The Hotel Corallo, located in the town of Sant'Agnello, is a hotel situated on a clifftop with panoramic terraces and views of the Gulf of Naples, Vesuvius and the Sorrentine peninsula. The centre of Sorrento and Tasso Square with its characteristic alleys, is just 2 km away and can be reached on foot or by public transport. In 1910 this elegant patrician house became "Hotel Cappuccini", a meeting point for artists and intellectuals such as the great Luigi Pirandello, who stayed here in the 1930's. The recent renovations have enhanced an exclusive blend of past and present ensuring the hotel provides a beautiful backdrop for a relaxing holiday - an ideal place for visiting Naples, Amalfi, Positano, Ravello, the islands of Capri, Ischia and Procida, the archaeological excavations of Pompeii and Herculaneum and Vesuvius.

Nestled in a scenic location, Hotel Corallo Sorrento garners praise for its cleanliness and vibrant atmosphere, with travelers appreciating the stunning views and daily housekeeping. While the pool and shuttle service are appreciated, some guests note the pool's size and shuttle frequency as drawbacks. The prime location is a hit, yet it's not the most walkable according to some.
Room opinions are mixed, with guests loving the views but finding the decor dated and the soundproofing lacking. Service is generally commended for its friendliness, though value is debated due to perceived high costs.

Detailed Reviews
We had a deluxe seaview room which was fine with a nice balcony and fabulous views. Frankly I would not want anything smaller but the room was perfect for us although all shelf space for clothes is open to view, with the wardrobe having 2 deep drawers for underwear etc so no real issues.
Sant'Agnello is tiny with about 4 restaurants 2 of which are in the Corallo and the Mediterraneo. The Campanno is very much a locals restaurant, simple food, well cooked and reasonably priced. The Moonlight caters for tourists and locals and is further upscale with amuse bouche, a good wine list and a good menu - very good food.
You can catch a bus to Sorrento which costs €1.60 pp and takes all of 10 minutes. A taxi is €18 and if you are energetic it is a 25 minute downhill walk through meandering roads with a lot of traffic.
There always seemed to be enough sun loungers by the small pool although in high season this could be an issue. At 6 pm the pool is closed, the loungers stacked away and the tables and chairs put out to become a fine al fresco restaurant with fabulous views across the Bay of Naples to Ischia.
There is no beach or access to sea swimming (the Sant'Agnello "Marinella" beach is locals only) nor did we see any in Sorrento, only the typical Italian 'rock platforms' of countless loungers arranged in rows, at a cost.
Sant'Agnello station is an easy 15 minute walk where you can get a train to Pompeii and Herculaneum for a few euros each, far cheaper and easier than the formal taxi type tours. When you reach Pompeii station ignore the ticket offices there band walk about 50m to the main entrance where you can get all you need and probably cheaper. We went 1st week in September and there were no queues anywhere. Weather was 30c and very hot and sunny although Italian resorts tend to close at the end of September.
The restaurant and Sky Bar at the Hotel Mediterraneo are both impressive but the restaurant provided no service once starters had arrived and we poured our own drinks all night (it was not busy). The Sky Bar has a DJ, great seating, those incredible views and good looking, stylish staff. It also has a drinks menu that seems to cost minimum €17 for a cocktail but is very worth a visit - I would have stayed longer and drunk more but our table was booked in the restaurant.

Stayed at the Hotel Corallo for 5 nights. Spent the first 4 nights in a suite and the last night in an Executive room as the suite was not available for the last night. The suite had 3 balconies one of them been enormous with fantastic views. The Exec room was large with a big balacony but not as big as the suite. Rooms were clened every day and towels replenished each morning. The views for the hotel are outstanding, having breakfast looking out at the wonderful views is something we will never forget
The hotel is extremley clean and all the staff were very friendly. Breakfast was handled well in the sense that they served you the food from the buffet and you then brought it back to your table.
Sorrento is beautiful with wonderful boat trips to take to nearby islands or towns.
We loved it os much that we have booked to return next year
If I could make a suggestion for managament. This is not a criticism just a suggestion
1. A window blind on the bathroom window in the suite would prevent the people in the bar next door (not assosiated with the hotel) been able to see you having a shower!
2. In the Excutive room 456, an electric socket beside the large full length mirror in the bedroom area I'm sure would be greatly appreciated by the ladies,as we could straighen our hair or dry it there with our own hairdryer. Personally I always bring my own hair dryer as it's a good one and the large mirror was great but couldn't take advantage of it to do the above.
Overall a fantastic stay in a beautiful setting

