Villa Garden is a refined boutique hotel located in the Peninsula of Sorrento, on a rocky spur directly above the sea. The breathtaking panorama one enjoys from the Belvedere encompasses the entire Bay of Naples, with the majestic Vesuvius, the gentle hills and the picturesque villages dotted along the coast immersed in the luscious green vegetation. A real corner of Paradise, where the ancient Romans built a splendid villa and where the great European painters of the 17th and 18th century came to seek inspiration for their magnificent paintings. Today this is the ideal place for relaxing and romantic stays, to discover Sorrento, Capri, Pompeii, the Amalfi Coast and other gems of this blessed land. The villa has been completely restructured but in full respect of the original architecture. It's 19 rooms are finely furnished, many of these have balcony and sea view. The personal care of the owners, the courtesy of the Staff, the intimate and elegant atmosphere, make of Villa Garden a "Hotel de Charme".

Hotel's Favourite
We loved the Hotel Villa Garden (family of 5 from Australia). The hotel is beautiful and perched right on the cliff top at Sant' Agnello, just outside of Sorrento. The rooms are bright and clean and only a few rooms in the hotel so it always seems to have a relaxed and quiet vibe. The pool area is fantastic and wasn't too busy when we were there. The team will organise any tours our transfers you need for your stay. Sorrento town is about a 20 minute walk and best to avoid the expensive taxis. Great local restaurants are a few minutes walk including our favourite Ill Ruttino!

Everything about this hotel is perfect. The rooms are well-appointed and stylishly balance a clean, neutral aesthetic with touches of classic Sorrentine design in the bathroom tiles and headboards. The beds are very comfortable (saying this as an American), and the facilities are lovely. The breakfast room is accessed via the basement and is carved into the cliff featuring a wall of windows that creates a stunning panorama over the water. The pool is serene, and the location cannot be beat (away from the crowds with easy access to Sorrento). With views of both the sunset and Vesuvius, I truly don't think there is a better place to have an evening cocktail in the entire Bay of Naples/Amalfi coast. As a cherry on top, it is a family run business, and Stefania, Gabriella, and Paola make you feel welcomed and comfortable from the moment you arrive. It has Italian charm plus every modern luxury and no pretense. One tip: If you are looking to splurge, the Deluxe rooms have a sea-facing balcony/terrace.

This hotel is superb. Stephanie and her staff are friendly, helpful and always available to call a cab, give bus information, make a dinner reservation, set up a tour, or just chatting for a few minutes making your day even more special. Our deluxe room had a terrace with a beautiful view of the bay. The large room, had a spacious bathroom with toiletries, a great shower, soft fluffy towels and luxurious bathrobes. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast of freshly baked cakes, pastries, cold meats and cheeses, bacon, sausage, fresh fruits, fruit juices, hot tea and coffee. Lunch snacks are available at the amazing swimming pool. Each night we watched the sun go down while sipping hot chocolate, cappuccino, or a glass of wine at the terrace bar out front. Be prepared to have to take a bus or cab to town, or if you don't mind a 20 minute walk, enjoy the fresh air and beauty of Sant Agnello. The hotel also has a restaurant on site, but with so many great restaurants and bars in town, you will be spoiled for choice. I loved this hotel. I would go back in a heart beat. From the welcoming drink and smiling faces, to the All Souls Day hand made chocolate truffles, this is a complete luxurious, pampering experience. Bellissima!

A small rather sleepy hotel on the very outskirts of Sorrento which overlooks the bay of Naples and Vesuvius.
A very romantic setting with a picturesque pedestrianised promenade in front.
Food OK, but quite basic.
Too far to walk into town, each taxi cost 20 euros. Be prepared to factor this cost in when booking,
If I came to Sorrento again, I wouldn't book this end, I would book Marina Grande end.
Definitely do not book the Amalfi trip through the hotel, as they quote for a private driver who charge 60 euros an hour and they anticipate it will take about 4 hours.
I recommend you book the Amalfi trip online through Tui, they do a minibus trip for a small number of people, with boat ride from Positano down to Amalfi, lunch in the mountains and a trip to stunning Ravello, called Gems of Amalfi. It cost about £110 per person, but well worth it. It takes between 8 - 9 hours, but nicely paced with free time in Positano, Amalfi and Ravello. Don't drive yourself the roads are a nightmare.
The crossing to Capri is quite rough, so don't take a small boat, take the ferry, much cheaper and as it is a larger boat, less rough. When you get to Capri take one of the open topped taxis for another 20 euros. Views are amazing.
The mosquitos have a field day, cover up from 3pm, have the spray, hydracortisone and after bite at the ready.

