Stayed at the Punta Regina while in Positano to attend my sister’s wedding. Staff and hotel grounds are beautiful, clean, and conveniently located. Had a large room which had a terrace with a hot tub and amazing view of the water. Will stay here again!

We loved our stay at the Punta Regina. From the first moment of booking, Francesca and the team were so helpful via email with all of our questions. We booked a standard room, which was much bigger than we expected! Only issue was some occasional...More
What a great hotel, the staff was so welcoming and caring! The roof top pool had a magical view of Positano and the bay. Great location in the middle of the village, with high rated restaurants close (tourist traps can be found in the harbour).
Our stay in this boutique hotel was definitely the highlight of our Amalfi Coast Tour. We literally regretted to only spend 2 nights in our new favorite place to stay in Positano!
We booked a Deluxe Special Room with Sea View, knowing that it was...More

We did a similar trip, Rome to Naples on the frecciarossa(fast train) then got on the circumvesuviana to Pompeii. Left our luggage in a secure storage while we were exploring and then got a private driver to the hotel. The first train was great, the second was probably one of the worst experiences we have had. There was standing room only and very packed, and very hot. The driver to Punta Regina was booked by Francesca at the hotel, and they were very professional and friendly. The drive was amazing and definitely worth it - convenience and view! For reference it was €110. Frecciarossa from Rome to Naples was €22.5 each and the train to Pompeii cost €2.8 each.

Yes, you will be able to walk to the hotel. The hotel is way up on the hill--you can walk the windy streets or find the steps that wind their way up. An option is to have the hotel send down people (they are not associated with hotel) to bring your suitcases bags up to the hotel so that you can walk more easily (steps not great for rolling suitcases!), pay for that, have your suitcases meet you there. I have to say I was a bit nervous until we actually got the bags, some time after we were checked in. But all was well and very typically what folks do when they are checking in and out. It's not a quick walk, but a cool one and not a problem if you like to walk in general. I'm so jealous that you're going! I would go back in a minute!!
