In our stay in Positano we decided to stay in La Caravella! And I’m so glad we did! This place is the best, I really don’t understand how it has bad reviews! First of all the location is AMAZING, and you can’t beat the price! No going up and down stairs with ur luggage and bags, it’s right on the beach. Making its location one of the best things of this place! Our ferry dropped us off and it was a 3 minute walk to the place. The place has Lounge chairs in the front, which is amazing because you don’t have to pay the 25€ Sun bed fee of the Positano beach. We simply left our things in the Caravella sun beds and went for a dip in the beach. We had a room in the bottom floor facing the outside and it was great waking up every morning to such a great view. (Photo reference of the view right outside the residence) The service was also great they come every morning to fix your bed and give fresh new towels and toilettres. The hotel manager Rosa greeted us in the front, and allowed us to leave our stuff in the back as check in is at 1! Such a nice lady, very sweet and helpful, she’s there every morning and night to greet the guest I dont understand why people left bad reviews! People were saying that it was too noisy and I completely disagree. Of course you would hear people talk outside here and there but nothing too bad! Again I had such an amazing experience at this place and if I’m ever in Positano again I will be sure to book this place ! Thank you Rosa! 💗

My boyfriend and I visited this beautiful hotel, and we absolutely loved it. There is a private beach which I think really makes this place special. The rooms are beautiful, clean, and the service staff are so kind and helpful.

The location is exclusive to Positano, there is no other place like this. The room was overlooking the ocean, and it was both clean, spacious and beautifully decorated. There is also access to a private beach that the hotel offers to their guests, and it’s absolutely magical. The view from the beach is stunning and gives you a picture perfect view of Positano. The staff were also professional, friendly and helpful.

The worst experience. No reception. you will have to wait on the beach for someone who will (if he will) come to provide the key and open the door. despite high unjustified prices they ask money for the wi-fi. I paid online and the username and password never arrived. I complained and then they privately threatened legal action ( I would do it if I had the time! ). Luckily I read of some many other unhappy and outraged customers!! unfortunately it represents all the cliches of the 'worst' Italy. it is not a matter of 10 Euros, it a matter of style and transparency and customer care. vote: zero!

Waterfront, walking distance to the dock if you're taking the boat. If you're like us when our boat turned out to be cancelled due to strong waves from Salerno and rerouted to Amalfi and had to take that coastline bus ride, you may need to walk down from the road, which wasn't too far from the bus stop off. It was a walk so hopefully you don't have heavy luggages to carry down the many many steps. Hope you have Google maps downloaded too, helps alot. We stayed in a room with balcony and a kitchenette, which was really great you can ask for kitchen sponge and dishwashing soap from Rosa, and you're a short walk from the grocery by the church. Saves money if you prefer to make breakfast and maybe light lunch, which we did every day. Also we hand washed some light clothing and hung out to dry at the balcony--Rosa was so kind as to bringing our clothes in the one day it rained and we were away on a day trip to Ravello (which is btw highly recommended!) She also changed our towels which was really nice. The apartment was pretty clean, spacious, came with a bathroom and half bath, and you're by the water. A/c upstairs and downstairs. The club music didn't bother us really, just close the balcony door. Of you're super sensitive, then bring ear plugs but really, it wasn't a problem once you close the balcony door. If you have to take the road on the way back again ask Rosa to arrange a porter for you, I think it's 10euro per luggage? I could be wrong. We had a destination wedding in Tuscany. One might consider this a good central place for guests to stay if planning a wedding here since it's near the church since it's so accessible by boat and so central. I would not hesitate to stay here again when we return to Positano and I would also recommend to family and friends :)
