
