We had our daughter's wedding here in October, and it was a wonderful experience. With the help of Ravello Events, we planned a small wedding for our group of 34 family and friends. The day of the wedding arrived, and our original plans for an outdoor wedding had to be changed due to the weather. They moved the ceremony to their covered patio-- we were still able to have a beautiful setting overlooking the Amalfi coast, despite some rain! They served the perfect wedding dinner for our guests--the table was lovely, and the food was delicious! We cannot say enough kind things about the hotel staff--they were always helpful and accommodating. The hotel is in a great location, off the town square and next to Villa Rufolo, and the bus stop is literally across the street--making it very easy for our guests to either stroll the streets of Ravello, or travel to other locations along the coast, during their time in Ravello.
Hotels in Ravello can be pricey. However, the Garden hotel was offered at a reasonable price that included a lovely breakfast. My husband and I stayed only one night during a side trip to Ravello recently; however, we would have certainly been comfortable staying longer.
Just steps away from the square, with incredible views from our room and the rooftop bar which offered excellent snacks and lunch at reasonable prices.
The staff was incredibly helpful and presented us with a bottle of wine and a ceramic wine stopper upon our departure.
We enjoyed our four-day stay and wished it were a week or two! Though we could not spring for a room with a perfect view, the pool we lounged around and the breakfast dining area gave us access to breathtaking beauty! Our room was immaculate and very comfortable. The breakfast buffet well laid and was delectable!
What a fab hotel in a spectacular location! Although the rooms are slightly dated the hotel felt much better than a 3 star. Staff, restaurant drinks and service all great. The reason I have scored the hotel as average is because my husband and I were completeing our busy tour of Amalfi with 4 days of peace and quiet relaxing in Ravello. We read the reviews and were expecting a quiet pool area in which to read, sleep and relax. However, each day we found the pool area to be very noisy with children. The first few days two boys were running, splashing jumping and dominating the pool and they did not appear to have any adults with them for the whole day. It was awful but because the pool area is small there was no getting away from squealing and noise. We love kids, have kids and I work with kids but the reviews of the hotel did not give the impression that it would be anything but a quiet retreat. For us, the hotel pool area was too noisy and for that reason, we would not return.
