The location is perfect. The place is very small but very clean. The rooms are comfortable with most anything you need. The staff are pleasant and the rates were fair for its location. My only issue was when we stayed, there was renovations going on and our room was covered over with staging and burlap, so we had no window...

The hotel itself is okay and fit for purpose, however on a recent stay I received an email saying that some renovation work was ongoing and that there was scaffolding to the front of the building obscuring the view of the Dumo, the email was sent on the cusp of not being able to cancel the booking for losing the...

Booked this hotel in November requesting a room with view of the Duomo. The night before we departed for Italy they emailed me to confirm a dinner reservation, and mention that the facade of the hotel is under construction and our room has no view; the window was actually sealed with plastic. The room itself was okay - plain and...

We are very familiar with hotels in Orvieto and have stayed at several. We booked this one because we knew that it's location is the BEST of any other hotel in Orvieto; right on the piazza, overlooking the Duomo. Orvieto is just amazing in the off season when you can stroll through the enchanting streets without a lot of tourists...

It may be a 3 star hotel but its amenities felt like more. Nothing tiered about this place; modern rooms not big but not cramped either, plenty of hot water in the shower and good selection at breakfast table. Beds confortable. The staff was helpful and friendly. Our only regret was not staying longer as Orvieto has a lot to offer...

We received a generous welcome from the proprietor and shown to a very tidy room that overlooked the piazza that expanded out in front of the very beautiful cathedral. This hotel is a great place to explore this town from. Our room was very pretty and comfortable. The air conditioner was excellent and there was plenty of hot water. Breakfast...

The two best things about Hotel Virgilio are the location, directly facing the duomo, and the staff who went out of their way to be helpful. They organised a taxi to meet me at the station as I was coming in later at night (this was a godsend), they also helped me find somewhere for dinner as it was so...

We had booked a large double room and got one looking out to the Duomo, a breathtaking view. We were later told that the workmen who built the Duomo had actually been accomodated in what later became the Hotel Virgilio. Rooms very clean, receptionist friendly and a very good buffet breakfast, including eggs, ham and salami and different cakes. Only...

Our group of 5 adults stayed at this well appointed Hotel, we were delighted with the atmosphere, cleanness and service. The breakfast selection was among the best I have seen. The inclusion of a toaster is often a welcome sight for those guests craving a piece of toast. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone visiting Orvieto....
