The hotel was nice and clean, the staff were lovely and the location was close to the beach and 20 minutes walk into Sorrento. However the beds were not comfortable. We had albeit a cheaper room at the front and there was a lot of noise from the street and music playing late at night and early in the mornings. The terrace is lovely and relaxing and we had a takeaway from a nearby restaurant one night on it . The bar was not open but there is a takeaway bar across the road and the hotel will give you a glass to enjoy it. There's a lovely view from the roof and a jacuzzi.

Stayed in this nice little hotel on our stay in sorrento . It is in a district called sant Angelo which is a 15-20 min walk to sorrento town centre . It says it's a 4* but not like the equivalent of a Uk or Ireland hotel . The breakfast is very basic but nice , the room we had was on the top floor with a balcony which was a lovely room with a beautiful view of versuvious . The staff are all so welcoming and helpful they would get a 5* . The only downside i feel is that if its raining and you're stuck in the hotel there's nowhere in it to sit down and have a beer or a coffee as we found out with some unusually bad weather for this time of year . However it's in a nice area and at the end of the road there is a lovely little restaurant where you can have a drink and look out at the beautiful views weather permitting . It is also spotlessly clean inside which is a good sign of any hotel .

Lifeless hotel with a rooftop without service and a cold jacuzzi
No bar in the hotel fortunately there is the Seabar opposite
Very questionable room service with random towel replacement and forgetting in the room (plastic bags etc.)
Finally, the hotel overlooks a very noisy street.

I would not recommend this hotel. Our room was infested with ants, which got all over our clothes, walls and bedding. Despite multiple requests, hotel staff would not let us switch rooms. While staff were able to reduce the number of ants, they remained each day. Room also lacked cleanliness. Hairs on floor, coffee cups not cleaned after last guests, and bad odour at times.

This quiet little hotel is a small hidden gem about 1.25 miles from the main square of Sorrento. If you are wanting a quieter place to be, this is a great hotel away from the hustle of downtown Sorrento. The staff is incredibly kind and accommodating to all requests and the hotel is less than a block from a great little beach club with great pricing there as well. Additionally, the views are fantastic from their rooftop.

Hotel located on a busy street, therefore very noisy. You can hear the motorbikes rolling continuously, the people walking and talking loudly. Air conditioning that probably hasn't been cleaned in a while, smells bad.
The bed is soft, and you can feel the springs! Lots of hair in the shower drain, stained decorative pillow. Otherwise the photos are representative of reality. Paid parking 2 minutes walk from the hotel at €23 per day.

I have been visiting Sant'Agnello for 19 years so I know the high standards of the hotels in this area very well. First of all I made this booking my mistake on booking.com, I selected the non refundable rate, it was a genuine mistake on my part as the information on Booking.com said I would pay when I departed from the hotel but the hotel took the payment in full as soon as the booking was made leaving my overdrawn, I still owed for one nights stay as there was not enough funds in my account. I telephoned booking.com who rang the Hotel and they refused to refund my money, I even telephoned the hotel to ask them explaining I had made a very genuine mistake but they refused to refund me. So instead of loosing nearly 950 euros I had to stay. So when I got to the hotel around 11.45pm I was met my the night receptionist, I did not receive a warm welcome from him, in fact he seemed disinterested and not customer focused. Then I got to my superior room which was 192 euros a night, this hotel is supposed to be a four star, the hotel room was so very small, nice decor and the bathroom and shower were very nice but when I opened the draws in the wardrobe to put my clothing away the draw was dirty and has pubic hair in it, it had not been cleaned. The terrace/balcony was really nice with chairs and sun loungers. My bed sheets where never changed once in the five nights I stayed, I would of liked to have got into a bed with clean sheets, especially when it is so hot. Breakfast was average, the scrambled egg was cold, the oder man who works in the area serving breakfast was very nice and friendly. Considering this is a four star hotel I really feel it does not deserve to be. None of the staff once asked me if everything was ok, if I was enjoying my stay. I feel staff can make a hotel, this hotel is a beautiful building in a fantastic location but there is no soul in the hotel, no warmth from staff. They are very happy to take your money but do not offer a good service in return.

The four of us stayed in Hotel Crawford for two nights on our trip to Sorrento.

Important TIP! : There is a bus stand right opposite the hotel which you will be able to get on a free bus that takes you around the island for free. It’s best and the cheapest way to get to the hotel and you can hop on it where the ferry docks - (there will be people trying to scam you into taking their “cabs” at the docks where they’ll charge an exorbitant amount so beware!)

The hotel was clean, fancy and comfortable with wonderful and helpful staff members! They served one of the best breakfast we have had on our trip in Italy with a vast selection of pastries, buns, really tasty donuts, a variety of cereal, scrambled eggs, bacon, tomatoes & veg and also a huge tray of fresh fruit! An espresso machine is also available for unlimited coffee consumption- good if you need the energy for a busy day ahead!

There is a lookout close-by with a restaurant if you’re looking to have something with a view and don’t want to walk too far. If you’re looking for something not as fancy and more casual, there is a friendly family Neapolitan cafe in the area for a quick, fresh and very reasonably priced dinner! The Sorrento city centre is just a twenty minute walk away and the train station which takes you to Naples and Pompei is only a five minute walk away.

We enjoyed our stay in Hotel Crawford in room 306 and 309 and will recommend it to anyone!

At the end of May we finished our two week tour of Italy in Sorrento staying at the Hotel Crawford - Our stay there was wonderful - the hotel, from the time we walked through the door to check in with Anna at the desk until the time we checked out three days later was wonderful. The staff could not have been more helpful, friendly, courteous and attentive. From Anna, Roberta and Flavio in reception to Pasqualina in the breakfast room to Rosa, the ever smiling and happy Rosa, who kept our wonderful room with the water view, and the hotel immaculately clean. The location was perfect, a small walk down the hill opened up to a plaza that was on the water with a nice restaurant - across the street was a juice bar, diagonally up the street was a great Italian restaurant. Train station nearby took us right into Pompeii - and it was a short ten minute walk to downtown Sorrento - such a wonderful way to end our vacation.

This hotel is close enough to the action but also far enough out of town for peace and quiet. Just steps away from the bus stop and a couple of great restaurants I highly recommend this hotel. Each room is unique and special. The staff is friendly and helpful. Don’t forget to go to the rooftop terrace with a Jacuzzi!
