We booked in this hotel a week's Half Pension and had a great time. Kindness and helpfulness distinguish all the hotel staff, from the guys at the reception to the waiters (especially Ermelinda, cute and very kind), passing through the cleaners. Fantastic food, very rich breakfast and dinner/lunch consisting of buffet of appetizers and side dishes, first, second and dessert. Very good also the restaurant open only for lunch with à la carte menu and accessible to all bathers, as well as pokeria. We stayed at Hotel Mara for four nights whilst we visited my wife’s family. We booked a room with the sea view, which allowed us to watch the spectacular sunrises before falling back to sleep each morning. As it turned out, the room booking did not allow access to the pool or beach, which then cost about 18 euro a day extra. That was pretty different for us as just about every photo of the hotel had the pool included when you booked. This seems to be an Italy thing, so we paid the extra. You also had to wear a swim cap in the pool, which made for some humorous photos. Despite these few negatives, the place was superb, the staff so so friendly and helpful. They spoke enough English for us to get by. The huge positive was the hotel restaurant which was exceptionally good. Great food and great service. We would have eaten there every night had we not had the luxury of eating home made food with the wife’s family on a couple of nights. Thoroughly recommend staying here.

After staying a week at the Hotel Mara I can only be happy to say that I had a wonderful holiday. The property is north of Ortona, in a quiet area just a few minutes drive from the pedestrian cycle path that leads to the most popular beaches of the Trabocchi coast. All meals we had at the restaurant and / or the beach were excellent quality and reasonably priced. We appreciated the kindness and helpfulness of all the staff who never made us miss anything. A special mention to Joseph for his courtesy and sympathy. Should it happen again to pass by these areas, we will definitely return!

I spent a wonderful week in this lovely clean HOTEL beautiful rooms abundant varied food and excellent quality but above all the welcome and kindness, helpfulness of the staff starting from angel blonde Tina responsible beaches to Giovanni a really lovely guy as well as Emilia. Pleasant to entertain at the Bar with the sparkling Loris and the grace of Mateo. Kindness also of the waiters as Paris and the nice Giuseppe.
