I do not recommend the bar of the hotel. Disapointing attitude of the lady who is incharge of payment asking different price for caffee if it is served at the table.
Nice European Breakfast with an incredible view on the sea!
The room was clean and comfortable, good soundproofing.
Despite the Hotel we found Palinuro City not so beautiful, like the coast/caves that are nothing special.
Breathtaking Summer sunset.
The beach is a stone's throw away.
I would not hesitate to stay here again and again :)
Our room was pleasant, with a balcony that could not have offered more spectacular views of the Tyrrhenian Sea, sunsets, and soft breezes. The hotel is located on the main street in this small town, which meant we were treated to the evening passeggiata. We especially enjoyed the small bar and gelato counter adjoining the hotel, with a terrace that had fabulous views of the bay.
They also had fresh eggs which you boil yourself to your preferred doneness.
This was our fifth trip to Italy. We have toured the Cinque Terre and beach towns of Puglia along the Adriatic. We liked the Cliento coast the best so far. The Santa Caterina provides quality accommodations at a reasonable cost. The service is excellent and we are seriously considering a repeat stay next year.
Palinuro itself is quiet and small. Beaches are very nice, I was expecting a bit more from restaurants and bars. It's the right place to relax, anyway.
Clean room, fantastic views, great breakfast. Food at the restaurant and the bar was excellent and the drinks & tapas were a daily treat
We loved Palinuro - the town, the people, the biking, and hope to return. When we do, we will definitely stay at Santa Caterina.
