No bar in the hotel fortunately there is the Seabar opposite
Very questionable room service with random towel replacement and forgetting in the room (plastic bags etc.)
Finally, the hotel overlooks a very noisy street.
The bed is soft, and you can feel the springs! Lots of hair in the shower drain, stained decorative pillow. Otherwise the photos are representative of reality. Paid parking 2 minutes walk from the hotel at €23 per day.
Important TIP! : There is a bus stand right opposite the hotel which you will be able to get on a free bus that takes you around the island for free. It’s best and the cheapest way to get to the hotel and you can hop on it where the ferry docks - (there will be people trying to scam you into taking their “cabs” at the docks where they’ll charge an exorbitant amount so beware!)
The hotel was clean, fancy and comfortable with wonderful and helpful staff members! They served one of the best breakfast we have had on our trip in Italy with a vast selection of pastries, buns, really tasty donuts, a variety of cereal, scrambled eggs, bacon, tomatoes & veg and also a huge tray of fresh fruit! An espresso machine is also available for unlimited coffee consumption- good if you need the energy for a busy day ahead!
There is a lookout close-by with a restaurant if you’re looking to have something with a view and don’t want to walk too far. If you’re looking for something not as fancy and more casual, there is a friendly family Neapolitan cafe in the area for a quick, fresh and very reasonably priced dinner! The Sorrento city centre is just a twenty minute walk away and the train station which takes you to Naples and Pompei is only a five minute walk away.
We enjoyed our stay in Hotel Crawford in room 306 and 309 and will recommend it to anyone!
"If you are not up for the walk to and from downtown Sorrento, please be prepared for the average taxi price to be $20-$25 each way. "Read full review
"Try to get a room with a balcony. Definitely eat at Il Ruttino, right up the street(2 minute walk)."Read full review
