We had a fantastic room with an amazing balcony, this meant we could enjoy the afternoon sunshine and not have to go far. The room was simple and comfortable but had everything we needed. The staff were very helpful and friendly and always had a smile to greet us. The location was excellent for us as it was only a...

we stayed four days here and never got a smile from any staff. the shower ran out of hot water, the breakfasts were tired - except for a decent coffee machine - and we couldn't get the AC or TV to work until we realized that the remotes were at reception. the common area seemed to have old-world charm at...

This is a beautiful, quirky, clean, well equipped hotel, very conveniently located up a side street near the marina and the town centre, which makes much of being in the same family for generations since its old farmstead days. The bedroom was plain and simple, clean, good air conditioning, good storage, and whilst others have complained about the shower being...

The rooms are too little to be a 3 stars hotel, the bathroom is problematic, the bathroom has plumbing problems so you must put the toilet paper in a basket (sometime you cannot get rid of your poo then you have to flush several times) the shower has no doors and floods everything (room included), the valve is so big...

We shall start off with the room. While the room was clean and had a ceiling fan, the bed which was meant to be a double bed consisted of two mattresses put together and there were mosquitoes flying around the room in the evening so I had to swat a couple of them, I was also bitten by the little...

This feels like an island hotel, but is now very dated. Nothing has been touched for 30 years. Everyone wants character, but this is falling behind. Congrats to the chambermaid, she was brilliant and kept the room spotless. The shower was a problem. The mechanism is at shoulder height with a lever you pull out to set temperature. Every time...

Villa Augustus lies just a few minutes walk from the ferry terminal in Lipari and just a few minutes walk from the centre of town. It is a spacious residence with a large lounge, and dining room. The rooms are a decent size and well maintained. Villa Augustus also has a slightly eccentric feel to it which enjoyably adds to...

My boyfriend and I stayed in a small room with a shower basically on the toilet. The room had a fan and airconditioning and was overlooking a pretty terrace. All around it is was quite clean and ok to sleep there for 2 nights. Helpful staff.

This was our second time at Villa Augustus. We love its location, less than 5 minute walk from alighting the ferry at the wharf. It is also near buses and taxis. Rooms are not overly big but are clean and have all that you need. The room we stayed in opened onto a little balcony that overlooked a garden. The...

I've stayed at this hotel in June for about 8 days. It was very quiet so I had a very good sleep there. Breakfast was great, buffet style, it included capers on a day-to-day basis, among other things. The common area including the breakfast area was very cozy and comfortable. This was needed even more since wi-fi did not work...
