The room was perfectly adequate for a one night stay. No balcony, but a quiet room looking onto the side of the hotel. The bathroom looked to have been refurbished very recently and was very clean. The owners were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included and had a good selection of items.

Hotel Corso is a small and lovely hotel in the perfect middle of the main "corso" of the ancient medieval village of Orvieto. So it is perfect to visit the town which is marvelous! The staff is superkind and helping, the breakfast is of a good quality, the rooms are small but comfortable. As a plus, Hotel Corso has a parking and this is truly precious when in an ancient town. Last, but not least, the price of the room is convenient. A very nice stay.

All in all, I had a bed where to sleep, a faucet with running water, and a passable coffee for breakfast. But I don't recall anything much more satisfactory than that about my 4 night stay here. Don't be fooled by the fancy wide-angle lens pictures. Rooms are smaller and in a worse condition than that. Quality lies in the details, and the management can improve *a lot*. - Non-working light bulbs? check (this was later solved) - Gunky keychain fixed with tape? check - Dusty surfaces? chek - Broken bathroom furniture? check - Bad wifi? check - Plastic (and reused!) tableware in the breakfast room? check - Hand-drawn warning signs? check (this one was hilarious) - Uncomfortable furniture for the breakfast? check - Furniture showing the sign of the times? check - traces of mould in the shower curtain? check Although the rooms look like they are tidied up daily, there is a non negligible lack of thorough cleaning and maintenance. The resulting feeling is of a place where it is not comfortable to stay and not enough clean to fully enjoy the room. I'd rather go out hanging out/working somewhere else than stay there. There isn't a space where to stay or work, except for a small couch in the lobby at the entrance of the hotel and the breakfast room, but it is right at the entrance, therefore it isn't a quiet space. Rooms at the first floor around the 10 are very noisy (you can hear people chatting in the lobby and noise coming from the breakfast room almost as if you were there); the upside of this is that you don't need an alarm to wake up. You wont probably sleep after 7:30 am. Frankly, I don't understand the majority of top-score ratings.

The hotel,on a narrow street on the way to the main piazza, offers a very nice breakfast in the cozy dining room and is close to several restaurants. Our room on the second floor was a few steps away from a small outdoor balcony. The room was cozy and quiet with a comfortable bed. The only drawback was that the fee for parking, in a multi level parking lot which was supposedly supplemented by the hotel, was good only if you parked in a designated area. Because we checked in later on the day, the woman on duty didn't speak English and we missed that point. As a result we paid the full price for the parking.

Nice location but the room needs some work. Beds needs to be replaced, a new mattress would have made a big difference. Staff were nice but very limited English. Has the potential to be more but needs some attention.
