#5 of 21 hotels in Sant'Agnello
Travellers' Choice
The Hotel Corallo, located in the town of Sant'Agnello, is a hotel situated on a clifftop with panoramic terraces and views of the Gulf of Naples, Vesuvius and the Sorrentine peninsula. The centre of Sorrento and Tasso Square with its characteristic alleys, is just 2 km away and can be reached on foot or by public transport. In 1910 this elegant patrician house became "Hotel Cappuccini", a meeting point for artists and intellectuals such as the great Luigi Pirandello, who stayed here in the 1930's. The recent renovations have enhanced an exclusive blend of past and present ensuring the hotel provides a beautiful backdrop for a relaxing holiday - an ideal place for visiting Naples, Amalfi, Positano, Ravello, the islands of Capri, Ischia and Procida, the archaeological excavations of Pompeii and Herculaneum and Vesuvius.

Beautiful hotel, lovely authentic traditional and a perfect base for a trip to the amalfi coast. Excellent value for money and incredible views. The hotel was also spotlessly clean. Staff were all so polite and helpful, special shout out to Emmanuella and Rafaela who went above and beyond with their service and helpfulness. Only criticism would be the breakfast could have a little more choice, very few hot options for such a large hotel.

Hotel's Favourite
When we first arrived at Hotel Corallo we were stunned by the beauty of the views. We had a lovely suite with an incredible view. Now, I must say, we came at a very very busy time. All of the Amalfi Coast was crowded. And we don't like crowds. And I was worried about the weddings they have here but that was not an issue at all. But the staff at this hotel was amazing in helping us to schedule things that totally avoided the crowds. The Manager, Antonello, could not possibly have done one more thing to help make our stay amazing. The concierge manager was incredible. She has a boyfriend who is the manager of a very swank boutique hotel restaurant and she set us up for the most amazing quiet and romantic dinner. Antenello was always there to greet us and make sure we had everything we needed. I'm a bit demanding when it comes to accommodations. Antonello gave us great recommendations for things to do and arranged for us to ferry over to Ischia. There is a lovely hotel there with a thermal spa. We had a beautiful day trip there complete with lovely lunch, spa and couples massage. This hotel has amazing views, but the staff is what really made our stay. Beautiful food and wine in our room. Everything done with such excellence. And here's the kicker. We were heading to Capri for my 60th birthday after our stay at Corallo. The weather was looking a bit iffy. Antonello said he was going to pray that the weather would be beautiful on my birthday. And guess what? It was! Not only that, but I got a phone call from Antonello that morning wishing me a very happy birthday and a reminder that he put in a special order for a beautiful day! Talk about going the extra mile. You will have a lovely stay in the property. It's gorgeous and the staff is outstanding.

The castle is absolutely gorgeous and the women working the reception area were very kind, however if you are looking to do anything on the property I would suggest to not get your hopes up and skip it. The only thing available during our stay was the wine tasting and cellar tour. Over the 2 and 1/2 weeks we were in Italy, this was by far our least favorite. We only tasted 4 wines all by reusing our one glass, the tour guide seemed to be rushed to get through the tour and tasting, showing she didn't enjoy her occupation. I also wish we would have known the only restaurant and food available on the property was closed Monday and Tuesday. Our apartment did have a kitchen, but we were not prepared to cook and the closest town was at least a 15 minute drive away. My husband and I started our honeymoon there, so the silence of Tuscany and beautiful hillsides were a perfect place to unwind. We would have also like to use their hot tub since it was cooler weather while we were visiting, but it wasn't able to be used unless reserved. Giving 4 stars since being from the US, having the chance to stay in a castle was a very fun and unique experience. Keep in mind, you may not actually stay in the castle, we were in a farmhouse at the base of the hill entry. Still a fun experience, but no plans to return.

Let me start by saying that I think this is a very nice hotel, with a great view. However, it simply isn't worth the money. I first booked this hotel for back in April, along with a dozen or so other people for a friends wedding. Due to covid, we had to all rebook for October. Well...sadly...the price had more than doubled! (500+ euro for 4 nights in April vs over 1160 euros in October). Fine, we bit the bullet and booked the same room to be with our friends. One with a balcony. Unfortunately for my wife and I, we got the smallest balcony on property which could barely accommodate two people. This would be fine if it was advertised that way. It was not. What made matters worse was that other people in my group, who paid the exact same price for the exact same level of room, all had HUGE balconies which could literally accommodate a full yoga class if one was so inclined. Basically we paid 300 euros a night for a small room, no balcony, and the added insult of literally staring at all of our friends with huge balconies. Added to that, the shuttle wasn't running due to 'covid' but they'd happily get you a taxi for 8 at a high cost. Additionally, the hotel is somewhat far from the town center and the added breakfast isn't good. However, the staff was great and the rooms were clean, if not small and uninspired. 2-3 out of 5. Definitely wouldn't stay here again.

I read the reviews and based on the ratings we booked 5 nights. The view is beautiful and friendly staff but everything ends their. For about $400 EU/night, for an executive suite, the rooms and hotel is very dated. The bathtub takes about 10 minutes to drain after a shower, we got one tiny 1.5”x1.5” square of soap for two days, you have to go to the bar with a special card to ask for more towels, breakfast is cooked but placed into serving trays with no heat under the tray; so expect a cold breakfast. No amenities that you would expect from a 4.5 star hotel. I could go on. We checked out after 2 nights and we were refused any form of refund. The hotel was half empty. If I booked the room today on trip advisor the room rate is $183. If all you want is a nice view that rate is ok. Expect about $60 round trip taxi into Sorento and generally only cash is accepted.
