Detailed Reviews
Stayed 3 night in early April 2016. We had the whole property to ourselves. The views were AMAZING. We also took a bus (2 busses) to Bomerano and hiked the entire Path of the Gods which ends up at the villa which very convenient.
It was unclear to us prior to arriving if breakfast was included or how accessible food was. Breakfast is not included so prepare ahead of time. Have to walk to town if you do not want to prepare yourself.

We recently had a family get together in Villa Arienzo.... There were 7 of us and we stayed in villa no 2. It is a breath taking space with amazing views of Positano.
We had a huge living area that more than accommodated 7 adults comfortably. We had 2 balconies a smaller one on 1st floor and a huge balcony on the 2nd floor where Giovanni, the owner, organised a local restaurant to come and cook a meal for us all. He is a wonderful host who couldn't do enough for us, so helpful and obviously well respected in the locality, with a local supermarket who delivered to the apt at the mention of his name, the locals all seemed to know him and were more than willing to help us as guests at the Villa.
The villa itself was beautifully decorated with a large dining table, sideboards, piano, a games table, TV and all sorts of interesting art work and local ceramics just dotted here and there....If you get there see if you can spot the bronze bull sculpture hiding in the sitting room area!!!!
There was a washing machine and a dishwasher, and Giovanni had put shower gel, soap and even hair dryers in both bathrooms... There were plenty of towels for everyone which was really great. These little extras made the apt a real home from home and not the sterile rented space that holiday accommodation can be..... The bedrooms were clean and again beautifully decorated with local pieces of art etc, two of them opened onto the large 2nd floor balcony with amazing views..... There was nothing about this place that you could fault.
The local restaurants were fantastic especially Chez Black down at the sea front, highly recommended..........The boat trips to Amalphi and Capri were well worth it and the Capri trip was particularly good..... With the operators offering local pastries and drinks on the trip home.......One note of caution, if you are going to take a local bus, u must buy you ticket at a local shop, which we only discovered after standing at a bus stop for 25 mins, and couldn't get on the bus without the required ticket .....but it was a beautiful day with breathtaking views, not such a hardship! There r plenty of taxis most of who speak English and are full of local info which was great
I highly recommend this area of the Amalfi Coast and would advise you to stay with the lovely Giovanni in Villa Arienzo...... You will never want to leave.....

We stayed as a party of 4 in this Villa outside of the center of Positano in June/July 2019. Our Host Angela was warm, welcoming, friendly, very accommodating, and as kind as she could be. It is a small tidy 2 bed room apartment with magnificent views of Positano and the Tyrrhenian Sea from every window. Both bedrooms have lead to terrace over looking the town and the bay. During the days the enormous yachts of the super rich collect in the harbor and spread out their sea toys onto the perfectly still water. It is magical to watch. By night, the town sparkles up into the hillsides. The vistas are endless entertainment unto themselves. Getting here is a journey for people who are fit though..this is key. There are over 80 large stone stairs to the entrance from the street. 80 is a lot on a blistering summer day after a long walk up the hill from town. It is also a lot with your luggage when you first arrive. Even for people in good shape, we were winded by the time we reached the top. You have no choice but to climb these monster stair cases all over Positano anywhere you go pretty much. The closest beach to our Villa - Bangi Arienzo was more than 300 enormous stone steps down to the water. Fine going down - an olympic effort going back up after a day spent baking in the sun. HARD to do. Don't drink, but couldn't imagine doing it after cocktails. The cool thing about the beach is the cabana and club there. You pay for your chair and you can make reservations each day. Go to the bar and make friends the with the manager. He will give you his cell - then you can text him your time of arrival each day. He will have beach chairs reserved for you and table reservations inside the cabana for your lunch. This aint not sad American bar and grill at the beach either. The food is gorgeous. Fresh pastas, meats, seafood, parma ham and mozzeralla di buffala...very accommodating and friendly staff as well. They bring your drinks when youre lounging in the sun.
If you want to stay out of town and you are good with tons of stairs, this is a great location. Near enough to town to walk but not close enough to be in the middle of the madness. Opt for Grocery delivery per Angela's friends in town. Very helpful. The bus to town is unreliable - Italy...but it does come. tickets are a mess though. you cant pay on the bus you have to buy tickets in town, no one sells them - MESS. Taxis are ridiculously expensive. We have an amazing experience and loved our Villa and Angela, however if we were going back, we'd rent closer to town.

This is a stunning villa with all mod cons. Well positioned on the cliff side, overlooking the the bay and just outside Positano (15 minute walk). The villa is on two floors; downstairs is open plan, with a huge lounge area, leather settees, tv, dining area (seats 14), fully fitted kitchen/dish washer and washing machine and bathroom with toilet and shower. There is a small balcony. Upstairs, there are three double bedrooms. Two have access to a huge terrace with tables and chairs to seat more than 14. The views are spectacular and the terrace is semi covers to give shade.
There is also a superb bathroom and small kitchen area on this floor. Floors are marble throughout and the whole place is SPOTLESS. Towels, bedding, oven, crockery and cutlery sparkle. Has to be seen to be believed! Host left water, juice and fresh coffee for use as well as choice of liqueurs.Outside are several terraces with loungers and tables and a pool and gardens well tended and pretty.
Giovanni, the owner, is a real character and is exceedingly helpful - he is very well known and respected in the town. He can organise in-villa catering from restaurants, or arrange driver pick -ups from the restaurant of your choice. Follow his recommendations, they will not disappoint. He's a genuine host.
We cannot find ANY fault with this villa or the entire holiday.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED and would definitely return.

Set up above the coast road with amazing views, this stunning 3 bedroom villa/apartment is massive and immaculate. There is a beach within easy reach and Giovanni, the owner is a real character, who makes your stay even better than you thought possible, can arrange meals out or in, whatever you wish!

My partner and I stayed at Villa Arienzo in Positano from 27th July - 3rd August 2015, for our wedding that was taking part in Positano.
The villa was simply wonderful. Secluded enough to feel away from the busier parts of Positano but close enough that we could see the twinkling lights from our spectacular terrace area. The villa was filled with everything you would need and Giovanni the owner was the most helpful gentleman we have had the pleasure of meeting. He ordered food for us, gave us the name of a supermarket that would deliver to the door and even dropped us off into Positano for one of our meetings with the wedding planner.
The scenery and views were awe inspiring. The view at night time was particularly amazing. In short, if you are looking for something special and not your ordinary villa/hotel experience, this place is perfect and will enhance an already perfect location!

We booked to stay at Villa Arienzo as the second week of our honeymoon and stayed in the one bedroom apartment which is the top of the 3 villas. We were not disappointed- every part of the property was beautiful, topped off by the most stunning panoramic views from the terrace. There was also a swimming pool which again overlooked the Amalfi Coast. The owner of the property, Giovanni, seemed to be known and liked by all the locals, and couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. He even booked restaurants for us, organised shopping to be delivered and gave us lifts into Positano. We have stayed in some great places around the world and this was definitely up there as one of the best. Totally recommend staying here.
