I chose this place because of its location right on the beach. I didn't want to deal with climbing up and down the stairs to the hotel when we were in Positano only for 2 days. I had read some of the reviews here and was prepared on arrival with reservation information, apartment name and rate. We arrived one hour... More

All in all, this was a great place to stay as it was on the beach with a balcony over looking the sea. Every morning enjoying a coffee and every evening sipping a glass of wine while taking in the beach / sea. Most resorts you can't stay this close to the beach. The restaurant next door gave 10% discount... More

Looked forward to a great beach front experience and spent extra for a generous (30sqm) triple room/apartment with a town view. Instead got a small room with a trundle bed, looking straight into a rock. No flexibility, either from the hosts or from booking.com, luckily only here for two nights.

I booked to stay at La Caravella w/ a 3rd party booking, and chose the options to pay at the hotel. But I also chose the option to cancel within reason for extra per night (just in case). June 22, 2016 I reserved for September 14th thru September 18, 2016. It was almost $500.00 USD per night! I had the... More

Location was great ...glad I didn't have to go up the hill every day. The manager is tough but just need to break the ice with her and she was very helpful, in fact got lots of discounts for us. Rooms are small but very clean and everything worked.

I don't get why it's a thousand Aussie dollars a night for something way less than would be deemed a two bedroom apartment . The second room is curtained off - no window . The kitchen is a joke I don't get why they don't tend to the garden in particular the weeds Good location but that can only take... More

An agent booked this for us, sight unseen, and that was a big mistake. Room was not at all what was shown on Internet and in print marketing materials. Rooms were very small, rundown furniture and not very clean. Service was bad. Bathroom smelled like septic tank. The only positive was location and other deficiencies don't make up for that.... This is one of the worse places to stay in Positano, the location is great but get ready to deal with the Manager Eva Russo. She would find a way to rip you off, whether changing your room at the last minute for something less than what you paid or better if you haven't pay and raise the price at... More

Room was clean but it smelled like a septic tank and the bed was like a rock. Everything was a la carte, even WiFi cost 10 euros. Rosa the caretaker was nice but she let herself in our room to check on cleaning while we were in there.

Let's be clear, this is not a hotel, it's a serviced apartment and it is priced as such. So I have based my views and review on this fact. If you want a hotel, book a hotel, there are plenty in Positano. With the above in mind our apartment was very good, probably the best location if your plans are... More
