2021 Travellers' Choice Best of the Best
Villa Magia Suites is the only of its kind on the whole of the Amalfi Coast, as one of the few properties which can be easily reached from the center of town, yet with unencumbered views over the Mediterranean and large indoor and outdoor spaces The original property was builded up in the 18th Century as one of the many watchtowers that former inhabitants of Amalfi Coast were used to build up to advise population of Saracens Pirate’s attacks. In the 20th century other 2 levels have been added, making of this villa one of the hugest properties in the very center of Positano. In 2015, after another 2 levels addition, we decided to share the beauty of our place turning the property into a luxury, smal and charming boutique Hotel. OUR STYLE: Villa Magia is a small luxury boutique hotel. We have only 12 rooms; that allows us to try to give the perfect service to our guests, also respecting their own privacy. Our happy and welcoming staff is available 24 hours a day 7 days a week for any kind of request you would need to be satisfied. It’s an innovative way to feel relationship between staff and guest, we want you to feel like in your house and we’ll try to do our best to experience our new way to make high quality tourism. Wow - the views, the service, the memories we created - Villa Magia was magic! We booked the last leg of our honeymoon trip at Villa Magia last minute and we had a lot of requests for the concierge. Communicating via WhatsApp was so quick and convenient and they managed to get absolutely everything booked during our four-day stay. From the private boat tour to Capri, and the in-house pasta-making class, and dinner reservations throughout the city. On arrival they give you an iPhone to communicate with the Live Concierge during the stay - why doesn't every hotel do this? It just makes sense! Breakfast on our terrace each morning was promptly delivered and delicious. We booked the room with the private pool, and it was worth every penny. The pool onlooking the colorful Positano city view, and the ocean, it was amazing! I enjoyed the location, it was a short walk to the city center and shopping but felt far enough away that we weren't in the thick of the tourist zone. Shout out to all of the Villa Magia team that made our stay so wonderful.

We stayed at this hotel in July 2020 and I promised to write a recommendation when we left. Never too late ! We spent 6 days at this hotel in a 70 sqm room with a breathtaking view on the city and sea. Everything was perfect: very friendly staff, eager to please the guests for every detail, a real 5 start service when you feel at home. We will certainly o back to this hotel !

If you are looking for top notch service and an amazing view, search no further than Villa Magia. Before the pandemic, my family and I meticulously combed through the reviews at all of the top hotels in Positano. Villa Magia stood out as one of the few establishments that was reasonably priced, offered stunning views, and had exemplary service. We originally booked our vacation for June of 2020, however Covid changed our plans. The hotel graciously offered us a voucher that exceeded the time limits required by law, and in June of 2021 we took advantage of that voucher. When we arrived at the hotel, our expectations were not only met, but were far exceeded. The views were stunning. No pictures could do it justice. We had been travelling all day, so the staff kindly set up a late dinner for us, and it was beyond impressive. The room: We booked a two bedroom suite with a terrace. The view from that terrace was breathtaking. The main bedroom even came with a huge bath tub that easily fit two people. The location: The hotel is located above the main beach, hence the stunning views. To get to the main drag, one can descend around 150 stairs, or go up a few flights of stairs and get a taxi or bus. The bus stop is conveniently located to the property. The staff: The best part of the hotel was the staff. Every single person we interacted with went above and beyond to provide us with exquisite service. One example, out of many, is the following: When we originally booked this trip in 2020 my father was not coming due to a conflict, however, after the trip was rescheduled, he was able to make it. The problem, unfortunately, was that he could not handle all the stairs in Positano due to his age, an out of season heat wave, and the fact that the cliffs of Santorini had taken a significant toll on his feet and stamina the week before. Unfortunately for us, there are a few flights of stairs involved every time one wants to leave, and in the case of our two bedroom suite, even when one wants to go to the pool or dinner. While this shouldn't be a problem for most people, his age, the weather, and his foot ailments prevented him from enjoying the property and the town. When the staff was made aware of the situation they immediately jumped into action and offered several options to help us out. They ended up changing our rooms to a location that was much better suited for a person who has difficulty walking, and entirely changed our experience in Positano. My family will be eternally grateful to the staff at Villa Magia for ensuring that we were able to enjoy ourselves as a family, and make great memories. Anyone who wants to come to Positano and stay somewhere with great views, great food, and even better people, should seriously consider Villa Magia. You will not regret it.

We picked Villa Magia for our short stay in Positano. The hotel and the rooms are even «more beautiful than on the pictures. We were amazed! We had a suite with the most beautiful balcony with a lemontree canopy and plenty of orchids, ferns and other lush plants, a hot tub and private hammam topped with the most beautiful sea-view and panoramas on Positano. Wonderful staff, we were treated as a king, spotlessly clean. Wonderful breakfast served on our private balcony. We also had diner on the terrace, great food, great service! One of the most beautiful and best hotels I ever stayer in, and I am a well travelled explorer… Keep up the good work and for the entire staff, thank you so much!!! Natasha & Filip, May 2021
