My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Reale for 5 days in March for a ski course in which our children participated. The hotel is inside Roccaraso and has a shuttle service to the slopes. It has a convenient location, close to a car park and a playground; it is quiet and clean. The management and staff are helpful and very courteous. The context is familiar, but not at the expense of professionalism. Excellent breakfast and cuisine, although in the low season the choice is limited it is possible to make requests to the chef who does his best.

We stayed for a weekend (2 nights) in this highly recommended hotel, where we did not notice any particular defects. The advantages however are many: courtesy, cleanliness, spacious rooms and excellent food. In addition, shuttle service to the slopes (Sundays excluded) and also afternoon miniclub service with evening baby dance. Considering that it is not at all expensive, in proportion to the other hotels in the area... we couldn't ask for anything better!

We stayed the carnival week (February 2024) at the royal hotel. We have 2 girls aged 5 and 7. The hotel has a very convenient location, it is clean and quiet. The food is good, the staff is very friendly. The context is really very familiar, the relationship created with the other guests is also like this. The only flaw is the animation. The Christian animator is a very good guy but without any initiative towards the children. He explained to me that it is not his sector of work and therefore in the afternoon no activities were organized to entertain the children at the miniclub. Even at carnival it would have been nice to organize a themed party or something for our children. I report this critical issue to the hotel so that it can take care of it for next year as the mini club service is very useful given that there is no skiing in the afternoon.

We had dinner at the restaurant of this hotel on the weekend of the epiphany. Couple with children aged 2 and 6. We were served two plates of spaghetti with tomato sauce, a stracciata romana (scrambled egg in broth) and a portion of packets Genovese (cold). For second course two portions of pork arista and a cheese platter with honey (number 6 slices of cheese far from excellence). All seasoned with a bottle of water and a bottle of beer (peroni). Account: 120 euros. Pointed out to the lady that the bill was at least expensive considering the presence of a two-year-old boy who barely ate pasta with sauce, we were told that he could not do anything, the bill is equally 30 euros per person. To be said that the menu did not show prices of the dishes. Plucking customers in this way is really unprofessional for a hotel that boasts a presence- over decades in the area. Never again.

Family-run hotel, well-kept, clean and welcoming environment in typical mountain style; Abundant and delicious breakfast, beautiful rooms and very comfortable beds! Friendly, helpful and always friendly and smiling staff. A really nice Spa that offers many treatments in an intimate and expertly furnished environment is a gem. Truly recommended in the beautiful context of Roccaraso, in the center and adjacent to a nice playground and close to clubs and shops. Good choice!

I went with my family for a bit of half term skiing in Feb and couldn't have been happier here. The staff were very friendly and went above and beyond to make sure that we had everything we needed. Our grasp of Italian isn't anything to boast about and not many people speak English. That would definitely have been a problem had it not been for the owners daughter, guilia helping us with all our questions and other things like translating the menu and so on. She couldn't have been more helpful.
The food and wine were of a very high standard but the cost of our full board stay was very reasonable. When on the mountains, they have a deal with a few restaurants wherenyoumcan have lunch there as part of your f/b package, which is very convenient.
Free shuttle bus to and from mountains.
This hotel is very family friendly laying on entertainment for the kids at night which they all seem to love. There is also a spa downstairs which provides some great treatments including own of the best sport massages I've ever had.
The staff here are exceptional.
It was also very clean. The cleaners were doing the rounds when we were at breakfast.

We had a great time, clean rooms, great restaurant and entertainment for children and families very pleasant... a special thanks to the animators Manuel (very nice) and Gabriele (a treasure and sweet with children).... a hotel to recommend! I would only recommend to better organize the shuttle to the slopes that does not travel on days of dj party... for a future stay in Roccaraso we will definitely return here
