We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights. The reception staff are very friendly and speak English. Breakfast is good for this hotel ranking in Italy. There are 3 * hotels in Italy that trzing to save quite a bit on food. This is not the case with this hotel. The room was with a balcony overlooking the restaurant. It was semi-clean. Cleaners clean the floor and change the sheets, but let's say there was a lot of dust on the TV. Our room had a mini bar which is good as many 3 * hotels do not have a mini bar. The hotel is located across the beach which is not something because it is by the marina so it cannot be said that it is too clean. The location of the hotel is very good. San Remo is not too big so you can get there really fast everywhere. A couple of supermarkets are located near the hotel.

If you are looking for a Mandarin on the Sanremo harbor, this is not your place. We just came from a week or so in a fabulous chalet we rented in the Alps and our entire room at the Marinella wasn't much bigger than the master bath in the Alps. But the room was clean and our balcony looks right over the harbor. Breakfast (included) is served next door and includes first rate cappuccini. There is a machine where you can make your own. Don't. Order from the waitress. The fare is nothing spectacular but gives you a good start on your day. Book a ocean view. The ocean view rooms on the top floor are larger and the deck is bigger. The rooms are air conditioned. I like the place. It is kinda old and the rooms are kinda small, but the staff is great, friendly, and accommodating, the rooms are clean, and the location is terrific. Hard to beat the price. Parking is available but limited. Book in advance if you need it.

The hotel is simple, but clean and comfortable. The location is perfect for anyone with business in the marina. The staff was very helpful and attentive. I would definitely stay there again. (We made good use of there private parking which was convenient and reasonably priced.)

It was the height of the holiday season and this popular resort was full. I found the Marinella on line and was grateful it had a vacancy. I booked in and was pleasantly surprised at the helpfulness of the English speaking staff they even had a space for my car in their paid for garage The hotel was super clean and the room was well equipped and beds comfortable. It had a restaurant attached and the food was delicious. I was very pleased to have stayed there.

We stayed one night, the reception staff were lovely. The room although compact was perfect for a one night stay. Location on the water front with lots of great Cafes for coffee and breakfast just a few minutes walk away. Close to town square and the train station. Would recommend for a place to rest

We stayed 3 nights at Marinella Hotel. The Hotel's location is very Comfortable. It's very near to train station and bus station. But the rooms were not very clean. Air condition was very old fashioned and we didn't turn it on. If you prefer good location you can stay there.

We stayed here as a stopover for one night and were put in a room at the rear of the hotel. Whilst clean and with room for 5 people (2 adults and 3 children), the room was very noisy - both from another property immediately behind the hotel and also surrounding rooms. On the positive side, the staff were friendly and immediately attended to a faulty fridge in the room and breakfast was very good.

Location is a good reason in itself to stay here. Beach just across The road, 2 minutes to The Supermarket. It is a quiet area, but still close to The city's centre. We stayed 4 nights. First 2 nights at The top floor. It was ok, but no more than ok. Low celing and poorly washed floor. The last night we Asked for sea-view. Slitghtly better standard, but less space. Lovely view from The terrace. Breakfast was poor. Mostly cookies, kakes, croassaint and other sugary stuff. (Which i dont eat). But there was boiled eggs, ham/cheese and tomatoes. And slices of bread.

I recently spent two nights at Hotel Marinella. This family owned and operated hotel is situated on the main road (Via Ruffini), paralleling the sea. The building is relatively new and common areas, small as they were, were clean. One must struggle with luggage up a flight of seven stairs leading from the street into the hotel lobby. A bus tour group of travelers from India arrived one evening while I was here and the scene of getting luggage in was quite sad. The one tiny elevator was inadequate to accommodate all of the arrivals. I had a room located on the third floor that had a small walkout balcony looking to the beach. Via Ruffini is a very busy road, starting early in the morning until the late night hours. The traffic noise from this road made sleeping difficult. Additionally, late night noise from a near-by club was disturbing as well. Noise from the hallway outside my room and from adjacent rooms was disturbing, as was the barking dog in a room on another floor. My room was clean and it contained all that one would expect to find in a hotel of this three star level. The small bathroom had a walk-in shower with good water pressure. Plumbing fixtures were new and all functioned properly. The bath towels were large and there was a sufficient amount of hand towels. Housekeeping did not replace used towels from my first night with fresh ones. Nor were the bar soap and shower gel replaced. There were no facial tissues and no replacement for the one roll of toilet paper. The bed was firm and the linens were adequate. Air conditioning worked well, keeping the room quite cool during the day. The flat screen TV only offered Italian programming with no international news available. Hotel Marinella has a restaurant adjacent to the hotel where guests with either half or full pension could dine. I had lunch from a fixed menu on the first day and food was just okay, nothing to write home about. Prices were reasonable for San Remo. The morning breakfast was okay as well, having a good selection of breads, fruit and pastries. I did laugh at the serving tray of cold scrambled eggs. Service was friendly both during my lunch and breakfasts. Hotel Marinella offers competitive pricing. So many other hotels in San Remo are old and have seen better days. The hotel is not handicap patron friendly. There is a ramp for wheelchair access around the side of the building, but the small elevator is a challenge. I paid for parking in the hotel's garage, which is also located around the corner. This was worth the price as parking in San Remo is challenging. Your hotel room comes with passes to a reserved area for hotel guest on the beach. Lounge chair were available and the beach was very nice. All in all, I would return to Hotel Marinella rather than experimenting with other hotels in San Remo.