Me, hubby and two children age 6 and 8 stayed at hotel corallo for one week from 17th-24th September
From the moment we arrived we were greeted by friendly staff, and sat down with a breathtaking view for a complimentary refreshment while our room was sorted. I found every member of staff incredible and was greeted by our surnames which I found a lovely personal touch. A massive mention to the lady behind the bar who works so hard and is just so happy and helpful at all times she really made our holiday extra special and I just wish I could remember her name 😢 on 22nd we renewed our vows on our terrace . So a big thank you for our events manager Michele maresca who made sure everything went smoothly he is a busy guy with sometimes multiple weddings happening at once but our vow renewel with just us and the kids was so special to us and, flowers, celebrant, violinist, everyone and everything was perfect.
The food is really lovely for lunch we didn’t actually go down to the restaurant for dinner as there was too much to explore in the town a few minutes down the road on the free shuttle bus which was amazing
We didn’t struggle to ever get sun beds next to the pool, room service for food or drink was so fast and efficient, hotel decor is stunning and everything kept extremely clean. Breakfast is standard scrambled egg, bacon and little hotdog style sausages where the hot option, pastries, pancakes and yoghurts ect, cheese and meats. You can also go into sorrento and have a big breakfast for around €14
Views from the room were beautiful, cleaned daily.
Do not let reviews put you off for wedding noise, the music or musicians are lovely to listen to, nothing was offensively loud and never heard any noise past 8pm and we’d be going out for dinner around then anyway. it will not disrupt your day or your sleep at all unless you genuinely just like something to have a moan about. I can’t wait to return one day, this hotel is very special and I think the staff add to this little gem. To everybody at hotel corallo THANK YOU!!!!

I read the reviews and based on the ratings we booked 5 nights. The view is beautiful and friendly staff but everything ends their.
For about $400 EU/night, for an executive suite, the rooms and hotel is very dated. The bathtub takes about 10 minutes to drain after a shower, we got one tiny 1.5”x1.5” square of soap for two days, you have to go to the bar with a special card to ask for more towels, breakfast is cooked but placed into serving trays with no heat under the tray; so expect a cold breakfast. No amenities that you would expect from a 4.5 star hotel. I could go on. We checked out after 2 nights and we were refused any form of refund. The hotel was half empty. If I booked the room today on trip advisor the room rate is $183. If all you want is a nice view that rate is ok. Expect about $60 round trip taxi into Sorento and generally only cash is accepted.

Everything about this hotel is wonderful! We had a sea-view room and the view was amazing, the room very comfortable and the staff incredibly welcoming and helpful.
Beautiful pool that we enjoyed every day, and having lunch on the terrace next to the pool was also one of the highlights.
The hotel has many private corners and several beautiful terraces to enjoy the view and the peacefulness. All the facilities are so well maintained, and I was especially impressed by the groundskeeper who was meticulously going about keeping everything green and clean every day. The hotel manager welcomed us and gave us a tour when we arrived, and we felt at home the entire time.
The location is great, the evening light and the sunsets not to miss. This is the perfect spot south of Naples, I would recommend it over the Amalfi coast any day. Best to have a car at hand (we didn’t), but public transportation is also quite accessible.

My partner and I stayed at this wonderful hotel to celebrate my 60th birthday.
From the reception staff when we arrived to the waiters and waitresses who served our meals and the maids who cleaned the beautiful room a heartfelt thank you fir making our stay so memorable!
The hotel is beautiful we had a sea view room, but it is the wonderful staff who made our stay so enjoyable nothing was too much trouble!
The hotel is ideal for exploring Sorento and the Amalfi coast also the Port of Sorento accessed via the local bus was easy to get to for our trip to Capri.
We could definitely recommend this beautiful hotel.

