My wife and I just returned from our honeymoon in Italy and we spent our first week at Hotel L'Ancora. This was our second stay at the hotel and it simply reaffirmed why we fell in love with it so much on our first trip. Gino and the entire L'Ancora team went completely out of their way to make this the most memorable trip for my wife and I. We were treated like royalty from the second we arrived. Everything from our car valet, to champagne in our room, to getting the exact room we wanted, to breakfast being brought down for us - the details and attention goes on and on. They addressed us by name each day and catered to all of our needs. The entire trip and hotel stay was a perfect ten and we will never consider staying anywhere else.

Just back from a 2 night stay in this hotel. Excellent centrally located hotel with easy access to restaurants, beach and shops. The views from this hotel is amazing and one not to miss...we booked a classic room with a sea view but upgraded at an extra charge to a superior for the better view. The food in the hotel is nice. We had breakfast included which is your typical European breakfast. We also had dinner one night which was also nice but we booked it just to take in the amazing views from the restaurant location at night. The same restaurant is used for breakfast. Hotel staff were helpful and arranged for a moped for us to be dropped to the hotel. I'd highly recommend this for travelling the There was no iron in the rooms or hotel so you had to basically arrange for clothes to be ironed 24 hours in advance. So bring an iron or book your clothes in advance of arrival.....

I spent hours and probably days of my life studying Le Sirenuse Hotel and trying to justify the cost. I felt enamored by the views and the Instagram pictures. It is rather expensive there, even for a tiny pool view room, and I decided I would look elsewhere. NEXT door is Hotel L'Ancora. It is STEPS away...you can measure the walk in seconds, not minutes. I am SO HAPPY I selected the Hotel L'Ancora. Room 206 - a Junior Suite - has an extraordinary terrace and view. This is the ideal place for people looking to replicate the view of the Sirenuse for a fraction of the cost. The view is effectively the same and if you book this room you'll have a gigantic terrace too. Lots of places claim they have the same view, but this is the same view at the same height with the same 'oh wow' perspective. I spent so much time researching this and I'm so pleased I did. Beyond the view and the big terrace, there were many other things to like. The room itself as very large with multiple outdoor and indoor seating places. The design is traditional but it fits naturally in the area. The restaurant at the top at the street area also has an excellent view. The food and drinks are priced exceptionally well. They could double the prices easily. Food was great and we ate here for breakfast and lunch. The staff also arranged some great dinners and other activities. Everything was so perfect on our visit. I can't wait to return soon.

Had the Most beautiful views of Positano from our balcony. Had turn down service every night. Exceptional service and staff. The 2 front desk ladies were helpful from getting cars, things to do, and restaurants. Breakfast was delicious every morning. Staff was great all around.

We stayed here 2 nights in September 2021 and loved every minute. Our driver was able to drop us off right in front of the hotel, so no need to lug our suitcases up any stairs. Carmela was waiting for us right out front to help with the luggage and check us in. We were hungry, and she was able to reserve a table with the best view at their restaurant for lunch. The views from this hotel are incredible, and they rival the much more expensive Le Sirenuse right next door. Seriously, there is a line of people waiting to get into Franco's Bar every night when they could enjoy the same views and cocktails from Ancora. The staff goes above and beyond here, and the included breakfast was amazing. Our room was enormous and we had a large terrace with loungers. Even though we booked a room without a view, we could still see some of the Positano views. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Thanks to Carmela for always greeting us with smile!
