Detailed Reviews
Angelo and Fiorentina are the perfect hosts. Angelo knows everything about the area. He guided us on how to get the most from our three days of skiing. The hotel is brand new and lovingly taken care of.
Given our misadventure due to a wrong turn in the middle of what turned out to be a three-day snow storm, we arrived later than we anticipated. Angelo and his wife Fiorentina helped the five of us bring in all the gear and luggage for three days of skiing. They were expecting us. They asked about our dinner plans. They called the restaurant for us. No problem. Angelo knows everyone in the area. And everything about the area. The hotel is three years old. It is gorgeous. Stone and wood. Villeroy & Boch bath fixtures. Beautiful, but not pretentious. The hotel is even more beautiful in person. The pictures do not do it justice. Every detail is thought of. There is a ski room to store your gear. And it is heated. Angelo pipes heat into the lockers so that your gloves, helmet and ski boots are warm and dry for the next day. It also keeps your room much tidier. Very nice touch. I communicated with Angelo prior to our arrival. He was extraordinarily helpful with regard to the Alto Sangro ski area. He told me all about the mountain, where to park, where to rent gear, where to eat lunch etc etc. Everything we needed to know to get the most out of our three days on the hill. By the third day of snow, our rental car was out of its league. Angelo arranged for a 4x4 Van to take us and other guests to the mountain. That is Angelo and Fiorentina.
The breakfast is all home made. Cornetti, Ciambaline, cake, cookies. All amazing. Excellent coffee. After a day of skiing or after dinner, we were invited to share an aperitivo, digestivo, hot chocolate or coffee with Angelo and Fiorentina. Our kids looked forward to it everyday. We felt like we were staying with an Aunt and Uncle in their gorgeous ski house.

Truly hospitable environment, brand new structure, very clean, super comfortable rooms, family management, we were there with children and despite the bad weather they helped us not to let them get bored. Well-assorted breakfast with sublime homemade desserts or even products made by them, easily reachable from the main road. Owners really hospitable people.

Enchanting and well-kept structure, with attention to the smallest details. Cozy, clean, nothing out of place. The owner and her daughter were very kind and friendly, with whom it was truly a pleasure to have a chat. Breakfast also gives you a sense of family, with classic homemade desserts. In short, worth trying again, perhaps in winter with snow.
Ps: in the evening (in August) it reaches 12 degrees, come equipped!
