This hotel is extremely basic. I would rate it 2.5 stars at best. Even though it’s called “Wall Art Hotel,” there is no decor on the walls and it is extremely dark and drab. The mattress was hard and and you could feel the springs. They only provided 2 thin, overused pillows. The shower is really small. Housekeeping did a pretty good job. No iron is in room, have to request it from reception and hope they have one available. No ironing board provided. The location is not ideal. Although there is a bus stop in front of hotel, apparently no bus lines use that stop so nearest active stops are 5-8 minutes walk away. Also, if going to Florence, you should know that the buses stop running after 9 pm so you will have to walk 1 mile to/from the train station in the dark. Overall, it was ok but I wouldn’t stay there again. …
A newer hotel, with a different layout.. The front desk was in the basement instead on the main flood. Breakfast was good, Rooms were big and clean. Staff acted like they didn't want to be there and were not friendly
If you like a dark room that offers only a little light then this place is for you. The staff was very nice. It was clean the did have towel warmers in the bathroom which was nice. If your just spending night it will do.
The Hotel had rooms and apartments both. We were with a group tour and got an apartment for stay. It was spacious and to some extent, it was OK. We were staying in one building and and for breakfast and dinner, we had to move in another building and this movement, we did not like at all. The dining space was worse. It looked like as if a garage had been converted into a dining space. It was smelling badly. The quality of food was also very bad. We were given this hotel, stating it to be of premium hotel category but it was not at all of that standard. It does not give a hotel feeling. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone.
Attention to detail and small improvements, such as updated bedding, could give this hotel a better rating. Also, we were told the room we had was a non-smoking room. It most definitely smelled like cigarette smoke.
Had a stopover here on our way to Florence. The apartment we had was spacious and clean. We had a good rest at night. No complaint. The breakfast had a good spread of choices, though not luxurious. The environment was quiet enough.
Had a few nights at this hotel! Let’s break it down! Rooms: were comfortable and spacious, well maintain and clean. The heater worked great! No problems in the cold winter of Prato. Breakfast: It was a good simple breakfast, can’t complain at all! The staff was nice. Location: To stay here you need a car! Or unless you want to pay taxi all the times. It’s about 5 minutes by car to the center, and it’s maybe a 5-minute walk to find some food. parking is available, so this is something good! Overall this place was decent I came back an will go back in the near feature to this hotel!
Great hotel. The lobby bar is overpriced but if you walk a few blocks out of the hotel you will find cafes that might suit you. This trip I discovered the hotel is actually very close to the Prato train station...very handy to getting into Florence quickly.
Stayed here from two nights. The room was very spacious, since these are converted apartments. Good location on a main corridor. Didn't like that the hall lights are motion activated and the elevators are small.
I booked Wall Art because of DEAL OF THE DAY and I didn't regret.I was so pleasantly surprised with this hotel...location is ok...quiet part of Prato but still close to the center. Very clean, well english-spoken reception staff, good wi-fi coverage, spacious rooms with "dining room"...Secured underground parking ! ! ! I would like to see better breakfast offer next time...
