Detailed Reviews
Me and my partner stayed at this beautiful self service b&b, and contrary to the ignorant review below, we had the loveliest stay.
We were met the owners mother, who spoke wonderful english and as we speak no Italian she was fantastic at giving us all the information we needed for our self service stay. We had a slight issue with the hot water in our shower, contacted her and she immediately sorted the issue for us.
The elevator can easily fit 2 people, and the 5th floor isn’t a struggle to walk up to.
The room itself is a perfect size, unbelievably clean and cleaned every morning for return in the evening. A small balcony with an incredible view of mount vesuvius, capri and naples over the small reach of sea.
There’s a small bus yard next to the room, i’ll disagree with the review below and say it’s hardly disruptive at all, especially if you’re only in the room morning and night. There’s a lovely bell tower that rings on the hour just next to the room and gives for a sweet wake up call!
The self service breakfast area is small and not much to eat, a great coffee machine that does a good job, but with restaurants for a good €5 breakfast a 5 minute walk away, there’s no need.
I would highly recommend a stay here, perfect for travellers happy to jump on a train for a 2 minute train journey to sorrento. Train station is also a 5 minute walk and some beautiful cafe’s and shops just next door.
Safe travels!

This is an excellent self-service Bed&Breakfast! We spent two nights here, and had a great time. The owner’s mother contacted us before our arrival, and sent us all the necessary information—trains and train tariffs, restaurants, maps, etc. She is very pleasant and kind. The whole place appears to be run quite professionally, very clean (I have high standards) and felt extremely safe. We followed the owner’s mother’s suggestions and had a great experience. The lobby offers self-service tea and coffee, and other things one might need, such as umbrellas (in case it rains) are also available there. Our room was spacious and clean, and the bed was comfortable. Our balcony had a nice view too. The town itself is well situated—close to Sorrento (about 25 mins by walk or 5 mins by train), and a bit more than an hour by train to Napoli. Unlike Sorrento, it is possible to see more of the locals’ daily lives. Overall, we had a great experience and stay in this B&B—it is close to the railway station and close to restaurants. We loved it and would go back if we revisit the area.

Mariella welcomed us and showed us all the facilities. We had an excellent view of the hills and town from our balcony. The room was spotlessly clean and had all one would need for a relaxing stay. The location is a minutes walk from restaurants and bars and beside the Church in Sant'Agnello. Buses take you in to Sorrento in a few minutes (tickets available in the Tabac in the Sq.). Overall a great stay and highly recommended.

New structure, clean, comfortable and excellent location. Mrs. Mariella is a friendly, helpful person ready for every need. We had a very great time. Structure 1.5km from Sorrento with all services very close at lower prices than Sorrento itself.

Great, clean room with a great view. The rooms are large and spacious. The host is very friendly and helpful! I think the location is great because I find St. Angello more pleasant than the city of Sorrento. With good restaurants and nice sky bars in the area!

We spent three nights at this lovely B&B. Our room had a splendid view of the sea from the spacious balcony. It is located close to the church and bus stop and train station. Very clean. New. Well-maintained.
Our following small suggestions that can help to improve further have been already communicated to Mr Davide:
1. Provide sliced bread so that toaster may be utilised.
2. Provide butter.
3. Provide milk/creme sachets and keep these in the room fridge for the milk from the machine is not of desired quality.
4. Provide a soap dish in the shower stall.
Overall, a great experience!

We were very excited to find a modern, clean place in Italy — hotels like that can be very hard to come by here! Super clean linens, spotless bathrooms, air conditioning, and comfortable beds.
Davide was extremely accommodating and went out of his way to help us. He’s a fantastic business owner.
Go ahead and book this hotel if you are looking in the Sorrento area. You’ll enjoy your stay!

