Travellers' Choice
At home in an Umbrian palace, this is the atmosphere that you live in this XVI-century building of charm that has reopened after an accurate restoration. Fusion between design and tradition, simplicity and quality is the secret of this new hotel.

Beautiful small boutique hotel in Norcia. Located in the historic building and owned by generations of Bianconi family, its a little gem between the mountains. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Great breakfast with good variety of food.

We experienced this excellent location last weekend and we found it absolutely superb. The building enchants the guest whit its elegance and old-time charm, every detail is designed to offer you comfort and smells of history and local traditions. Ancient furniture, a precious piano at the entrance, valuable materials. But Palazzo Seneca is more than architecture and design, its staff welcomes the guest paying attention to every request, the reception can offer you a wide range of local activities from sport to culture, from art to nature and the owner, Mrs. Anna, takes you back in the past of her family and her territory. Palazzo Seneca is even more than this…it is local delicacies one can have for breakfast or taste in the Michelin restaurant, it is adventure, the adventure to discover the green heart of Italy, it is relax, with the beautiful spa, it is environmental respect and it complies with national anti-covid measures. A real taste of Italy at 360 degrees.

I thoroughly enjoyed my 2-night stay in this historic palazzo. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and I even had the opportunity to meet the lovely family matriarch as I was checking out. My junior suite was well appointed and comfortable. I liked the wood and leather design elements. The marble bathroom and dressing area were well designed. The public rooms on the ground floor include a lovely library and sitting areas. If not for Covid mask requirements, I would have loved to to have spent time in them. They look comfortable and inviting. While a number of buildings in Norcia did sustain considerable damage during the 2016 earthquake, I was told that the hotel did not sustain damage, most certainly because of its recent (2008) refurbishment. The hotel's restaurant, Vespasia, was very good. There is an indoor dining room and an outdoor terrace. The truffle hunting experience with the dogs was a real highlight (thanks to Nicola, Tiziano, Lulu and Tempestina), and I would highly recommend this unique local experience.

The hotel has different restaurants, and the level goes from amazing to a bad experience. Granaro del Monte: We booker this restsurant and the hunter truffel menu through the hotel. In the two weeks we have been on Italy this was the worst restaurant. The staff didnt know we were coming and dermed confused which menu was booked. The portions were big, but the quality of the food was not good. We skipped the dessert and left the restaurant. We were sorry thst we didnt check up on this restaurant before booking via the hotel. Vespasia was an amazing experience. The service and the food was impressive. I will recommend this restaurant highly. The hotel is an old and beautifully restored building with great views of the surroundings. Our room number 200 was spacious. I will recommend the hotel to everyone staying in the area.

What a lovely hotel. Everything was great, the room, the staff, the restaurant (especially the restaurant). It was a little expensive, but worth every euro. If you drive there, don’t be afraid to go inside the gates, you need to to get there. We arrived during a rain storm and they parked our car for us. It was in a blue lined space which was free. I’m pretty sure they didn’t charge us anything for the parking. Our room had access to a terrace out back with a great view.
