Luigi and family were some of the kindest, most hospitable people we’ve ever met. They went out of their way to be helpful and ensure we had everything we needed for ourstay. Their hotel is intimate and well cared for. Their meals are made with love and care, particularly the breakfast that was wonderful to wake up with each morning overlooking a beautiful view on an incredible rooftop balcony. We had our 3 year old with us and felt the family was always ready to assist with anything that would make our stay easier for her. I had several questions before I arrived and they answered quickly and thoughtfully. The location is about 15 minutes from Positano but with the car service provided by Luigi who takes you to the top of the Positano hot spot, it was never an issue. Luigi was always available with the car either to be dropped off or picked up and his daughter at the front desk was always incredibly responsive and helpful through WhatsApp and in person. We throughly enjoyed our stay and are grateful for the experience Luigi and family provided.

Hotel's Favourite
One of the longest running sitcoms in the US was a show called Cheers which had a theme song called 'Where Everybody Knows Your Name' that was voted best television theme song of all time. Its lyrics include those below which, in my humble opinion, best represent the experience at Hotel Pellegrino that so many other reviewers have written about: "Making your way in the world today Takes everything you've got Taking a break from all your worries Sure would help a lot Wouldn't you like to get away? ... Be glad there's one place in the world Where everybody knows your name And they're always glad you came You want to go where people know People are all the same You want to go where everybody knows your name" Luigi, his wife, and his three children have created a hospitality experience that is inviting and completely tuned to those fortunate enough to take heed of the reviews and enjoy it. This is a family that has been running, carring for, and investing in this hotel since Luigi's father started it over sixty years ago. They have all grown up serving its visitors and the love for what they do is clear in every interaction. From Luigi cracking a joke when he first greeted us, to Federico commandeering all sorts of restaurant / beach / boating recommendations, to Alyssa doting over our kids during breakfast, to the stories Luigi would share as he drove us all over, it is that warm, genuine, human connection that differentiates Hotel Pellegrino. Bravo Luigi and family. Thank you for the memories.

Upon my arrival to Hotel Pellegrino, the owner Luigi, said “Welcome home!” and boy was he right… I was at home. The staff at the Pellegrino makes you feel like family immediately. I’ve never felt so connected and welcome by a hotel team in my life. They are so sweet, generous, fun and responsive. They make you feel like you’re the only guest they’re hosting. The view from the room was spectacular and the room itself was incredibly clean. They had very comfortable memory foam pillows as well. The breakfast? Forget it!! So good! Fresh fruit, pastries, delicious eggs and bacon, crepes, juice and coffee. It was amazing. The cook, Luigi’s daughter, Daniela, is very talented. The dinner is so good - the lemon pasta, eggplant parm and lemon sponge cake was a frequent order of ours. Highly recommended!! She’s a doll and can really cook. Genarro - the bartender/waiter - he was a ton of fun! He had a wonderful playlist to dance to while making us the best Hugo spritz. His playful personality made me excited to hang with him each night. Such a joy! Luigi - the owner- he’s so sweet. He always made the effort to check on us and drove us to multiple restaurants and sites throughout our stay. Last but certainly not least - Alexia. She’s Luigi’s other daughter and is the front desk/concierge. She took care of almost all of our dinner reservations, transfers, always had ideas of what to do or where to go and responded incredibly fast via WhatsApp. A true gem! We stayed at another hotel near by for a couple of nights due to a mishap of booking on our part and although it had some extra amenities, it didn’t compare to the service and love we felt at Pellegrino. If you’re looking for a personalized, quiet visit to Amalfi Coast with options nearby of sights/activities - this is the place for you! I can’t wait to come back!

Best experience at a hotel ever! Luigi and his family are amazing hosts and they go out of their way to make you feel welcome and pampered! The entire hotel was sparkling clean, comfortable, and inviting. The views were spectacular. The included breakfast is so above and beyond anything you could imagine. Dinner was delicious as well! We loved visiting with Luigi and Alicia during meal services. Both were also incredibly helpful with travel arrangements and getting us where we needed to go. We will 100% return to Hotel Pelligrino. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Absolutely one of the best weeks of our lives! Highlight of our honeymoon! STAY HERE and EAT HERE!!! It’s hard to know where to start, blown away from the first arrival after a long drive. Service is 5 star without a doubt. Luigi and entire family who run this hotel are so wonderful.. the restaurant food was so good we ate all our dinners here. Breakfast is outstanding. Luigi dropped us off and picked us up along the other coastal towns as needed, much better than waiting in a bus line that’s for sure. We really cannot recommend this hotel enough, and we can’t wait to visit again.

Best Hotel I’ve stayed at in 40 years of traveling the world. 5 star hotel with only 3 star rating. Very pleasantly surprised. Family is exceptional—father, mother and 2 daughters treat you like royalty. Super service. Fantastic food. Chef Daniella is outstanding. Rooms beautiful and comfortable. Shower great. Bed very comfortable. Father will drive you to other towns in Amalfi coast. Not necessary to bring a car.

Exceptional stay. We had such an amazing time at Hotel Pellegrino. Everything was carefully catered, we received excellent service from all of the staff, from the recommandations at reception from Alessia, to the delicious food and attentions at the restaurant and finally the shuttle service which was so convenient. Hotel pellegrino is a perfect mix between a family business that strives for excellence. Thank you again to Luigi and his family. Highly recommend !

This place is exceptional. A wonderful Italian family feel. Highly traditional where nothing is too much trouble. From ferrying you up and down to different areas to booking restaurants and events for you. If you’re thinking of going to Amalfi, just stay here. Nowhere else will come close.

Go ahead and book. You won’t be regretting it. People here try their best in every way for you to have a great stay, i did not expect all the lengths they went to be able to help us in all our trip to have the best time and is only possible because they actually own the business and put the effort and love for it to be the best.
