Renovated structure and new and spacious rooms. Location practically on the beach, but far from the nightlife or bustle of downtown, depends on the views. Breakfast varied and plentiful at the bar of the lido, so just go down and turn the corner, comfortable and charming. Back to the room: new, comfortable, clean, with a nice spacious and equipped balcony (we were not lucky enough to find that sea view, but there are several). The only flaw, but now it's so fashionable, missing a real wardrobe and drawers, so everything in sight... Finally, very useful dispenser with fresh water in the hallway! Stiamo stati davvero bene!

The hotel has been recently renovated and is very functional and pleasant in decor. The hotel is located on the beach of Giannella and you can take advantage of deck chairs and umbrellas. There is a beach bar, for a quick lunch, but above all there is an excellent restaurant, the Oste Dispensa, with nice terrace on the beach. There is also a tobacco bar and even a private car park nearby. The room is simple but functional and elegant.

My partner and I explored Tuscany moving around the the Hotel Villa Ambra provided a cheap, yet extremely comfortable hotel for a nights stay.
The room was a really good size, as was the bathroom. The staff were very friendly and helpful, it is what it is, a hotel with bar/cafe/newsagents attached to it. In season there may be a restaurant as well, but we don't know as we were out of season.
The only negative is that the road this hotel is on seems to have only 2 restaurants, so you will have to drive to find somewhere to eat. If you do, I recommend driving to Porto Santo Stefano, were the thriving port has a range of options and is also a lovely place to spend an evening. It is not possible to walk to the nearest towns as there is no space on the main roads for pavement or safe pedestrian walking, we attempted it, but aborted our journey as we didn't feel safe.
Breakfast was really nice. Parking was easy, either alongside the road or in a dedicated parking area 30m walk away.
Being March we didn't really explore the beach, but a visual inspection shows it to be a very nice beach, the hotel is right on it and sea view rooms have a lovely panorama, especially after sunset.

A real surprise for us. A large, clean and quiet room. With a large panoramic terrace overlooking the beach and the sea in front of Porto Santo Stefano. Breakfast was normal, but nothing was missing. Convenient beach service with umbrellas not too close together. The little bar is free-range, but the food is good. The restaurant connected to the half board is exceptional, a true pearl of the coast, always full, high level quality and courtesy. Very pleasant and relaxing experience. To try.

A negative experience, a 33cl can of water €1.50, never to be tried again. But has the 0.50 cl plastic bottle been banned since 2015? Maria Grazia P. She's absolutely right Goodbye friend

This hotel was a pleasant surprise. It is right on the beach, and the room price includes the use of the beach umbrella and chair. It has a snack bar on the beach side and a full restaurant on the streetside (separate review for that). Most rooms have a/c, they all have private bathroom and TV. No minibar/fridge. No elevator, but the staff will take care of your luggage if needed (there are only twwo floors above the ground floor). The staff is very nice and helpful, they come pick you up for free from the train station if you don't drive there, which for me was a godsend. There is no music on the beach, which is sandy and very long (mostly empty). The view is beautiful, the ocean was calm and extremely clean. A little corner of paradise. And it's not very expensive, either!

We stayed at this hotel for one night. The location is great, right on the beach, they provided beach towels and chairs for free as we were staying in the hotel which was nice. Nobody really spoke any English which made us feel like we were really in the middle of nowhere. This seems to be a place where only locals frequent but we liked that. We went to the hotel restaurant at night, the food was good but it is very expensive. Again language was a problem so you have to be patient and maybe even choose a dish when you are not entirely sure what it is.

Right at the seashore. Good restaurant in the same building WiFi was requiring password several times per hour. Quite poor connection. The shore has very long shoal water. Good for children but not for adults :)

Spacious room with sea view (through big tree outside window). Free parking on road or in off-road car car park a few doors away. No Wi-Fi. Great buffet breakfast. We were disappointed that on both nights we were there, we had to go elsewhere for dinner as the restaurant was closed as booked for a private function. As there were no other restaurants within walking distance, you would need a car to go to Porto Santo Stefano or Orbetello for a meal.
