My wife and I seriously considered staying at Le Sirenuse and are so glad we did not, although that is a delightful hotel to be fair. Hotel Eden Roc, however, is literally a five minute walk away from LS and is just as exemplary, but is much more affordable.
The hotel is clean, comfortable, convenient and easy to access, not oversized, and most of all has fantastic staff members. Pascal and Mario in particular (but many others also) made our stay truly special—I hope you get the opportunity to meet and interact with them. (To Eden Roc management: you should consider giving these two a raise and promotion).
We also really enjoyed their restaurant (Adamo ed Eva, didn’t get to try the new Roc Pizza & Steak). It was among our favorite restaurants in the entire city of Positano. The breakfast each morning was enjoyable as well, particularly because of Tony and Salvatore—what a bunch of characters and of course great people.
As for our room, we stayed at the Susy Suite which is actually an annex unit a few doors down from the main hotel. We were a little nervous about not technically staying inside the hotel itself, but it turned out even better than we could have imagined. The room was very private with its own kitchen and large balcony that has an unimpeded view of the sea. It still gets daily housekeeping and is actually in a more convenient location in terms of waking down to the city center. The only downside we noted is that you can hear the traffic zip by since it’s right off the main street, however, this was not an issue for us as the sound really died down by about 11pm each night.
In conclusion, we absolutely loved Eden Roc and would highly recommend it. Needless to say, we would stay here again without hesitation.

Beautiful place, stunning view, and absolutely impeccable service. Senore Pascal is the best, so personal and polite. All of the staff treated us wonderfully. The room is super modern, compared to most of the other places we’ve stayed throughout Italy. Lots of outlets, even had a 110v in the room. We had one of the rooms with the hot tub on the balcony which was a well used.
We’ve been traveling for 2 weeks from North to South Italy and this is the best hotel we’ve stayed in. We bought gifts and they can even ship them back home for you. We used their driver services to pick us up and drive us back to Naples. They made everything so convenient and easy.
The restaurant is very good, we’ve eaten at a couple of other places in Positano and one (Ie Tre Sorelle) was very good but a few others we wish we would have eaten at the restaurant in the hotel. Their complementary breakfast was, dare I say, too much! Lots of excellent gourmet breads, pastries, and jams.
Location is great for views as well as a short walk to the shops and beach. Will definitely be staying here when in Positano.

Myself and my partner have just returned from a long weekend away, staying at Hotel Eden Roc. On arrival we were shown straight to our room (room 4020 with jacuzzi) - it was beautiful and impeccably clean. Hot tub worked perfectly and even had a light changing effect for when we had our evenings dip! Hotel is very good location - short walk to the beach (obviously there are lots of steps but not much that can be done about that as the town is on a hill) Really is in the heart of all the good restaurants and bars but the hotel itself was one of the places we enjoyed dinner the most (and we hadn’t made a reservation but they still accommodated us and even gave us one of the best tables) We spent one of our days by the pool which was absolutely stunning and a much needed refreshing break from the heat! All the staff are excellent and friendly throughout – they literally cannot do enough for you and always happy to go that extra mile. Travelling during Covid had changed things slightly e.g. the buffet breakfast you have to do via the staff and point out to them what you would like but Tony quickly came to know what we liked and on the second day was all ready and waiting to serve us to a fabulous standard. I felt for the staff having to wear the masks in the heat but obviously it is a requirement at present. Overall really enjoyed our time at Eden Roc – it really is a beautiful hotel with lots of character and the staff are a credit, highly recommend.

My husband and I spent 4 nights here as part of a 15 day Italy vacation. The hotel only had 25 rooms so the staff was extremely attentive to the guests staying here. The first night we ate at the rooftop restaurant, Adamo ed Eva. The gnocchi suggested by our waiter was incredible. The hotel also has breakfast every morning which is hosted by the "dynamic" Tony who I think doubles as a barista with his amazing coffee drinks. The last night at our hotel we decided to do the wine tasting. This ended up being one of the best parts of our stay in Positano. Luigi was so informative and a joy to converse with. We have spent a week in Napa before and Luigi explanations of the wine was much more extensive and helpful than any winery we have visited back home. It was such a nice way to start our night and I highly suggest it. For 25 euros each, you receive three large pours of wine, the most incredible tasting cheeses I have ever had to pair with each wine, as well as Luigi's fun personality and knowledge of wine and the region.

Probably the most friendly hotel I’ve stayed in anywhere in the world. The staff was there helping you before you had time to think about what you needed! Other hotels of this calibre can take themselves very seriously and be rather snooty but from welcome to departure every staff member was like a long lost friend! The junior suite was well thought out and had a great living space, well furnished balcony and well equipped bathroom. Breakfast (Covid style) could not have been handled better with the waiter remembering out preferences on day two. The pool area was smaller than I expected with only room for 8 beds but the stormy September weather meant we had the area to ourselves one afternoon. Location wise it’s at the top of the hill from the centre- I was with my elderly mother but she coped well even with the climb in the hailstones but if you forgot to bring something down to the beach with you it’s a long way back!! Hope to rest next year.

