Some guide books suggest that Orvieto in Umbria is worth a day’s visit. Well, my wife and I stayed in Orvieto for a week and we certainly didn’t run out of things to do and see. It is such a beautiful city. We travelled by train from Rome. On arrival, we took the funicular which is just opposite the Station...

Orvieto is delightful! We stayed at Valentina's Rooms based on reviews from here and Rick Steve's Guidebook to Rome. It should have higher ratings! Valentina's is a bit hard to find, but worth it. Shirley was very kind to us, and gave us a map of the town, with highlights to see. They have parking with a small fee available...

This B&B is no longer a B&B--it doesn't serve breakfast--but it's a great find in Orvieto. Valentina is in a historic building a few minutes' walk from the town center. You must check in during listed times, but they are helpful and the rooms are well-furnished and great for relaxing. The staff was helpful when needed, but it is very...

A small apartment was rented for a few of my friends and I for 6 nights and 7 days through our school program. However, when we arrived, the manager who was not Valentina rudely spoke to our Italian guide explaining saying that she did not have space for one of my friends because he was a boy (the rest were...

Dear Anonymous As I don't know your name I am Valentina the owner of the B&B I read your review and you wrote very offensive first your chef knew exactely before your arrival that you had to move if he didn't tell you this is not my fault. Second one we carry your bags from the second floor and they...

I will start by saying that Orvieto is not so well known on the tourist map of Italy and that it is particularly attractive for that reason. The fortified town is greatly located if arriving through Rome and wanting to get out of the big city. The surroundings are beautiful, providing charming and truly authentic scenery of Umbria. Having travelled...

Valentina B&B was a good value for our stay in Orvieto... Our first night they had us in a different room than the one we had reserved, which was a little annoying - the top floor apartment room had poor water pressure - the hot water took a really long time to get going in the shower. Additionally, you could...

This review is long overdue. We stayed at the bed and breakfast last October 2011 for two nights. There were four of us. My mother, sister and friend. From the station, the taxi we took knew the place. We were greeted by a fellow Filipina staff named Shirley. We booked the Two bedroom apartment. It was on the third floor....

Wonderful staff, spotless rooms, great breakfast, terrific location. Keep in mind that is is in a walled city with narrow streets so don't expect panoramic vistas from your room. However, one of the rooms had a great view of the clock tower, right from the bed. I should mention that the bell chimes every 15 minutes, 24 hours a day....

We stayed in one of Valentina's apartments 3 nights in late Oct., 2011. It was close to the Pizza Republica, convenient but quiet. We had no interaction with staff except to be led to our place and to pay so we felt like residents. It would be a great place for 2 couples, bring a couple of kids too because...