This hotel is just perfect! From start to finish we were made to feel so welcome, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We were in Sorrento for the first time and to celebrate my husband’s 50th birthday. The hotel gave him a cake for his birthday and even sang to him at breakfast. The pool area is lovely and the perfect place to enjoy a Limoncello Spritz while soaking up the sun. The breakfast is served in a room that is cut into the cliff and the views over the Bay of Naples are simply stunning. We have already booked to go back!

Our stay was AMAZING! This the cutest, quaintest, most charming hotel we’ve ever stayed at. The staff was so accommodating and friendly. Our first night there we we’re exhausted from traveling so we decided to stay in and grab a pizza to go nearby. My husband had asked for a recommendation on where to go, and when he came back with the pizza, they had plates and silverware ready to give to him. It was the sweetest and most thoughtful gesture. The pool is amazing to have, with beach clubs very close. It’s about a 20 minute walk into town. The best part, THE VIEW. If you stay, we highly recommend the full ocean view. We spend so many hours on the patio reading, talking, drinking wine, just soaking in the heavenly view. We will definitely be staying here when we come back!

Having stumbled on Hotel Villa Garden last year as we visited their excellent restaurant Paravisiello, we felt we needed to come and stay for the full experience, and my wife and I are so happy that we did.
The hotel is beautiful, the rooms fresh and homely and the pool area so calm and tranquil.
Having drinks and food whilst enjoying the spectacular views from the terrace either during the day or whilst seeing the setting sun is fantastic.
The 20 min walk from the sometimes overwhelming sorrento makes it the ideal location.
But the thing that made our holiday was the staff. From Gabriella and the team on reception, and the housekeeping staff making up our beatiful room to Tony and Maria who encouraged our very basic attempts at Italian and Giuseppe and his delivery of one or two "Negronis", they are absolutely lovely and professional to the perfect level. I just wish we could remember everyone's name.
My wife shed a tear or two as we ate breakfast on our last morning, and
we really do hope to come back soon to see the team as much as the hotel and the area.
A perfect holiday.

From the friendly welcome on arrival to the assistance with sorting out our airport transfer on departure (BA messed up) nothing was too much trouble for the team at Villa Garden.
They were happy to share all the information on the local restaurants, trains, ferries and anything else you might want.
The rooms were lovely, spotlessly clean and very individual, you could tell instantly that this was an independent (family owned) hotel.
Breakfast had everything you might want and was accompanied by a fantastic view across the bay of Naples to Mt, Vesuvius, excellent!

If you are looking for beautiful property with an amazing view, fantastic food and drink, comfortable, immaculate rooms, Hotel Villa Garden is for you. When we first arrived we were greeted by Stefania. I knew then we had arrived at a very special boutique hotel. We also met Paola and Gabriella who were also available to ensure we had everything we needed to make our stay special. The hotel has an amazing outside bar that overlooks the Mediterranean Sea where we enjoyed aperitifs while watching the sunset followed by a delicious dinner. Breakfast is included and is served in a beautiful space that overlooks the sea and the yachts and sailboats passing by. The food and service was excellent. The rooms were well appointed. The beds were comfy and the bathroom was large with a great shower.
I would recommend this beautiful, boutique hotel. I hope we can come back again. Thank you Stefania, Paola, and Gabriella for everything.

Dear Guests,
No we do not have the shuttle service. Walking from our Hotel to Piazza Tasso the distance is 1,5 Km, about 20-25 minutes.
Best regards and always at your disposal
Gabriella
We did the small group boat tour of Sorrento and Capri. It was great. We also loved the walking food tour of Sorrento. We did Pompei on our way back to Naples and it’s definitely worth the visit
Dear Guest,
From Naples train station you can get the local train Circumvesuviana and get off in Sant'Agnello or Sorrento and then get a taxi to the Hotel. Another option is to book a private transfer from the train Station in Naples directly to the Hotel , this service costs euro 95,00 to be paid directly here. If you are going to rent a car please consider that the parking near the Hotel is not guaranteed and is public ( subjected to a payment). We remain at your disposal for any further information. Thank you
Paola
Dear Guest,
Thanks for your request,
The street where we are is now pedestrian area and the parking is available only on the street near to the Hotel. Usually we offer to our guests a free parking pass only for this area but we can not book the space on the street ( public parking).
Once arrived in the Hotel we will give you all the information and the assistance to park your car.
Please consider thatmany street in Sorrento are now only pedestrian areas and from Sorrento it's very easy to reach the touristic sites by public transportation like busses, trains and ferries. We remain at your disposal for any further information you may need.
Kindest Regards
Paola Gargiulo
Car parking in general for the region can be difficult at times - the hotel i do not believe had a specific car park facility. However i am positive if you contact the hotel direct they will be able to give proper advice on where to park.
I note also that alike the prior comment there was plenty of public (street) parking we could see :)
