Second review... In the first one I declared that I would definitely return, and indeed here I am again, at the Airone Hotel. This time alone. I can confirm the great location, and the ease of parking. I tried the restaurant at the Heron: not bad (although it could improve), good value for money, combined with the fact that I simply have to get out of the room and take the elevator, and I'm in the lounge. The room is great: clean, modern, spacious. The excellent spa: I took advantage of the massage service, professional and at a fair price. The only downside to the reception... If we still want to call it that... I had anticipated that I would arrive in the morning, but that I just wanted to leave my bags and that I would return in the afternoon: the positive response to my request was timely, but when they saw me arrive in the morning they were upset to say the least... Do they read the emails they write? Back in the afternoon, the two ladies at the reception were anything but welcoming... Very friendly reception staff. That said, everything else is up to a 2-3 star rating. Clean but decidedly old rooms, peripheral location (15 minutes walk from the historic center of Grosseto), poor quality breakfast food. Breakfast ends at 10 o'clock and the doors literally close. Staff at breakfast very very rude, cutlery not available and table service very slow, not to say bad. The point definitely to improve is the courtesy of the staff serving breakfast. Education comes first, fortunately at reception they were very accommodating and courteous. It has prices from 4-5 stars, on par with other much more beautiful and new and central facilities. Would not stay again and would not recommend.

Excellent experience in this beautiful hotel, located in the immediate vicinity of the historic center of Grosseto. My room was very nice and comfortable. The ladies at the reception are very kind, as is the young lady who provides service in the small spa, which is also very nice and relaxing with sauna, Turkish bath and hydromassage pool. Friendly and helpful staff.. but the flaw was the room, dirty (we found food residues on the ground as soon as we arrived so the floor was definitely not cleaned) not to mention the terrace... full of bird droppings and endless dust … you can all hear the noises! I don't care if the structure is a bit old.. but at least it's clean! It seems like the minimum to me considering that a customer pays anyway... especially in a 4 star hotel!!! That's not good! The only positive note was the welcome at the reception! Good and polite... for the overnight stay and cleaning of the room; very negative rating!

Very well located hotel, clean and well maintained. The aircon did not cool sufficiently in the hot weather, and I had to request lower temperatures at the desk. Room was well maintained, and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. The one meal we had at the hotel was excellent. Very courteous and helpful front desk. Parking at the hotel was easy.

If this were a 2-star hotel I would have nothing to say... but it has nothing of a 4-star hotel... the staff are listless and not very present, the room is shabby, with a miserable bottle of soap in the bathroom, without terrycloth slippers. Breakfast average but not like a 4 star hotel. I wouldn't go back.
