Fantastic view from our rooms balcony. Standard was in need of renovation. Price however reflecting that you get what you pay for. Ok for a stay over 1 night. Breakfast was ok but choices was very limited. It is quite far from Sanremo. If you like beaches however there was one just on the other side of the road.

Just opposite a lovely little, golden sandy beach, we got the bus into San Remo for just a few euros. That is, when we weren't sunbathing. Our terrace faced the sea and the room was clean and comfortable. Leila ( don't know if I've spelled that correctly ) and Isabella, on reception were very helpful and spoke English better than I speak Italian !

The hotel is composed of two small "Villas". The balcony was practicaly above the sea (only the street was in between) and the view was absolutely fantastic. A tram/bus station is exactly in front of the hotel and for 1.5€ per trip per person you can travel to Sanremo city center, in about 10-15 minutes. The hotel has also a private beach (only cross the streat) but also a free one (at 5 minutes walking distance). Both of them are with stones. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and with a great variety. The staff was amazing, helpful and cheerful and the host spoke fluently also Englisch and French. She is amazing and full of energy! The room was quite small, without fridge and old furniture but clean. The parking is also ok. The air conditioning was working also ok.

Misleadingly Advertised as being adjacent to the cycle route but this is the other side of the very busy main road with very fast cars and trolley buses busy through the night. Pictures are of the town hall not this hotel. Room poorly maintained. Shower very dirty hose split and leaking toilet sticking on flush. Plastic folding doors to bathroom, three hooks sticking out the wall around the pillow area of bed with a bit of tape put over them but still dangerous. Very stingy with the coffee at breakfast 1 tiny expression

The room is a good value with a great view of the ocean and a balcony for the money. Staff are very accommodating and go out of the way to be helpful. Beautiful view of the ocean as we where just across the street but lots of street noise from a very busy street. The shower had great water pressure with lots of hot water but the shower was small and the water did not drain well. The room was of adequate size but the walls are thin and you can hear noise from your neighbors. The hotel has an old movie set feel which gives it a fun character, breakfast was also included in the cost of the room, not huge, but again adequate. I'm giving it a 4 as most rooms at this price point would not provide this good of a room, view, breakfast, or great staff.

We absolutely loved this family run hotel especially for the attention of the people that are the owners. Very good welcoming and great standards keep it like that. The rooms are very spacious true a bit poor in furniture but they are at the beginning of they adventure on the hotel industry. The bed very comfortable we had a good sleep. The restaurant is great, the chief is putting is soul in the clients plates. Good job. Unfortunately we had to leave one day early for family reasons but we will definitely visit again this wonderful place. Good job to all the team of this place your wonderful people. Cat and Gerry

Me and two friends of mine stayed at Sanremo for 10 days and decided to stay at the Hotel "Villa La Brise". Well, if you researched a little about the - especially in the 1960`s - famous city of flowers at the italian rivieira-coast, you will get to see, that the Villa la Brise still has the charmes of the typical architecture of those glamourous and noble days, when Sanremo had its peak in tourism (for rich people espescially). The hotel looks very nice from the outside and has a nice garden that invides to stay and just watch the ocean with a glass of wine. Everything is clean and this impression keeps on going when you take a look inside the Hotel. Dont get me wrong here: if you expect a high quality 3 to 4 stars hotel like a Sheraton or so, this hotel is not for you. As said in the intro, this Hotel is overflowing with the charms of the 60`s and is so beautiful typically Italian. Same goes for the rooms. They are nice, but also a bit vestigial. You will find some cracks in the walls etc. but that`s just normal for a building with this history. My bed was huge (i had a solo room) and comfortable. All rooms have air conditioning and silent proofed windows (which really are needed, cause the hotel is on the via aurelia and there is loud traffic even at night. For us it was totally managable thanks to the windows and the air conditioning). My friends had a room for two and were also very happy with it. The hotel has some absolutely astonishing rooms if u want to have a almost fantasticall view over the ocean. Some rooms have windows (like mine) where you cant really see anything - But thats also normal and we had a great pricing. One little aspect: Cool down ur room once to 18 degrees C° because the air condition is a little bit loud. After this, you will have a great rest and sleep. Also try the coffee there: They made the best cappucino we ever had in italy --> I travel there since 13 years. I cant say anything to the regular breakfast etc., because we didnt book it. The Service is exceptional. This Hotel is run by only a hand full of people who are really dedicated to their job and really friendly and helpful. Dont worry because of a lack of italian skills. Most people their can speak english and even german. They gave us great insider tipps to Sanremo (where to eat, buy good wine, what to visit) etc. Just ask them! If u are friendly, they will be, too. Also one time, there was a cook visiting the hotel and we had a really great dinner for a really good price. I HIGHLY recommend to try this during your stay. It was easily the best food we had in Sanremo. Another positive feature is, that the beach is literally a rockthrow away from the hotel. But keep in mind, its a public one, so you will have to pay around 10 Euros for a stay per day. (Little tipp: If u drive down the Via Aurelia in direction to Alassio, the beach gets nicer and nicer and its only an hour and a half of driving). Sanremo is a port city --> not like rimini for example. The port is really nice, same goes with the city and the many special places (like villa nobel for example). To walk there, you have to plan with around 30 minutes walking or 5 to 10 minutes with the bus, which stops directly next to the hotel. But who doesnt like a nice walk next to the beautiful ocean there? So long story short: If you have a feeling for some italian, nostalgic atmosphere, the Villa La Brise is a perfect stay for you. Me and my friends really consider coming back to the hotel at least once more. And thats more for the hotel then for Sanremo itself. I guess that says enough. Highly recommended!

Situated just a short drive/walk from the town centre, loved this place. I think one could desribe it as rustic, or authentic. A modern hotel, it is not. But it is clean, superb location and friendly family run staff. The hotel is situated right by the main road, so if you are affected by noise, bring your own ear plugs or ask for a room which does not face the road. In the first room we were given, the air con didn't work, so we were moved to the room next door. We ate here too, The seafood dinner menu was unbelievably delicious! They also have an outside seating/dining area, so even if you dont eat, you can sit out at night drinking some Aperol spritz and listening to the sea! The beach is literally a stones throw away, right opposite the hotel. There is a public beach or a private place with sunbeds which can be rented. We did the latter. Apparently, there are only a certain amount of beds which can be rented even if many are not being used. Others which are unoccupied, have 'owners' which pay up to EUR 1,000 a year to have them reserved. But this private place has the advantage of having it's own steps leading straight into the sea and swimming depth water. Would stay here again for sure. Hope you found this useful.
