My husband and I spent a relaxing weekend at the Silva Hotel Splendid in March. Hotel check-in staff were courteous, and check in was easy. The elevators up to the the rooms are small and slow; after getting our luggage up to our room on the 4th floor, we just walked the stairs the rest of our stay. Our room was comfortable and spacious. There is a mini-fridge but no hot kettle or coffee maker in the room. Breakfast was included in our room charge, and offered a good selection of hot and cold items, coffee and fruit. Robe, towel, shower shoes and cap are provided for each guest in the room, but you are requested to use them for the entire stay. Really wished you could get a clean, dry towel with each trip to the spa (the robe I didn't mind using the entire time.). The spa staff was helpful, and our massages that we scheduled were really relaxing and reasonably priced. The one issue I had with the thermal pools and facilities was the temperature of the waters. The sauna and thermal pool on the bottom floor were tepid at best; the facilities on the second level were a little warmer, and the outdoor thermal pool was not warm at all. The pools and facilities are clean and a little confusing to find, but other than that, we enjoyed our stay and had a relaxing time at the spa. The little town is charming and full of cafes and stores that you can walk to from the hotel. Silva Hotel Splendid was a nice place to relax at a reasonable price.

The SPA is truly fabulous with many swimming pools and various hydromassage stations, several saunas, Turkish baths and various other paths. Maybe the water outside is a little cold and the hydromassage doesn't always work. Perhaps we could think of an easier and heated route to the thousand bubbles pool. The staff is very kind and always ready to satisfy every customer request. Elegant, relaxing restaurant and amazing breakfast. The snack offered is also good. Well-kept environments with various fireplaces lit in the common rooms and in the SPA heated beds for relaxing. The only flaw is the bathroom in the room; in addition to being a little neglected, I took a cold shower for the entire duration of my stay. After the second intervention by the staff, there was no more cold water and the toilet stopped. Not to mention they left the ceiling panel open. Superb stay in this recently renovated structure with gourmet restaurant in the center of Fiuggi. Equipped with parking with staff to move the cars (there is a lot of traffic and you have to "get them stuck"). Large and bright rooms. Friendly staff. Excellent continental breakfast. Spa consisting of several pools, including outdoor ones, showers, Kneipp path, saunas and Turkish bath, possibility of massages and separate personalized paths. A snack (yoghurt and muffins) included in the route is served from 4pm to 6pm. A bathrobe-towel-slippers kit is available, but you need to get a cap or buy one at the facility. A small city with thermal water, even Michelangelo came here to heal his kidney stones. Hotel itself has very nice quiet rooms with a balcony and a nice view. Excellent spa situated in several levels, heated outdoor pool, saunas, inner hot pool, relax zones. The food was excellent, we had a gala dinner with a live band playing, several courses and a very professional and caring waiter. Italian coffee and large offer of pastry for breakfast (and lots more) was great. I will certainly come back.

I have stayed at this hotel several times and I must say that it is always a pleasure. Excellent location, excellent wellness center services. Very well maintained spa. Qualified personnel. My room, 230, has a slightly dated bathroom and I recommend replacing the accessories and cleaning the shower cubicle more thoroughly. Unfortunately, the restaurant has high prices and dishes that are not up to par both in terms of products and execution.

Every now and then we take a little holiday and go to relax at Silva. The hotel is very elegant and valuable, functional rooms but put a hairdryer that works and dries your hair, the ones supplied are impossible to use. Very slow check-in (as always) impossible to queue for 27 minutes to get the room keys and release the documents, (they only issue one card when at our request to have 2 we were told sorry we don't have any...) Towels and bathrobes should be replaced, it is unacceptable to have a bathrobe with holes and a bad smell. Despite being large, the spa is always full, admissions should be limited to make your stay more pleasant. The real problem of this hotel is the parking, it is unacceptable not to be able to take the car in the evening/night because it is closed by other cars (to take our car they had to move 8 cars but are you kidding me?!?!?), you have to have a 24 hour valet 7 days a week you take the keys to each car and are responsible for moving cars at the customer's request. Total absence of columns for charging electric cars. Excellent snack, breakfast and dinner. It's shameful to go around the snack tables and ask customers to dine with them at the restaurant, but are you a 4 star or a stall?!?