After months of searching where to stay and have our symbolic wedding in Positano, I came across this gem at a very reasonable price compared to some of the other luxury options. It's difficult to describe how remarkable this hotel and their staff were. The property was gorgeous and our room was exquisite. The balcony overlooking the water was my favorite. The bed was the most comfortable cloud I've ever slept on. The staff made us feel like a queen and king. Don't even get me started on our ceremony! They turned our wedding into a fairy tale. We eloped, just the two of us, yet they made us feel like we were surrounded by family. I've never felt more catered to in my life. Please, please, do yourself the pleasure of staying at this hotel if you visit Positano!!

Be careful, I was overcharged for my stay after checkout and the hotel does not even respond to the emails to sort things out. Someone charged dinner & drinks to my room, the receipt was clearly not mine - the signature and name weren't mine, the charge was removed at the checkout however later I noticed that the hotel charged my card one more time after checkout and included the charge that was removed at the checkout and also added a charge that was made to my room after I already checked out. I emailed the hotel they sent me back copies of the receipts charged to my room that don't even have my signatures and do not respond to any emails, Ive never had this issue with a hotel before, very unprofessional. I do not recommend staying here.

Dear anna-p-martyn, we had nothing to do with anything similar in the recent past. Actually, I manage this Hotel since I was 18 and let me tell you that the conduct you describe goes absolutely against our most solid working principles. I asked tripadvisor to verify the comment was actually made by a Guest of ours, but the reply was prompt and not very pertinent: "The review respects our guidelines and will remain posted on Tripadvisor". It is probably respecting the guidelines, except for the fact that it was destinated to some other place. Let me add that, for your information, it is almost two years that we are not processing any manual transaction on credit cards, according to the PSD2 (2015 EU 2366 Payment Services Directive). Each payment goes through a strong double authentication, which also allows to avoid frauds for Customers. So, if you really had this unfortunate experience with any place in the word, especially in Europe, I strongly suggest to dispute the transaction. I'm sure you will be reimbursed easily once the credit card company will make sure the charge was not authorized by the holder. Hopefully, this review will be helpful in having your unauthorized charges back. In the same time, I hope you can be so kind to cancel this comment from our account. My most personal regards

If you are heading to Positano, Eden Roc is a must! We just returned from our 20th Anniversary trip and this was far the best hotel experience we have ever had! We stayed in the La Sponda Suite which is located just across the street from the main hotel. We enjoyed all the amenities of the hotel but had our own private space. The entire suite was perfect.. a small kitchen stocked with everything we needed, 2 bathrooms, a washer and dryer, living space, large bedroom with a king bed, and a large patio with the most amazing view of the sea and Positano! The hotel was about a 10-15 minute walk down to the beach/main shopping area. And easy walk with a wonderful view and lots of shops and restaurants along the way. The wine tasting with Luigi is a must, so fun and informative. There is also an olive tasting that we wish we had done but ran out of time. Dinner at Adamo and Eva was wonderful! The best hotel breakfast experience you can imagine..wonderful food including the best omelets and wonderful cappuccino with the most incredible view. Tony and Sal made every morning and unforgettable experience! Pascal at the front desk made sure we had everything we needed and booked several dinners for us, he made us feel so special! Everyone in the hotel went out of their way to make us feel at home and took care of our every need. I hope that we can return, it truly was the best experience!

We arrived in Positano and were warmly welcomed by the polite young lady at reception. A smooth process of checking in and walked across the road to La Sponda accommodation. This is actually a beautiful apartment with the best views of the town that you could ever wish for. I suggest anyone wishing to stay in Positano to take this apartment, it has a gorgeous long balcony, were you can watch the boats, beach and look over the town as it goes about it business. An added plus is the extra space that makes you feel at home. We also often had a bottle of wine and chilled on the balcony watching the world go by.
The hotel has a great kitchen, breakfast is like a theatre show as Tony (I presume Antonio) serves great delights and provides his own special way of presentation, just brings a smile to the beginning of your day.
The hotel restaurant, Adamo Ed Eva, commands great views of the town and also at sunset, as the town lights up in the evening. We are quite a foodie couple and we weren’t disappointed. The menu is well delivered and accompanying recommended wines. We have a fantastic meal and kudos to the kitchen and front house team who provided us with a memorable dinner.
The swimming pool is a good spot too, again fantastic views of the town and beach, clean and a nice pool menu.
Overall having stayed in many global high end and boutique hotels this is up there.

There is a swimming area roped off at the beach area that is about 75 yards wide. The bay itself is very large and beautiful but there's a lot of boats, sail boats and yachts continuously going in and out. I'm a former swimmer not sure what type of competition you're training for. You could get a pretty good work out in the beach area they have roped off but as far as swimming in the open ocean I wouldn't count on it. Hope this helps.

The balconies aren't really visible to be honest maybe if someone is really looking but nearly all the hotels are like this.
As for noise, there isn't much with the door closed.
This hotel is further up so not as much through traffic but you will certainly hear the odd scooter beep.
It's a truly stunning view and a great hotel
There are more places to choose from in the Positano area.
