Could not have asked for a more stunning property to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. Upon check in we were generously upgraded to a room that overlooked Positano and the ocean, which made us very happy. The staff was wonderfully attentive without being intrusive which allowed us to truly relax. All around Five Stars!!

The rooms and decor are fabulous. The hotel looks better than it is. We felt it though it was a better quality hotel than it was. I must say the food in the Michelin Star Restaurant was poor. I have been to May 1 star Michelin restaurants and this was ordinary. While in Amalfi other hotels and restaurants we stayed and ate in has much better food. My question is why it was awarded a star. The 9 course taster menu was ordinary. The staff’s attention to detail was not what you would expect from a luxury hotel. On arrival our room was not available we were left in the bar feeling awkward and not shown around the hotel. The cod in the beach restaurant I had was off. Good experience but could be much better

Our home away from home. We absolutely love this place. The staff and service is impeccable. The views a Positano and the Mediterranean Sea are like none other! The food is over the top delicious! The hotel provides free 2 hour boat tours of the Amalfi coast each day. They provide free shuttle services to Positano. When you’re ready to explore, the staff is happy to assist you with TOURS, and car services are readily available. The best absolute hotel in the world.

For many years we have wanted to stay at Il San Pietro but could never find availability -- and now we know why. Two nights here were not nearly enough. To say Il San Pietro is magical is an understatement. The cliff-hanging location and view of the ocean are both incredible, but as others have said, the staff here are incomparable. Every single staff member we encountered was genuinely kind, helpful and eager to do anything necessary to enhance our stay. Our lovely Prestige Room with Sea View had a very large terrace with three separate seating areas including a dining table where we enjoyed breakfast, plus an entertaining view of the pool. We had an excellent lunch at the restaurant down by the beach club and two superb dinners at Zass (we canceled a reservation elsewhere in order to dine there a second night). Our overarching experience was a feeling of being made totally welcome despite being first-time guests. As we pulled away from the hotel's pier alongside the beach club on a boat bound for Capri, all we could think was, when can we return? Soon, we hope. …

Wow! What an amazing hotel! From the facilities to the staff, every single aspect of our stay was perfect. Andrea is a phenomenal general manager and did a great job continuously checking in on us during our stay. The rest of the staff was just as friendly and attentive to our needs - always making sure we were enjoying our time. We had breakfast delivered to our hotel most mornings and had a very friendly conversation each time with the staff member who delivered our food. And our experience was the same at the spa/gym, the hotel bar, Zaas, during our pizza making class, and during all other activities and while at all other spaces we used at the hotel. Usually when we go to a five-star hotel, we are awed with the facilities. The facilities here were superb, but what got our attention and wowed us the most was the staff! The staff was the highlight of our trip and is the number one reason we will be coming back to the hotel in the future. …

My wife and I were in Rome for a combination business and pleasure trip and extended our time in Italy with a 3 night stay at Il San Pietro di Positano. From the moment we stepped foot into the lobby at arrival to our final moments at departure, we were simply wowed with the level of service. We were warmly greeted at the front desk, personally welcomed by Andrea Zana and escorted to the terrace to take in the beautiful vista and enjoy our cocktail. Everything throughout our stay was simply perfection. Although the physicals property is spectacular, it is the team of people that we came in contact with that provided a level of exceptional hospitality that we have not experienced at any other hotel. We hope to return and enjoy this very special place.

Spectacular hotel beautifully sited, with a very impressive and professional staff, attentive to every need and amenity. Thoughtfully laid out, very close to (but not in) Positano, quiet, breathtaking views of the the cliffs, sea, and Positano. Room had every amenity, large well-equipped bathroom. Gorgeous public rooms and restaurants, beautiful outdoor terrace with killer views. Everyone at hotel kind, thoughtful, professional, helpful, personal. Just lovely in every way. It was everything (and more) that I hoped it would be.

In our 18 day trip to Italy, we spent 3 amazing nights at this hotel. Words in a review simply cannot do this place justice. You truly have to experience it to understand. We arrived in the middle of absolutely horrible weather in May (which is very unusual). Our boat trips all cancelled on us the day before arrival. We were totally bummed out. But then we arrived… This place could be enjoyed in the absolute worst weather. The views are still absolutely stunning, the service is impeccable and anyone can have the best and most relaxing vacation regardless of circumstances. We came for our 26th wedding anniversary and it has been our best stop on the trip (even though 100% of our excursions cancelled). Even in poor sea conditions, the shuttle still runs to Positano, the food is still delicious, the grounds worth investigating and admiring, they have a wonderful spa, and they were opening up more pizza making classes, cocktail making classes, etc. They were always ensuring their guests were having the best time. On our last full day, they wanted to run their complimentary 2 hour boat tour of the Amalfi Coast. While it was still too choppy to disembark from the hotel pier, they shuttled us to the town of Positano and had us board the boat there. They went to great lengths to give us this experience. Most hotels would have just canceled until they could board per normal procedures. It has been a complete privilege to stay here, and I sure hope we will be back. I wish I could just stay in this room forever, reading books, and enjoying the view. It’s paradise.…

We spent 4 nights here. The service was excellent, the property was stunningly beautiful, and Zass restaurant was outstanding. Comfy bed, clean and beautifully appointed room - even the base level rooms are beautiful with an amazing view. There is nothing to fault. We had a wonderful time, and it is worth the cost.
