We looked at reviews but they didn't really help. We had a transfer from Naples about 2 1/2 hrs no problems . Checked into our room, which was spacious as was the bathroom , sea view small balcony , could of been bigger . Wifi excellent . Very clean . Aircon Resturant very well run, good breakfast choices and evening... More

We were booked into a standard room that unfortunately had a tiny balcony over looking derelict buildings. We upgraded and had a lovely room with great balcony and sea views. Unfortunately the food was very limited but what we had was very good. Sometimes a very strange dinner menu with, for example, pasta, pasta or pasta as a starter choice!... More

Located 2 kms outside Palinuro - 20 minute walk - regular shuttle bus. Bedrooms spacious, beds we found hard, efficient aircon, showers good. Good pool, additional smaller pool for children. Has it's own beach area with your own prescribed lounger which is a great idea. Food is average, staff are friendly. There is absolutely no atmosphere in the dining room... More

We flew to Naples and then took the train down to Palinuro, which takes about 2 hours at €20 ea return. I pre booked the Saline Hotel bus to collect us from the station which cost €20. Bargain because there were no taxis at the station! The hotel is down a short steep hill and the Reception was welcoming. Check... More

We have just returned from a week long stay at Hotel Saline and we highly recommend it for anyone wanting a quiet but sophisticated place to stay away from crowds. The location is exceptional, on a pristine, white sand with scattered rock pools, beach. The savoury food was of consistently high quality and we delighted in eating local, dishes made... More

I stayed here last October for a last minute relaxing escape away with Fleetway Travel and it did not disappoint. Service from both Fleetway and the hotel was impeccable. The food was superb even by Italian standards and much better than you get in the big hotels. I guess there are only around 50 rooms or so it's not too... More

Lovely hotel in a beautiful location though very much of the beaten track. Good position with a private beach. The food was great with a lot of variety. The staff were friendly and helpful but English is not commonly spoken in the area.

This hotel isn't terrible but neither is it very good. We had a 'sea view' room , the fixtures and fittings were in poor condition and the bathroom in particular was falling apart. The food in the restaurant is poor and the waiters seemed to have taken lessons from Basil Fawlty in customer relations as they were grumpy and crashed... More

We recently spent 10 days at Hotel Saline in Palinuro Italy, where we enjoyed excellent food and very attentive and friendly service from waiters and all the hotel staff. The hotel was clean and comfortable and was positioned on a clean sandy beach and had its own shuttle service into nearby Palinuro from where amongst many other things to do... More
