This is exactly the kind of hotel you dream of staying at on the Italian Riviera. Sumptuous and luxurious, it even has complimentary umbrellas in the entrance lobby for when it rains. Our room was wonderful, large and well appointed with a view to one side of the sea from the balconies. Plenty of space for everything plus a room safe. And unlike many continental hotels there was a kettle plus assorted teas and coffees in the room. The breakfast room is spectacular, large and beautifully decorated and with a sea view and the choice at breakfast is excellent. Definitely a great place to stay in Sanremo.

Hotel's Favourite
This is our favourite place in Sanremo! We love the fantastic & friendly staff, who hasn't changed over the years, their 2 spectacular private spas and the treatments their amazing beauty therapist Alessia provides, the palatian breakfast (now converted into a covid-friendly buffet). The direct view over the sea from the rooms, and the scenic elevator ride overlooking the beautiful orthodox church next door. The location is easy access on foot to some of the best restaurants, cafés and markets in town plus the waterfront is literally 2 minutes away. Book through the hotel directly for the best deals!

We came on a whim staying in 2 junior suites. 1st floor had a great balcony. 4th floor had small windows no balcony. Very quiet hotel especially how close to water and center town it was the bed was terrific. And that the elevator was right outside our door never heard it. Only have 4 stars since it was a little dated inside... but that's just a taste issue. One issue... there are steep stairs into the hotel which made it very hard for my 86 year old mother in law.

Together with my husband we had the signature massage. Did not expected to be so disappointed: the oil was supposed to be hot, but instead was cold. The room was cold. But what stroke me most was the lack of experience and kindness from the girl doing the massage. To start with, she did not ask anything (I speak Italian fluently, this was not the problem). I would have expected to be asked about the pressure of the massage, am I cold … nothing at all. Then when I finally asked for a towel to be covered as I was cold, she just ignored my request. I thought this was personal at first, but then my husband had the same bad experience. Do not recommend. It’s a pity for such a nice hotel.

Beautiful hotel with unbelievable views over the Med. Our junior suite had a small balcony that you can sit out on and enjoy the views. It did look out over a very busy road, but the shutters that electronically worked from inside the room cut out a lot of the noise at night. Our room was spotless and the housekeepers did a fabulous job. It’s also nice seeing a return to full service hotels, beds made every day and toiletries replenished. Breakfast was a buffet however, the waitress picks up all the food and brings it to your table. You are simply choosing your breakfast. Very safe indeed. Quick mention to the lady who did breakfast when we were there, dark hair tied back in a short pony tail. She was fabulous and a real asset to the hotel!

We chose this hotel since we were mainly interested in having dinner the Michelin star restaurant Paolo e Barbara. The hotel has made an agreement with this restaurant and it is actually a very good idea. I experienced excellent service starting with reservation: they were kind, flexible and found a good solution for my budget. My room was really beautiful (I got a free upgrade with a room with sea front view and double balcony), just refurbished, very large with incredible view. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom modern and spacious with everything you need. The breakfast room is amazing with a lot of light and great view. Food was great with fresh fruit, homemade cake and all the rest you may want for breakfast

We decided to stay in San Remo on a whim, which meant going old-school that morning, ringing around various hotels. Most were dismissive, telling us they were full (which we highly doubted, given the vast drop off in tourist numbers in September 2020) and being generally unhelpful. That all changed when we reached Cristina at the Hotel de Paris - she was immediately warm, welcoming and exceptionally professional. Within a few hours, we were sitting on a glorious terrace overlooking the water, enjoying la dolce vita from one of the most beautiful suites in the city. By calling the hotel, we were able to get a much better overall package, and take advantage of the hotel's many extras, including a private beach, bicycle hire and on-site spa. The hotel is quiet, elegant and perfectly positioned for access to the beach, cycle track and old town, and yet away from the hubub of a city. The staff at all times were just superb: more than willing to go the extra mile, and with a friendly smile too. The ladies in housekeeping ensured our room was immaculate every day, and we had no doubts whatsoever about the safety and hygiene of the hotel. We had to work a great deal during our stay, and the strong wifi and soundproofed rooms proved ideal. All in all, this felt like a wonderful echo of times past: a truly luxurious vacation experience, in which your every need is catered for, and all that is left to do is relax in the timeless elegance of a glamorous 19th century hotel. Many thanks to Cristina for being so welcoming on the phone that morning - she is the perfect ambassador for a rather special hotel.

Loved this hotel. Great value for money. Dogs are welcome and we loved the whole place. The staff were lovely to us and most welcoming. We were even upgraded to a junior suite with view of the sea. Breakfast was excellent and a generous variety. Staff in the beautiful dining room were kind and friendly. Definitely stay here again.

Most horribel experience ever! staff ignorant and the reception staff is rude. Decissions aremade a la tête du client. When we checked we were told that the price per night for our dog was 50€ and we could take our dog with is to breakfast. I never asked cause this according to Italian law. next morning we were treated very rudely because we arrived with our dog/ no dogs allowed at the breakfast!?When we we to to the reception the girl was not there but we were told (again without asking g)that had to pay 35€ a night for our dog. In the afternoon , the same girl that checked us in was there again Ann denied he ever saud we could take our dog to breakfast but (again unsolicited said the price for our dig was 15€ a night (so from 50€a night to 15€a night in less hen 24 hours).I told her about Italian legislation and was told we don't care about the law, we make our own law !?! Although they have bell for valet parking service when I asked for it I got an answer that they are a 4 star hotel en there is no 4 star hotel in the world with valet parking service. The girl waved in the direction on het right and said go and park yourself!. Bathrooms are horrible and date from the 1960! Shower floor is slippery so I only risked once to take a shower for a 3 day visit. Wifi does not work at all! When I told the ij te morning I got the message that the Wifi key they give at check in does not work at all and they gave me another on. When that one did mot work either I was told that is was due to fact I have all apple devices and they have louse security??? Apple devices never work here !?!
