I loved spending time inside and outside these beautiful premises. The place is maintained very well and it is just a fantastic experience - almost last stepping into the past- history - culture! This is a place you should definitely visit. I know I will plan on staying there again if I happen to be in the area!

We had a private tour to Orvieto from the cruise port near Rome. Although not usually open for lunch, our guide had a relationship with them and we had a phenomenal meal in an incredibly unique and beautiful setting. We were the only ones there, so of course had great service ... but I think it would be great all...

The buildings are very fine and the graden too. The rooms are big and the barthrooms are very small and old/worn. The pool was a disaster - very dirty and unsafe to swim in. The restaurant presentedbus with a very dirty table cloth and my cod was not fresh. In the morning at breakfast a cake with mould was served...

Loved this quiet stay in an old abbey from the 11th century! Very helpful and very friendly! English speaking staff! Large room and nice bath! Grounds were beautiful and the chapel was a pleasure to see. I can see why weddings are popular here. Breakfast was very plentiful with lots of offerings. Dinner on site was very nice and easy...

Pictures show you the best... outside the walls of beautiful Orvieto lies this small castle/abbey converted into a hotel/restaurant. If you are staying in one of the pricey suites (and are willing to pay big bucks for the attached but separately run restaurant)- then you may truly feel like royalty. If you jumped for the lowest priced room just to...

We attended a wedding here and enjoyed the scenery and the wedding was fabulous. The events during the wedding were smooth, the buildings gorgeous, and the food was great. Our hotel stay was not as pleasant. We didn't have any water several times, didn't have hot water, and the air conditioner was shut off several times. Since our travel to...

Dined in the collapsed church at a wedding. Magical setting, incredibile views on the walled city. The compound has a lovely 12th century chapel and a striking tower. Food was good, but I was distracted by the beauty of the setting. I have not explored the accommodation, nor I have any sense of the price as I was a guest....

My daughter and I stayed at La Badia for a family wedding in May. The grounds and the setting are simply stunning. The old church (where the wedding ceremony was conducted) was ancient and very beautiful. The reception was held outside that evening and the views were unbelievable! During dinner I was looking at the medieval fortress tower. We took...
