Possibly the worst hotel experience ever. Horrible owners at front desk, sleazy bed and bedroom features in “ best suite”, lied about free transport which you must have to go down to actual city, changed brochure with white out to prove it wasn’t free( 70 euros ) no free internet as advertised must pay in full upon arrival before you can see room . “ free breakfast was a cup of coffee and a dry croissant.Kept our key which felt really bad as we did not trust them. Left after first night. Ruined positano experience for us.

We stayed here in September 2022 for three nights. Far too long. It is the first hotel you come to when you enter Positano, so it is the furthest from the centre. A taxi was 60 euros to get into the centre and back - worth it, as the climb to the hotel was killing. The room was lovely, but there was no accounting process in place when we ordered a couple of drinks, so the bill upon check-out was a horrible shock! We told our travel agent what had happened and they kindly refunded the difference. Sorrento was much better and I wish we had just had a day trip to Positano by sea to see the view and move on.

I booked a two night stay at Palazzo Marzoli Resort for $618 via Hotwire. The day before my stay I received the standard email from Hotwire confirming my two night stay. After we were fully checked in we left to go to dinner. Before we headed out the lobby entrance they stopped us down at the front desk and asked for our key. Upon arrival after dinner we went to pick up our key. When we stopped by the front desk they told us that our reservation had been canceled and that if we wanted to stay in the room we had to pay $690 for the night. They also informed us that they are completely booked for tomorrow night so we won’t have anywhere to stay. They were clearly overbooked and put us in a room in which was not the standard room that we booked using Hotwire. Only after us checking in and going to dinner did they realize the mistake they had made. But rather than make it right they proceeded to yell at us and demanded that we pay $690 in order for us to stay there. I called Hotwire and they said that they showed our reservation as being active. With our hand being forced we ended up paying the increase nightly rate and were kicked out of the hotel the next day. We had to pay an absurd amount of money to find an Airbnb for the next night. I am not sure how they can even get away with this. It is complete fraud. They should not only be out of business but should be charged criminally for the actions in which they are operating.

This is a quaint hotel situated on the hills of Positano. Beautiful views, the owners take pride in their establishment, they provided friendly accommodations and made our stay very pleasant. Bus stop is near by, the owners provided taxi service to the shopping area. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely return to this location. We highly recommend this hotel.

I would undoubtedly pick a different place to stay in Positano. The service is poor and we felt scammed of our money. Firstly, they require you to pay the taxes in cash, whereas they take cards everywhere else. Secondly, they charge you to keep your luggage at the front desk if you are leaving the property later than the check-out time. I have never been charged to keep my luggage at a hotel after paying to stay there for multiple nights - ridiculous! Moreover, two of the owners discussed this price amongst themselves, and this was not a standard arrangement. This place is not worth the money and I would look for housing elsewhere!

They ‘pretend’ they can’t charge your credit card for days and then abruptly cancel your booking only to give away your room at a higher price to someone else!! There was nothing wrong with our cards! Confirmed by our bank and we even booked other accommodation all over Italy with the same cards! They Ultimately ruin your holiday having to book another hotel last minute!! Absolute Scammers!! I don’t know how they get away with it!! Who knows how many people they do this to!

The hotel has a great location and no need to use stairs to get to the hotel as is on the main street, which means to go to the beach is fairly easy but there is plenty stairs, getting back to the hotel you will sweat as many hotels in Positano. Not a big deal we expected that. The room was clean and old Italian character. The bed was terrible! They say free breakfast and is just coffee with some types of bread. Parking was super expensive 85 Euros a day!!! And it had to be in cash, they don't want you to pay with your card and they don't give you any receipt. In the booking said that it included city tax already and when we arrived they charged us 7 Euros per person per night, again only cash. Check out they charged us 24 Euros for 4 bottles of water that we did not take from the mini bar, they would not understand that when we got to the room there was only one bottle of water in the refrigerator. They did not believed us, and they were very rude. We paid then again in cash so we could continue our trip. Overall we do not recommend this hotel. Don't compromise your experience in beautiful positano with this hotel.

We had a 6 night stay booked at Palazzo marzolli resort. The stay was largely enjoyable. Pros: Fantastic scenic views Rooms were clean and comfortable- comfortable bed and good size rooms Easy access to transport links and good local nearby shops for supplies Free unlimited Wi-Fi Breakfast delivered to balcony at requested times Cons: Shower pressure variable Non negotiable breakfast times( we had a Capri boat tour booked and reception were unwilling to give us our paid breakfast before 0730) City taxes had to be paid in cash at start of stay( other hotels we stayed in always paid at the end) and they refused to take card payment Breakfast choices could have been better- offered additional breakfast items for surcharge however considering how much we paid I would have expected these to have been included On the whole we had a pleasant stay and if you don’t mind a lot of walking to the beach, the views from the balcony were definitely worth it. I would say 3* for us

Room and view alright. But they made us pay €10 for a bottle of water for a sick child in the middle of a storm. They did not care. Tried to double charge us. Avoid. There are many better hotels for a similar price. Would not recommend, nor would we stay again.

AVOID this hotel! It will ruin your holiday! Will CHARGE you EUR 150 per guest per night upon arrival!!!! AVOID SCAM!!!! Forced us into paying an extra EUR 250 more upon arrival, as they said I'd booked 1 guest not 2, when clearly my email confirmation said 2 guests! Despite much heated arguing in the reception in front of other guests. I got a EUR 50 discount (instead of EUR 300), but completely outrageous behaviour! Sleeping receptionist, who is completely incompetent, rude, and management who is threatening!!! For the city tax, ensure you get a receipt as its paid cash! They tried to force me into paying again, even though I'd paid upon arrival. Housekeeping did not respect the "do not disturb" sign on the door, and woke up us up early in the morning by fully walking in the room. Also, they tried to get my credit card details via email to no doubt use it for nefarious activities. Do not send them details!!! They always ask you to sign the receipts, as backup in case guests refute charges that were incorrectly charged! Management refused to replace the wine opener in our room!!!
