We stayed 2 days on a B+B basis. Self catering is available and there were families enjoying their holiday in apartments. There is a a really good supermarket within walking distance, which is well stocked. The rooms were clean and towels changed everyday and it was obvious that they really try to look after the rooms and public areas. The breakfast provided had a good selection of foods and beverages, the staff friendly. The only constructive criticism that I will make regards the pool bar.The drinks - mainly cocktails were dreadful, I don't think the young person really knows how to make them and were mainly topped up with tonic water, no matter what you asked for! When paying the bill there were some discrepancies regarding the bar, so I would say get a receipt and we were charged for the water in the mini bar which we didn't use but I couldn't be bothered to challenge reception on payment after discussing the bar.

Thank you for your opinion and for your advice that will surely help us to grow. There is only one thing that makes me confused, how could you make a statistic of the quality of the various coctails and then declare at reception that you did not drink anyone (as you should know this was the discrepancy and not water as you wrote). Regarding the use of receipts to the pool bar it is a good idea, but given the very low discrepancies registered up to now, I prefer to keep this climate of trust and freedom between our staff and our guests as a hallmark of Villamirella's atmosphere.

We left Villamirella fully recharged. We had a great 5 days. The rooms were spacious and had obviously been looked after. The AC worked well during a particularly hot week. We were fortunate enough to have a big balcony which was perfect for when it came to putting our 15 month son down to bed. A few evenings we used the kitchen to cook and this too seemed well equipped. Villamirella has a great pool, pool bar, and a play area and 'art corner suitable for younger children. They also had both a cot and high chair available for the room. The owner and his lovely assistant were excellent at their job, always making time to speak to my family and I. The area in and around Palinuro blew us away; my husband and I are fortunate enough to have travelled a lot around Europe and the choices of beaches was endless and were all beautiful, some of the best we have seen. We borrowed bikes so could easily access the nearest beaches. The only small issue we had was the cost and quality of the food in the restaurant. It seemed expensive for the quality of meal we had. Saying that it's very convenient and the staff are super friendly so I can understand why people compromise. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel and Palinuro is amazing!

We've spent absolutely the best time in Villamirella. Everything there touches perfection. We were hosted by the most friendly staff and the host himself (Mr. Carmelo) who assured we felt comfortably and secure through whole our stay there. Villamirella offers the best value for money in terms of accommodation with clean and tidy bathrooms, furnished kitchen with all the necessary appliances, wifi, air conditioning, easy accessible pool with bar, restaurant with great food, plenty of leisure areas where you can have the best time resting and enjoying fresh air, green and gentle crickets around you. Friendliness, hospitality, forbearance, safety - all those things will make you feel like in your own holiday home there. Great scenerie, easy access to three beautiful beaches, clean and warm sea water, plenty of tourist attractions make all of this complete. If this is what you look for having the best Italian holidays in this area - look no further! Highly recommended!

Very nice apartments. Great pool, good restaurant and a decent playground for small children. Well stocked supermarket around the corner. About 25 minutes walking to the village. Friendly staff. Still very quit in June.

We booked Villamirella at the last minute and on a recommendation of a fellow traveller to visit this area - we were so lucky to have chosen such a lovely place to stay. Camello and his wife are wonderful hosts. The property is a family property handed down from Camello's grandmother. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We stayed in a hotel room which had its own outdoor terrace. If we return (which we hope to) and for a longer stay, we would book one of their self-catering apartments - there is a great supermarket right next door (owned by Camello's brother?) and amazing local restaurants close by. We enjoyed this region as it is less touristy and frequented by mostly Italians on holiday.

Gorgeous apartment. Huge apartment for two adults and 3 children. Very friendly family run business. Restaurant food lovely. Pool lovely and clean. To experience the real Italy (like Sorrento minus hoards of British tourists) then Palinuro is for you. Palinuro is beautiful- very elegant.

Rather than stay in Naples between two visits to the opera I decided to drive down the coast to the Cliento. I could not have made a better choice of a place to stay than Villamirella. In early May 2016 the area was very quiet and I was the only person staying at Villamirella and was upgraded from a single to a double room. The room and bathroom were both excellent and very comfortable. Despite being the only guest the food and service were both first class. Bread for both breakfast and dinner was baked on the premises as were the cakes for breakfast. Breakfast (served until 10.00) was effectively a personal buffet with fresh bread, cakes, croissants, cooked meats, cheese, yoghurt, fruit, juices, coffee etc. There was a choice of juices served in carafes which were refilled as required and unusually for Italy the juice was what I would describe as real juice rather than the thin watery version often provided. Dinner was chosen at breakfast and was equally appetising. The first course was preceded by a board of cooked meats, cheeses, salad etc., the pasta offered for the first course differed everyday I was there and the house wine was very drinkable. All in all if staying in the Cliento Villamirella is a must

Been there for almost a week in the self-catering flat. I was carless and the place is conveniently next to a supermarket and there is a good courier bus stop nearby. Also the residence has a little bus to take you to the beach or other attractions so that you are comfortable even if it's location is away from the sea or town. There are restaurants and disco in walking distance from the place. Please be aware of the cancellation charges before you book.

A nice child friendly place to stay, with a well suited swimming pool and typical Italian/Campiana outstanding hospitality. Well situated location to experience all kinds of holidays like beach, cultural and environmental scenery. Location is at 2,5 hrs drive by car from Napoli (Pompei) or 2hrs for the Amalfi coastline /Positano) of 3,5 hrs from Rome. The location offers something different away from the crowdy and busy touristic 'north westerly coast line areas'. We truly enjoyed a 2 weeks stay at Villa Mirella !
