We stayed here three nights and enjoyed it immensely. The hostess, Mela, was gracious and welcoming. The room was relatively large, the bathroom too. Everything was spotlessly clean, breakfast was generous (we even had crêpes one morning), and the bed comfortable. The B&B has a charming little courtyard, which unfortunately we never had time to use. The old house has...

Dolcemela bills itself as a 'B&B', and technically that is what it is. But this is a B& B par excellence.Everything about Dolcemela is designed for comfort and ease. The bedrooms are of exceptional quality as are the en suite bathrooms. For those wanting to sit al fresco there is a delightful courtyard with fountain. The breakfast should carry a...

La Dolcemela is a real gem. The people there could not be any friendlier or more helpful. The room was delightful and the breakfast must rate as one of the best that we have had in in any hotel. The home made cakes, in particular, were delightful.

We spent two nights at this welcoming and friendly B&B. The rooms were a good size, spotlessly clean and with good air conditioning. In a good position to walk to all the sites. Breakfast was plentiful with fruit, ham, eggs, cheese, yoghurt breads and delicious home made cakes. These cakes were also provided in the afternoon. The staff were very...

Easy located hotel via stat nav. Street is narrow and car parking is just nearby and is private costing 10 euros per day. The Hotel is really a very nice place to stay and centrally located. Ferrara is an easy city to walk or cycle around. The hotel has a selection of bikes you can borrow in a room next...

Thanks for your nice words about my B&B and about Ferrara. Our guests' opinions always help us to improve our services. More than a "typical Italian breakfast", what we serve should be considered an International breakfast since you can find both sweet and savory (as eggs, sandwiches, cold cuts, different kinds of cheese, cereals,…) Thanks for your kindness, it'll always...

We enjoyed the excellent breakfast in the garden each morning. The garden is between the 2 main buildings and has a cisterna fountain that enhances the pleasant atmosphere. At 4:30 Mela bakes pasteries each morning. Excellent, immaculately clean accommodations and kind accommodating people make Dolecmela very special. Stayed 3 days and did not want to leave. Thank you Mela and...

Beautifully designed and set up. Very professional and helpful at every stage. The rooms are well furnished, clean and very quiet. Breakfast provided was very good. Wifi worked perfectly. Nearby (paid) parking is available - invaluable in Ferrara. Well located for visiting all the sites. Plenty of restaurants to choose from. Consider buying a MyFE card (€10 for 2 days)....

In a perfect location on a quiet street in the historic center of Ferrara, Dolcemela is a favorite. The building was restored in a thoughtful way with high standards not typical of a hotel of this size. A lovely asset is a private peaceful patio garden centered around a beautiful fountain where you can read a book or enjoy a...

Just stayed 2 nights at the Dolce Mela and what a wonderful B&B. Super clean, super friendly service, totally attentive to your needs!! The location is also very nice as it is quiet and yet very close to the center. There is also a small garage if you come by car. No negative points whatsoever!

Dolcemela is a quiet, classy little B&B in the heart of old Ferrara. The rooms are clean and tasteful, the breakfasts are excellent, and the staff is kind and helpful. They provided clothes washing facilities, a garage for the car, and bicycles to ride around this bike-friendly walled town. It was a joy to find this wonderful little secret!
