This hotel is advertised with beautiful pictures with pool and tennis courts, and that's where the beauty ends. For or stay no functional pool covered in algae and tennis courts mouldy. The room had bare wires in PowerPoint. None of the sinks drained. The beds were very comfortable. This is the only positive thing we had to say. We ordered 2 fried eggs and bacon for breakfast. We got told you can only have 1 egg. In room we got provided 1 paper cup. Each day, we had to ask for another. The staff at breakfast & dinner were like an episode from Faulty Towers. These young staff were doing the best they could. The manager was rude when confronted about the issues he said he hear's this every day.

If your reading this do not book this hotel for your stay in positano The breakfast was AWFUL we were nearly sick at the sight of the eggs. The hotel is terrible to navigate it’s like a maze and smells musty. All the plugs in the room were either hanging off or didn’t work. The bathroom wasn’t the cleanest. When booking this hotel there was NO mention that you have to walk 399 steps up the side of the hill to get to it. The pool was green as we didn’t even try it. Such as shame as our actual time in positano was great but wish we had booked an air b&b or a different hotel.

Staff was wonderful, rooms were clean and spacious, the shower was probably the best shower i’ve ever used in Europe. The food in the restaurant was serviceable but the staff was great and the live music was a nice plus. The views were arguably the best I saw in Positano. Getting to downtown was easy with the conveniently located steps. I never took the bus back but it stopped right in front of the entrance( I needed to work off all the food I ate). Overall for staying in Positano at an affordable hotel it was a great experience. Would love to visit again (shoutout Renato the bartender for making our drinks on the patio a memorable experience every night!)

I was really disappointed with this property. I wasn’t sure if April was “out of season”, and now I’m just not sure what “out of season” is for this property. The property was extremely run down compared to the photos. Carpets worn, pool was green (I still expected a tarp or clean water for nice photos, also smelled like smoke inside the building), and the tennis court was in very rough condition (the fence was mostly ruined, no net and completely trashed, obviously not usable as advertised- a complete hazard since you could access the area and just walk off the cliff!!). The parking was minimal and they insisted we leave our keys for “safety” which was not further elaborated on… We were not given wine glasses to drink in our room but overall the staff was friendly. The wifi did not work for the majority of our stay. Extremely slow and unreliable. We had dinner and breakfast included with our stay and we found the meals to be beyond expectations (very delicious options and many courses although service was pretty slow). The close walking location and the great food were the perks! Run-down furniture and the lights that never worked as well as the previously mentioned property flaws made this stay not worth the price.

Definitely NOT a 4 star hotel. A 3 star describes it better but I have been to much better 3 star hotels to be honest. The views were amazing so it was a shame that the 3 rooms we stayed in were "crying out" for a very badly needed renovation! The bathrooms felt dirty and the furniture old, the wood of my closet was falling apart. For me personally the worse was the fact that we booked rooms with a veranda, imagining that we could sit and enjoy our coffee or tea but alas... no coffee/tea facilities. Breakfast was ok and the staff that was on duty in the mornings were polite and attentive (as well as the staff in the Reception). On arrival there was alot of confusion as one of our rooms was supposed to be a triple but the extra bed was not done. Ok it happens but we had 3 ladies running around our room not being sure what to do (they said it was their first day at work so apparently there was no training). One incident that should not have happened: first afternoon and since there was no coffee/ tea facilities in our rooms, we went to the Terrace and ordered our coffees. I asked if they had any sweets or pastries and they said no. Well we have a sweet tooth so guilty as charged! We took out some biscuits we bought earlier in the day to have with our coffee. After a few minutes our waiter cam to inform us that it was PROHIBITED to bring our own food in the Terrace and that if the Direttore saw it he would be in trouble!!! I mean we did ask for sweets and they had none to offer so maybe the Direttore should look into that? Just saying...?Anyway my suggestion to the owners/ management is to bite the bullet and throw in some money to upgrade the property because its view is not enough...

This hotel is basic but clean. The staff are pleasant but it has the worst food we have ever had in a hotel. We booked half board but were extremely disappointed with the evening meal each night. The food was very bland, nearly always cold and we were served diced potatoes with every main course which tasted like they were cooked at the beginning of the week and were dished out each night. We could honestly wretch at the thought of how bad it was. Some guests were bed and breakfast and while we were there a lady wanted to purchase bowl of soup to take to her room for an ill husband. The hotel told her it would be €25 as all starters were this price as were all the main courses and the desserts €20. If there had been any restaurants near the hotel we works have eaten or every night, but unfortunately there weren't. I did notice the ratings on this hotel were low for the food but never in my worst nightmare did I think it would be this bad. I felt like the chef was laughing at us all in the restaurant. He kept leaning around the kitchen door to look at all the guests with a smirk on his face. Stay clear.

The pictures listed are at least ten years old. This led to a vary awkward first impression. After connecting to the Wi-Fi, I started to understand why (if you are fans of dial up, this is your place). Below is a list of pros and cons. Pros 1. Deck chairs are comfy to sleep in 2. Room temperature made sheets unnecessary 3. Elevator is like Hotel of Horror at Disneyland, but no lines 4. Soap smelled good 5. Taxi came at 7 AM limiting time at hotel. Cons 1. No working electrical plugs 2. Mold (In shower not on cheese) 3. Dirty tile (Jackson Pollack found inspiration here) 4. Bedding from the 90s (not like grandmas house) 5. Need GPS to navigate the hallways. Please read reviews and don’t end up like us. It was once a four star place, but that was 2010…. Hotel staff have a tough job, but we’re pleasant.

The Hotel is old and needs to be renovated. We had clean sheets and towels everyday. The Rooms were clean. What makes the hotel a 4 Star is the Food and The view. The Staff were friendly. The Breakfast and Dinner gave us a lot choices the dinner menu changed every Day Everything tasted amazing.

Would never recommend this hotel to anyone. Hotel staff are not helpful at all and are just simply rude. Hotel is full of bed bugs and bitten all over. When mentioned it to the hotel the didn’t bother to do anything and said no there isn’t. Hotel room was full of ants too. Do not stay here.

The room was clean, and well appointed, with a bidet; it was a bit tired, but certainly serviceable. The pool was very nice, and the staff were very accommodating and friendly. Food was good, to very good. The hallways took half a day to figure out, but other than that, I would stay here again