We have just returned from a fantastic one week holiday based in Sirocco Suites Sant’Angelo.
I have visited many fine hotels over many countries over the years but have never felt compelled to write a review until now.
I booked our stay directly on Sirocco website and later contacted them to arrange transfers from Naples airport, Davide contacted me promptly with a very reasonable quote. Unfortunately our flight was delayed and our ETA was after the normal check in time (please bear in mind that there are only 5 rooms so they can’t justify 24 hr reception) I contacted Davide who stayed in contact with me during our transfer from Naples and traveled from his home to meet us at Sirocco.
Check in was very smooth and we were shown to our room which to our surprise had a balcony, Davide told us that we would have a sea view and view of Vesuvius in the morning, we did not expect this for the price we paid.
The following morning we met Davide’s brother Stefano who told us to contact him if we needed any help during our stay (providing his mobile number just in case). He recommended a restaurant in Sorrento (Ristorante Tasso)which had coincidentally been recommended to my wife a few days earlier. A few days later we came upon Tasso and decided to try it ((really good by the way), we ordered food and I sent a text to Stefano to say that we were there, a couple of minutes later I noticed the restaurant manager walking through the restaurant while talking on the phone obviously looking for someone who turned out to be us, we were given VIP treatment in Tasso..
I met Stefano the following day and had a good chat with him he told me that Sirocco is based in his Grand Parent’s former home and that our bedroom was his Nona’s kitchen and how he loved sitting on the balcony with his Grandfather as a child watching the waves on the sea during the winter months.
The rooms are simply furnished but have one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on, there is a Smart TV with Netflix if you have the time to watch in such an amazing location. We couldn’t believe our luck in finding such a good place, we could walk into Sorrento in around 20 minutes ( I don’t recommend taking a taxi, we did one night at a cost of €25). There are a number of good restaurants within a 5 minute walk of Sorrento and the train station isn’t much further.
During our visit we travelled to Pompeii, Positano, Capri and Amalfi and couldn’t have wished for a better base than Sirocco. We also met Davide and Stefano’s mother who asked me if I had tried her homemade Limoncello ( a bottle was left in reception for guests to try, I had tried and enjoyed it very much, when I told her this she gave me a small bottle to take home.
The receptionist is Martina a real asset to the business, checkout is 11am and our pickup was 3pm, Martina kept our cases and returned to Sirocco to let us retrieve them.
The level of customer care we received was exceptional during our stay, a feeling echoed by other guests we met.
Hopefully we will return to Sorrento area and will definitely stay at Sirocco Suites

Sorry to report that we had a terrible time at Scirocco Suites, which is not on the Amalfi Coast. Unlike the photo, is is inland in Sant Agnello, which is quite a walk to Sorrento. When we had issues, Rocco, the Owner, would not answer our calls The cleaning person and his Mother, who both do NOT speak English, could not help us. Here is a list of our issues:
• The building the Sirrocco Suites is in is a commercial office building on the 5th floor, not residential. The elevator was barely big enough for 2 people, so my wife walked up the 5 flights.
• The Sirrocco Suites have postage stamp sized rooms, a tiny office-type reception area
. Breakfast is advertised, and it consists of a self-serve coffee machine, and packaged toast and cereal. There is a mini-fridge located behind an office reception counter with milk and orange juice. That’s the breakfast. There is no “room service” advertised.
• When we arrived we were met by the owners mother (she offered this connection). No one works at the facility. 1st, the woman took us to a closet sized room which did not have a balcony. We had booked a room with a balcony. She called her son and he agreed to move us to a room with a balcony. We had been traveling all day and were exhausted, so we accepted the room although it was also very small. It did have a balcony.
• We followed the woman back to the “reception area” where she insisted that we pay for the 5 night stay upfront. We were reluctant to do this and because it was late, and we were exhausted, we complied.
• When we returned to the room, we opened the shades and went onto the tiny balcony and were horrified to discover that we were looking out at a bus parking lot full of tour buses. Worse than that (please review the videos we took), most of the buses were running their noisey diesel engines and at least one bus was backing up (think beep, beep, beep noise) all day and evening.
• Again, we were exhausted, so we decided to stay one nigh only and leave the next morning. We also tried several times to call the owner and describe our dissatisfaction. We left several voice messages and never heard back from him.
• We left first thing in the morning after trying again to reach the owner.
After months of disputing the charges with our credit card company, we received a refund. Luckily we found an AMAZING hotel on the water with an incredible view, free multi-course buffet and more. It is the Hotel Carallo. Free shuttle to Sorrento. We had a wonderful trip despite our dealings with Rocco.
