We stayed here last month for a family ski holiday and had a lovely time. Booking process and was simple and the communication with the hotel was great in advance of our arrival. The check-in process was quick and simple, and our room was very good – clean, comfortable and plenty of space for two adults and 2 kids. Beds were comfy but not luxurious. The food was very good every night – the hotel seems to cater mostly for Italians, rather than tourists from Ireland/UK…..so it was authentic Italian food. We enjoyed this but the kids were not so impressed – I think this is something that could be improved e.g. who serves a kids hamburger without a bun or chips on the side but with polenta instead?!? The hotel is a 5min walk to the Spinale gondola lift. However, there is a driver to give you a lift there and back every day. The taxi service starts at 0830 every morning….but Eddie was good enough to bring us up to the lift at 0800 every morning. Likewise, when you come down off the slopes at the end of the day, all you have to do is give the drivers a quick call and they’ll collect you in a matter of minutes. The hotel has a small pool which you need to book each day as the numbers allowed in at any one time are limited. Booking is not a big deal, and we were always able to get in at the time we wanted. It’s a lovely way to relax after a long day on the piste! All the staff in the hotel are lovely – special shout out to the barman Claudio. He was endless energy and keeps everyone entertained with his comedic antics – I’ve never seen someone play a coffee machine like a musical instrument before . Thanks also to Lucia who took care of us so well in the restaurant! All in all, a lovely stay and we would definitely return again.

Hotel's Favourite
Alma, Claudio and the rest of the crew take excellent care of you in this well equipped, but simple hotel right in the middle of Madonna di Compiglio. Everything can be taken care of by them including regular transportation to the ski hill. The food is excellent (and you can add lunch and dinner to your stay), the hangout area is great and they change it up nightly. The rooms are fine and have the basics of what you need. There is also a wellness center and fine, pretty little pool. It's value greatly exceeds its price.

We care a lot about quality of sleep and this hotel delivers on that. The mattresses are very good, and so are the pillows. The room is kept warm at a pleasant temperature. The environment was Very quiet when we were there (no DJs / bars / yells) and everything was calm. Water pressure in shower is great and there is plenty warm water. Apart from this: room was clean, service efficient, pool large enough and kept at very good temperature (on the warm side), and very good location. One small downside was the strong blinking sensor (green/red light) which was very noticeable at night, but perhaps can't be avoided. We will return if possible

Well located hotel with easy access to ski lifts. The bus driver is very nice! Every day he waited for us to pick us up to ski lifts and back to the hotel. Clean and confortable room. Wellness area could be refreshed. They should reconsider the bread vendor. The brekfast bread was poor. I do not mean it was unfresh but not good in my opinion. In general brekfast was aceptable. If I consider to spend a week for sking in Madaonna next time this hotel will be on my list.

So we went in the end of the sky season. I was really surprised about its features. It has a sky room as every sky hotel should have and a beautiful spa with 2 kinds of saunas and a room where you can leave your bath coat and relax reading a book or anything else. The rooms are pretty big and have balcony most of them. The staff is very kind and there was this waiter, i think his name was CLAUDIO, he was THE MOST funny and entertaining waiter, literally we were 3 rooms at a single table and EACH one of us loved him. He deserves a rise. There was also a shuttle bus that could take you to the base of the slopes or anywhere you wanted in a 10 mile radius. I TOTALLY RECOMMEND!!

Bonapace hotel is a comfortable and friendly hotel in the centre of Madonna di Campiglio ski resort in Italy. It is close to the Spinale ski lift though a shuttle service run by the hotel takes you to the Spinale and 5 Lunghi lifts. The hotel has clean and comfortable rooms though some bathrooms need some updating. There is a bar with daily entertainment run by the singing barman Claudio along with other social and seating areas plus a table tennis room. The pool is warm and spacious with an integral jacuzzi and there is a wellness centre, great following a day skiing. All staff are lovely and friendly too. The only downside is the food which is dreadful. Apparently the chef has changed recently and the food produced is unappetising and poorly presented and in some instances poorly cooked. I'm not a fussy eater and eat most things presented to me but many a dish was left uneaten. Get the food right and the hotel could be fantastic.

Response from Fabrizio S, Direttore at Hotel Bonapace
Responded 22 Feb 2019
Dear Customer we are very happy that he liked the location of the hotel, the shuttle service and the cleanliness of our rooms. At the bar our barman is always ready to entertain our guests and entertain them. As you also the other customers really appreciate the spa with pool. Our employees then are always ready to take care of the guests to make them feel pampered. We're sorry that he's been puzzlement about food. I also understand that the tastes are personal as well as the culinary habits that depend on where you were born and lived. The chefs have been the same for 15 years and with them lately we have expanded the choice of dishes introducing a strong regional connotation to the menu. This led us to greatly improve the comments on the kitchen already from the beginning of the season. The raw materials chosen are always excellent because it is important to give a high level service in a homogeneous way to all the areas of the hotel. Certainly his suggestion was also taken into account because we are always open to improvement. We would be delighted to have our guest back on a next occasion. Kind regards. Arrigo (the director)

One year has gone so quickly and we came back for couple of days on skis. The hotel was in the same condition as year before. Friendly staff, small room with comfortable bed, excellent breakfast and average dinner. We enjoyed indoor swimming pool with hydrojets, as well as steam bath and sauna. The driver Petru brought us with private shuttle bus every morning to the Monte Spinale or 5 Laghi cable car and waited for us in the afternoon. Free wi fi through the hotel, free parking just in front of the hotel, helpful waitress Monika and entertaining waiter Claudio - really nice experience. I hope we will be back the next year again.

Good 3-star hotel in Madonna di Campiglio just behind the main pedestrian street, it has private parking. In the evening there is also the mini club where the children of my friends have fun and for adults there is entertainment or live music. Claudio the barman is the real star of the hotel, in the evening he entertains you with shows or sketches. Breakfast is great there is both sweet and savory. On the cleanliness of the rooms and the dinner you could do much better. The spa on the first floor is beautiful.

We had two nights in the hotel. Easy to find in MdC and easy parking. The walk up to the centre of town was about 15 mins through a lovely park. The resort was quiet but the hotel was busy enough, although our room was pretty quiet. The room was basic but comfortable. We used the pool and hot tub - also good, and I sat in the nice garden on both evenings which was fine. We only had breakfast (didn't realise you had to sit where your room number was on the table and got reprimanded by the server - whoops!) but had drinks on both nights afterwards in the bar, and the barman was...er....entertaining! He certainly made us laugh (well at least at the beginning - got a bit tiresome after the tenth karaoke song). Overall not the Ritz but good value for money.

We spent there 5 nights as a two couples for ski holidays shortly before Christmas 2017. In this time there were practically no people,in hotel and on the slopes too, which was fantastic. The hotel itself is small older one, but very good maintained, with nice service. Especially the hotel mini shuttle which brought us every day to the nearby cabel car Spinale (about 300m) was nice surprise. Rooms are clean, comfortable, with flat TV, spacious en suite bathroom with lot of toilletries. Good sleeping quality. Indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam bath, all was small, but with no guests we had it every day for ourselves only. Small ski room, can´t imagine how to put the ski and boots there if the hotel capacity is full.....Very nice breakfast with good choice of cheese, bacon, eggs, muesli, yoghurt etc. Food for dinner was very tasty, four courses, starter and the first course almost better then the second. The service in the restaurant was very good and went smoothly. All in all it was very nice stay and we hope we will be back next year again!
