After a long hot day travelling from West Wales, I was hoping one night’s stay somewhere of good quality in, peaceful relaxing surroundings. I stayed one night at the Auberge near Yaxely. I couldn’t have made a better choice. The accommodation is attached to the Bull Pub just off the main road to Yaxely. Don’t be put off as traffic...

We have stayed for four nights in this wonderful place. Both the food and the accommodation cannot be faulted, we have been looked after as well, if not better than anywhere we have visited. The Auberge has a 5 star rating and it is fully deserved. If you want a place to eat, a place to stay or both then...

We were attending our nieces wedding and so booked this hotel as it was reasonably close to the venue. We were not disappointed! It is a family run business with 2 generations of family members. Everyone was friendly. Our room was on the ground floor and was spacious and well presented with a super en-suite shower room. It also had...

Came down to Suffolk to visit my elderly Uncle and chose to stay at the Auberge. We booked the disabled room as my partner is registered blind and has a guide dog. Due to other health issues he also needed the extra space the room offered. I telephoned the hotel and confirmed that they would accept the booking and be...

Just up the road from us but not visited as often as perhaps we should partly because there are now many quality eating establishments within a fairly short drive. We visited with some friends who are more regular customers here than us and we had a great evening. I was surprised to find the restaurant almost full at our 7.00...

Everything has been thought of in building these relatively new bedrooms. Good space in the room and the bathroom, very clean, lovely décor, air conditioning - you couldn't want more. The restaurant has good food but my wife's risotto was very bland as if some ingredients were missing and the wine list is overpriced.

What a lovely place to stay ! Our room was gorgeous, very comfortable bed. We had a very warm welcome, was given drinks in the garden even though the bar was shut, the whole family treated us lovely, had a gorgeous meal, and the breakfast was special too. Just wish we could have stayed longer !!

Wonderful. Stayed over on recommendation of business associate and was not disappointed. Was warmly welcomed and taken to a delightful room, which was a good size and beautifully decorated. I have to mention the mattress on the bedstead which was incredibly comfortable and not your run of the mill cheap hotel mattress - never slept so well in a hotel....

We arrived at 5.00 pm and were warmly greeted by the owner John who showed us to our four poster room over in the accommodation block - Wow - and showed us how the air conditioning and shower worked. We were very impressed with the first class decor in the room where all the furniture matched and the soft furnishings...