I moved to this hotel as I had important business meetings to attend on Zoom. I’ve had no wifi since checking yesterday. Front desk lied to me telling me it was being worked on last night when it wasn’t. Phone 4g doesn’t work in the rooms. I missed extremely important meetings and the hotel couldn’t care less. When paying $5200Aud for 3 nights I expect wifi at a minimum. The rooms are dated daggy rooms that look like they’ve never seen an interior designer. Bathrooms and decor is from 1985. Breakfast is a joke. Self serve processed pancakes and coffee that you serve yourself from a vending machine. I’ve honestly never had such a crap breakfast from a hotel. 2 star hotels would serve a better breakfast. Pool is a joke, I’ve seen bigger jacuzzis before- my pool in Melbourne is larger than the hotel pool. Hotel photos ar sse well photoshopped. My mother was woken 3 times in the night to her lights being switched on, and the walls are paper thin can hear our neighbours snoring all night. Never would recommend this hotel. My kids are miserable at this hotel without wifi and a decent pool. I’ve missed missed my business meetings and the hotel has ruined my trip. Manager doesn’t care tells me this happens! Maybe this happens when you are Camping, not when you are paying this type of money. Never happened to me in years and years of travel.

This hotel is teetering on the edge of the cliffs a short taxi ride from the centre of Sorrento - I visited in Sep 2021 with my husband and two grown up daughters. The location is great (nearby restaurants, Sky Bar and public access to swim in the sea, near Marinella). The hotel itself is spacious and the rooms were well maintained and quirky with coral theme. The pool area and various terraces look out onto the bay of Naples with views of Vesuvius and Ischia and the coming an going of boats and yachts. The staff were so accommodating from the attentive breakfast waiters to the reception staff (who seemed to know everything there is to know about Sorrento and things to do/see) to the two ladies serving at the pool bar. I don't often go back but I might go back to this place.

The hotel is 25 minutes walk to the centre of Sorento which we enjoyed, the hotel also provided a shuttle bus which was very good of the hotel if you did not fancy the walk back. The hotel is set in a beautiful location which offers many nice areas to chill and relax in the hotel with the bonus of a small pool and a great view. Drinks and cocktails were very good and the staff are very hard working and polite and make you feel welcome. Breakfast was very nice and once again the view was beautiful. The negative I have is that I was in room 124 a deluxe room has jet2 sell the room to you with a sea view, what you should know is these rooms are on level one with the breakfast area above your room most mornings I was woken at 630 by staff scraping chairs above my celling and at 7am folk scraping chairs too sit at their breakfast table, I did phone reception once at 6.30am to complain so I did not have one single layin at this hotel due to where my deluxe room is situated, the cheaper rooms were higher also three afternoons and early evenings the wedding party is right in front of your balcony so it is not very quiet for you to sit on your deluxe balcony and read your book with a glass of wine its noisey if I had known this I would have booked a superior room means smaller balcony but you are higher than a deluxe and have more privacy many times I walked out to my balcony to be looked up at by the wedding party no chill time for us in afraid staying here when I was woken every morning just think what room to book and your have a good time

This hotel is in a great location to explore Sorrento as the main center is a short stroll from the hotel. Taxis are available, but can be pricey. The views from the hotel are also stunning. We had great service, and a well informed staff recommended some great points to interest.

Yes to pool towels. As for restaurants, I would recommend Il Ruttino, which is a short walk away. They have great pizza and other homemade pasta dishes, with plenty of vegetarian options. The hotel also has good food if you are looking to stay in…we did this one night and were impressed with the food and service. The views from the restaurant terrace are incredible as well. Hope this helps! We had a great stay here, and I would highly recommend it.
I'm not sure. We did not have a car while there, but I suspect parking is available at a fee. The Hotel is at the edge of Sorrento on a quiet street, but street parking probably is limited.
Not heated but jacuzzi jets and I found very clean and spotted it was cleaned every morning

Hi if you mean one of the two executive suites you definitely need the top suite as you can partially look into the lower one from the pool area. We stayed in a superior room with large balcony over the floor where the canopies are and thus was a lovely room and we felt a good choice.
