I walked to the hotel with a wheeled suitcase and a small daypack and got there from the railway station within about 13-14 minutes thanks to Google Maps. It was fairly easy to find. It is situated just 100 metres from the main shopping street/pedestrian precinct. a couple of hundred metres from the nearest beach and easily within walking distance from there. It's also close to the cycling/walking trail along the old converted railway rack that takes you along the coast and is really nice. Bars and restaurants in the dozens within a minute or two's walk from the hotel. The marina is also close and the shorefront cafes etc. Check-in was fast and easy and done with a smile and helpful information provided. The bedroom (triple room) was of a significant size and had a king-sized bed and a single bed in it as well as a writing desk and chair and two other armchairs. Shower in the bathroom was not the biggest, but unless you're very big, it's not an issue. Kettle and tea provided as well as mini-bar in the room and the internet (wifi) was both reliable and fast. Shower gel provided in the bathroom and adequate towels etc. The room had individual air-conditioning which worked very, very well, the bed was comfortable and there is a tiny safe in the room. However note that although the safe is big enough for a passport and some documents/money/cellphone.....it's far too small for a laptop computer or a DSLR camera. Breakfast consisted of a buffet with fresh fruit, cereals, yoghurt, croissants, bread rolls, other pastries and cakes, cold meat, cheese and scrambled eggs and bacon. All tasted good. The coffee from the machine was not good, so instead.....ask the staff to make you a cappuccino and they will. Reception is on the 4th floor and there is a lift which is small, it can take one person with a suitcase but it's fine. There is a desktop computer for use in a lounge area and there is also a common terrace with seating should you want to sit outdoors with a beer or wine from their bar. The staff during my three days were all friendly and helpful (reception, breakfast and the roomkeeper) and the hotel is very clean throughout. I thought this hotel was great value for money and would have no hesitation in booking it straight away if I return to SanRemo. I'm not going to waste time even trying to think of any genuine negatives because I didn't think of any when staying there!…
Impeccabky Clean Perfect location Great value for money Service-minded personnel Italian hospitality Nothing negative to say about this place Stunning Sea view Close to sea and pedestrian Street Big comfortable bed Fridge in the room Bedding and towels changed every day
The hotel is situated 50m from the sea and 50 m from the pedestrian zone of Sanremo (Via Matteotti), making it a perfect location for all those who want to go sightseeing as well as those wishing to spend more time on the beach. The room we stayed in (for one night) is a 4-bed room, very spacious and clean. It had a huge terrace overlooking the sea. The staff were very kind and helpful. We were able to choose what we would like to have for breakfast, and it was really delicious. Definitely a good value for money! I'd recommend this hotel to everyone going to Sanremo.
I was very happy with this property, the room was very comfortable, and the breakfast was ample. The location meant I could walk every where, down to the sea side, only minutes away, into the old part of town very handy spot.
It's a very good hotel located in the city center, 5 mins away from sea and beaches. Two supermarkets, all shops and restaurants are just a few mins away. The hotel offers a very delicious breakfast, we were satisfied with everything. The room with sea view was big enough for a family with a small kid. It has quite a big balcony. No problems with wi-fi. Special thanks to the friendly staff!!!
The Room given not as per pictures... (triple I stead of quadruple) No parking (or at high price, 20 euros per day if I remember well...) Not a luxurious hotel Clean, good location, good breakfast and friendly staff.
We stayed here for four nights and it was very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent and the service was very good. The staff are very friendly and it is a great location, close to beaches and shopping area.
Very nice hotel in the center og Sanremo. Nice rooms, nice view, good service, very good breakfast. After 5 days of walking between the villages in the Ligurian mountains, this was a good place for us 4 well grown ladies to rest.
We stayed a night at this central San Remo hotel before taking the train to Nice. The rooms are small but comfortable, and the location is great for shopping, dining and sightseeing. The hotel manager suggested that we dine at Mare Blu, just a few minutes walk. It was the best meal that we had in five weeks in Europe. Guests should be aware that parking near the hotel is well-nigh impossible, even to drop off suitcases, and the hotel doesn't have any porters to help take bags to the reception several floors above street level.
Very conveniently placed for the sea front where you can rent cycles and use the off road cycle track all along the coast in both directions. We had a nice room overlooking the sea with a balcony just large enough for two chairs. Good breakfasts and helpful and friendly staff. Yes, I would recommend this hotel.
