Hotel in an old villa, almost castle like. Rooms and bathrooms are somewhat spartan without any luxury. Breakfast is limited choice and bread can be finished. Location is nice with swimming pool. It all lacks some maintenance.
An easy 1.5 hour drive from Rome, we stayed here for 2 nights on our way to Tuscany. With two young children (1 and 4) the room was nice and big and the pool fantastic. There was ample space for the children to play and...More
The hotel was about 10 mins drive to Orvieto and had ample parking. Located in a residential area. Upon driving up, it looked amazing but don't judge a book by its cover. The rooms need a really good scrubbing. The walls were dirty, the shower...More
This hotel is not location in Orvieto- it's across the train tracks, both physically and metaphorically. Surrounded by strip malls, it's about a 10 min drive to the entrance of Orvieto. One can take the Funicular train up the mountain to Orvieto, but parking at...More

The hotel phoned a taxi to take us to the funicular station (across road from train station), taxi €15 euros one way, but worth it in our opinion, driver gave us his card to phone for return journey, he arrived promptly, was courteous & spoke excellent English.
I think you could get a bus from road near hotel or you could walk about - 25 mins or so l guess, busy traffic route though . Funicular train is €1.30 each way, including shuttle bus from Piazza Cahen to Piazza Duomo.
